First class amenities, shower, toilets building. Excellent and helpful wardens. Five minutes to the picturesque Ingram valley and only a short drive to Alnwick. We went with our motorhome through winding country roads 'over the top' through some beautiful scenery to Rothbury. (We even spotted the beautiful red squirrel). Being a nature lover, I wasn't too concerned at being wakened early in the morning by hundreds of grey lag or Canada geese. They were located on a nearby old quarry pond and left to feed on the cornfield stubble in the surroundinding fields, returning to the pond at dusk. The area is a haven of beautiful Northumbrian countryside and the super beaches of the county.

Very lovely site! Showers, toilets and laundry block are wonderful and very warm.
Only a couple of niggles; the childrens play area was about 1 mile away in Powburn, there is a field onsite where footy can be played, but it's on the top banks of a large lake. And there is not really electric hookups for the very small tent section, I think they took pity on us and gave it to us via a very long extension! We were the only tent with electric, the others were all told it wasn't available for tents.
The wardens were a bit unsure of things but they were only filling in due to sickness, saying that they were really friendly and helpful.
We would definatley go back.

This Caravan Club site has just been refurbished to a very high standard.
There are a number of hard standings as well as grass pitches spread out over various areas which results in the site feeling a lot smaller than it is.
There is a shop within about 3/4 mile that sells pretty much everything.
Highly recommended
