 A remote Scottish getaway.
Beautiful location.
Adequate facilities although make sure you are well stocked with food and drink options before you arrive.
Cafe/shop does do coffees and hot food (pizzas) until 4pm but that’s it.
Showers and toilets good and clean

We planned to have a 3 night stop here to visit the south area of Skye but due to it's remoteness we just hunkered down and enjoyed the spot for 2 nights instead (the road in is an 8 mile single track with passing spots so getting anywhere takes a while - which in our opinion is part of the appeal!) So I wouldn't particularly recommend this site for a base to explore if you are in a motorhome (we have a campervan). Just soak up for views instead.
Sadly we didn't get to visit the fairy pools as the weather was so hot and we had a dog with us, on the plus side it meant we got to swim in the sea! amazing and very shallow - nice for kids.
We liked the 'wild camping' feel and found a good non electric spot, electric spots are available from 12 midday each day and the site has a chilled vibe though no one seemed to follow the 10 mph and some flew in and out!
Lots of fantastic walks from the site, and the views from the site and bay are stunning.
Facilities are fine, but a couple of small negatives -only 3 showers open for a pretty busy weekend and mine was freezing cold so gave up in the end (another lady had the same problem). The floor also gets really wet and muddy but there are no drains to mop the water and mud into.
Final moan (and someone had mentioned this to us) was the vile stench as you walk over to the toilet block, how people were camping there and eating their breakfast I will never know! Also a slight design fault having the chemical waste just in front of the ladies loos that was always left open and you had to walk past - could they have not put it round the back of the toilets? May be they weren't allowed to.
Anyway saying that, this is a not to be missed site just for the stunning views and remoteness.
You can get coffee etc and various freshly cooked pastries from the reception/shop (staff were very nice too) and you can order fresh bread for the following day.
Definitely a place to come back to. Just bring a peg for your nose :-)

What a gem of a site, the Cullin Mountains, a group of Munroes, making a fantastic backdrop. The site is at the end of an 8 mile single track (with passing places), once you pass the Fairy Pools (after 4 Miles), traffic becomes easier, then look out for sheep and other wild life that uses the road as well
There is an allocation for the 37 Electric Hookups at 12pm each day - first come first served; not understanding this our first night was "wild" camping the next three were on hookup.
We never used the toilet block or showers (we used our own), not that there was anything wrong with the ones on site. The site has a lot of "pockets" for tents to hide in, there is more of a field area for Caravans/MotorHomes/Campers.
There is a Motorhome service point on site.
The gently sloping beach is grey sand and comes straight off the site, the sea was warm and the bay is sheltered, each day you can get barista coffee, hot chocolate and various freshly cooked pastrys from the reception, you can order fresh bread for the following day.
We planned an overnight stay and then to move on, we stayed 4 days using this site as a base to explore and do some serious R&R. Lots of life some more wild than others - deer, sheep, cows, geese, sea birds, visit the surrounding fields.
So many types of walks from the site, whether walking or climbing the Munroes or walking to the end of the bay (3-4 miles). The views are magnificent the surrounding area stunning.
Definitely a place to come back to.

Absolutely lovely location. And the staff were so helpful and lovely.
Ordered the olive bread for the next morning, which along with the coffee, set us up for the day.
Will definitely return.

This site really gives the feeling of being out in the wilds with picturesque scenery on route.
Check-in was friendly and speedy and the coffee shop is lovely.
The facilities are excellent with a real emphasis on Covid safety maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
The site is close to the famous Fairy Pools walk which is a must on your visit.
We would definitely stay again if in the area.

As others have said this site is remote but I don't agree with the negative comments about the road. Yes it's narrow but many roads in Scotland are the same, careful driving and anticipating others is advisable.
My only negative is the state the showers were left in even though there was a mop and bucket very few people seemed to use it and the floor looked a muddy mess.
Great staff in the shop, nice baking. Didn't try the coffee unfortunately.

Great location; good shop; showerblock good
Beach at site and phenomenal outdoor sports area
2 negatives only - chaotic pitch management - people returning from days out to find their pitch taken; beach outfall from toilet block whiffy - maybe overloaded at a busy time

The campsite is in a stunning position by the beach, and does not run a booking system, but is quite large and has many pitches.
However the toilets (esp gents) are somewhat overloaded and cramped with only 3 cubicles, two urinals.
This is a popular site, some nights it is packed and there is generally a small queue for the showers, cubicles or even urinals at any time of the day.
The shop sells coffee and freshly baked croissants and some fresh bread but does not sell basic essentials so bring all food supplies with you.
The access road is single track so allow time for driving the 8 miles or so.

Great beach, no sand, typical black grit that stains everything that comes into contact with.
Perfect if you are traveling alone or on the run.
Many other sites on the island offer more.

Lovely site and very friendly and accommodating staff.
We originally booked in for 1 night but stayed another as it was so relaxing.
Showers are really nice.
