August 2004 We spent 10 days at Peppermint park, which we all enjoyed despite the weather (boy did it rain!) We had 2 pitches with electric hookup so we had plenty of room. Showers and toilets were clean and water lovely and hot. The drains near the washing up facilities did smell most days. The shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. The club was good especially as my friend and I won £290.00 at bingo!!! Would visit again.

August 2004 Just returned from here the pluses are the teenagers loved it, the swimming pool, club. The showers plentiful clean and ample hot water. the location was great in walking distance to beach and numerous pubs. The down side the pitches for tourers were cramped and got waterlogged the awning was an awful state. But I suppose things may have looked better if the sun had shined a bit more. The club was typical holiday camp style and the beer quite expensive.

July 2004 CRAMPED is definitely the word for this site, tents too close together in my opinion. Don’t even think about taking a large caravan unless you are very good at manoeuvring it into a very tight space and those with awnings & 4 x 4s had to park practically on the already narrow road, the emergency services would struggle to get in quickly.
The toilets/showers cleaned once a day by a friendly chap, which although being busy are OK. Some of the showers are better than others - most of the water went straight over my head as the shower head is fixed (put your shoes on the shelf / seat or they WILL get wet)!!
The washing up area had only 4 sinks in a rather snug space & did not smell too fresh.
Pre booked pitches are level & well maintained but don’t think about staying in the overflow field unless you are a mountain goat as the pitches are on a steep slope, as is the children’s play area.
OK supermarket on site & another on edge of park. Snack van does excellent rolls at breakfast time, takeaway on site too and fish & chip shop opposite that also does pizza & jacket spuds.
Pool used VERY briefly as my small children became distressed as it was full of children splashing about on inflatables - even in the baby pool. Club pleasant but small.
Dawlish Warren is nice enough, great green area and child friendly pub with decks overlooking the sea. High sea storm walls down to beach with no railings added to the stress levels with independent toddlers to deal with!!
Had a great holiday, nice friendly site but having spoken to a lot of people the general consensus was “not the best site we’ve been to” Would not go back.

July 2004 I sense a common theme on most of the review here. Am I going to agree You betcha. First time away in our motorhome thought we should choose a park with everything and lots for our 4 year old to amuse himself with. I wouldn't say we were dissatisfied more dissappointed. Pitch mas tiny no way we could have had an awning, Very very close to each other and hard to get into as the road was so narrow on site. Pool was closed (Peak Season!!!) Club was heaving and far too small for the amount of people on site. Showers were hot (too hot for a child with no way to regulate the temperature). However there are very helpful staff (politeness goes a long way) and everything was very clean. I don't think we would visit agin though. Just too cramped. 6 out of 10

August 2004 We have just returned from a week at Peppermint Park with our 2 children aged 9 & 10. Our tent was pitched in the 'Park view' area. The pitch was plenty big enough with enough room for the tent the car and plenty of space at the front which most people wind breaked off. We would rather have been on the edges of this field with only a tent on each side. Unfortunatley we were slap bang in the middle with tents on all four sides. Toilets and showers were clean and plentiful. Only four washing up sinks though and people were queing to wash up. The drains leading from the sinks smelt pretty bad.
Shop was very well stocked and reasonabley priced.Nice snack bar. Only '2' washing machines working out of a possible 4 in laundrette . People queued for hours to use them , I never actually mangaed to get near one and towards the end of our holiday kids were running out of clean clothes.Kids loved the outdoor swimming pool and water flume which had 2 lifeguards on duty at all times. We never actually used the club facilities but by all accounts they were supposed to be very good.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks were that this site was absoulutey heaving. It was very very busy and very very noisy. There seemed to be lots of families with three or four pitches together who roped off the whole area and socialised well into the night often playing loud music. Out of the school holidays I daresay this is a really lovely camp site but if like us you are confined to the six weeks be prepared, your kids will love it but don't expect a peaceful break.

24-31 July 2004 Well, have just got back from here, the toilets & showers were cleaned at least 4 times a day, plenty of free hot water too. The clubhouse got really over-packed on the 2 occasions we went there, they also charged 40p for a pint of tap water! so I was quite glad that in Dawlish Warren itself, there are plenty of pubs all with good food. Drink prices are quite steep too. I must say on entering the park along the one way road I was quite shocked at how close all the caravans were to each other & was beginning to get a bit worried that our tent would be the same, but luckily where we were situated there was plenty of room & it was flat. People were all friendly too. The only real thing that got on my nerves here, was those damn seagulls! I've never in all the years I've been camping, heard anything like it at 4 in the morning! May go back if wanting to holiday in that area again.

July 2004 Hired at static van for a week which was of a good standard, the club was good for kids if a little loud at times. However (no prams in the club at night we had to take our car seat). The pool was good, the shop well stocked, playarea was well maintained. About a 20 min walk to the beach. The site itself is a bit hilly. Recommended

June 2004 Having only just got back from Peppermint Park after being there for 2wks this was the second time we have been there. Kid's enjoyed themselves, they had more fun this year than they did the first time we went last year. The entertainment staff were brillant with the kid's, plenty of stuff to do through out the day, nice stocked shop on site, swimming pool kept clean all the time. Bar and shop staff very polite and frendly and by the shop is a lovely snack van does from full breakfast down to kids full meals. Enjoyed our 2wks hoping to back again this year in August.

30 Apr - 3 May 2004 First time camping with family - wanted to make good impression - and succeeded!
Staff really helpful and friendly, pitch was level and large enough to accommodate 5mx4m tent, 2.5mx2.5m gazebo and car. Shower blocks regularly cleaned and plenty of free hot water. Washing up facilities good also.
Club house laid on excellent facilities (this was their first weekend) - came over and introduced themselves to us, took kids away and entertained them and us. The only concern is that the club house is fairly small and would probably struggle in the high and peak seasons. Bar and food prices average.
Pool not open (opens end of May for the season) but able to use the indoor pool at Golden Sands next door.
Would certainly go back.

September 2003 We were here in September and hired a Static, the site was very clean and tidy, the shop was well stocked, the entertainment was great, the take-away was good and the food good, also their mixed grill is something to be believed. Will be going again in 2004 with our caravan because the site was excellent all round. Toilets & showers very good as well
