Lovely site. We were there for 3 nights in the walled garden - site is well run lovely friendly staff and if you fancy fishing you couldn’t ask for much more as river about 50 m from tent.

Only two issues we had no hot water in taps in bathroom ( showers fine ) and there didn’t seem to be anywhere to charge anything as only shaving plugs in bathroom.

Very handy for the village and the coffee shop on site is very handy

We like to have a real fire going so that was a drawback but none the less it was a great stay.

Lovely peaceful site. Staff more than helpful.

Lovely breakfast in the cafe.

Toilets nice and clean.

A bit of a walk into the village but well worth a visit.

I love this site! Discovered it last year.

The site is excellent set in a country park with an abundance of woodland walks and a massive playpark for the kids.

Also a beautiful river walk.

There are pitches for every need and they are a good size there are EHU or non electric.

There is a putting green and a well stocked shop on site and a new cafe on site.

The site accepts tents/caravans/motorhomes. T

Here are plenty toilets & showers and plenty hot water.

Visit, it's great!

Lovely large site with plenty of nice walks and a short walk to the nearest village in Alford, where there is pubs serving nice food, and shops for convenience.

Reception staff very friendly and informative with helpful advice.

I was given a key for the use of disabled facilities for a deposit of £10 but I returned it after trying to use these facilities as the shower was very poor only a trickle no pressure and cold.

The toilet blocks look very tired and are in need of restoration especially when paying a high end amount to stay at this site as they are very run down.

The coffee shop was pleasant as we sat outside around the back and ordered food. Bit pricey for the portion sizes though.

The dislike the most was having no signal for phone or tv. No wifi on this site but poor reception with the amount of trees couldn’t use our tv at all. After 2 nights we were ready to move on.

For me, it was the best campsite we have been, a big pitch with really lots of space, very very friendly people.

It's in between the wood so cou can hear the wind in the trees, you feel like being alone there.

Woke up with the sound of the birds, great! I love the showers, the only one's I could leave with dry feet, everything is clean.

Free hairdryer made my day. In the small shop you can buy things you forgot at home.

Special places for dogs at the riverside to play, nice walk along the river.

Very very good site! we will come back.

I really wanted to give this campsite great reviews but sadly due to the attitude of the staff I couldn’t.

There are renovations ongoing and on the last day I did some laundry and used the plug in the laundry. I was given a stripping down and spoken to as if I was a child despite the fact we had stayed 6 nights. If you don’t want people to use the plug put a sign up or block it off. Due to the attitude of the staff we would sadly not return and do NOT recommend this campsite. Use the one in Ballater or Braemar instead where the staff are welcoming and child friendly.

The rules state that dogs must be on a lead at all times but this was not adhered to by many owners.

Also only three toilets open on a weekend in our block so there were queues for the toilets.

Highly recommend the pub in Alford and the community railway which is open on weekends. Co-op in the town is also well stocked.

Large site which is now in the hands of new owners,

The site could do with some TLC

There is a small shop on site & the site is very near to a children's play park.

We look forward to returning in the future to hopefully see an upgraded site.

Lady in charge was very pleasant and approachable and explained park was being renovated.

Shop was well stocked

Toilet block was very clean. Showers were dated but also very clean which is more important to us.

Lovely walks along river and around the grounds.

You can see that once all renovations have been completed this will be a beautiful park

Peaceful and scenic site. Fully serviced pitch was excellent.

Toilet facilities were spotlessly clean but quite old and clearly would benefit from major investment.

The potential for this site is huge. A 20minute walk to the attractive village of Alford where there is a good hotel bistro, a further bistro on the main Street and a coffee shop in the new garden centre.

Lots to see and do. Surrounding countryside is superb

The Park is well kept and litter free.

Toilets and shower clean, nice forest walls and kids loved the park.

Bins emptied regularly

Weather was kind to us so had a bbq as well.
