Lovely site as a base to get around the area.

We like walking so lots of places and paths.

Overall the site was clean and tidy, however, when the site is busy you may have to queue up to use toilets and showers

Otherwise we had a great time, and the weather was kind to us.

Excellent location for town, beach, walks and buses.

Excellent facilities, spotlessly clean, everything nicely signed. Well stocked tourist information booth.

Brian and Annie very welcoming and very knowledgeable about local info.

Pitches well marked out and good size.

We will return.

 Second year at the site.

Will return again, loved the facilities and the pitch sizes. Quiet side of island and good access to local amenities.

Some protection from the winds that this side of the island is plagued by (consider pitch choice).

Only downside is can be very muddy site if wet.

Fantastic campsite if you want something that feels a little more ‘wild’ and back to basics.

The pitches are surrounded by trees/bushes so feel very private, and it has great biodiversity.

It’s also close to a bus stop if you’re travelling without a car, with easy links to Yarmouth.

We’d recommend braving the cold showers for a good laugh and an invigorating start to the day, but might be worth bringing mosquito repellent, as well as some kindling /fire lighters if you’re renting a firepit.

Nice campsite to stay in, wardens are lovely and close to all necessary shops, beach and walking.

Only gripe is that barrier does not open till 7am so maybe a good suggestion would key code.

 Great campsite with great wardens.

The facilities were spotless, the pitches are huge.

10min stroll to Colwell beach, shops, restaurants and busses close by.

Open pitch of good size. Leveller needed under one wheel but no problem. Location is excellent with easy access to coastal path

Excellent seafood bar on path towards alum Bay.

Alum Bay reached on foot from site, beautiful 2 hour ish walk. Proximity to town and large coop store.

Did not use facilities, other than chemical disposal point, due to covid, but looked good.

 Quiet and relaxing

Will return! Close to ferry and freshwater.

The needles are close and there is some great walks to monument and needles.

Shops are also close by and quite a few shops offer delivery To the campsite ( nice if you have relaxed with a few beers!)

Very pleasant site, helpful wardens and really enjoyed the beautiful IOW. Nice fish and chip shop in Freshwater. The Vine pub were maintaining the Covid rules very well.

Could do with more and larger shower cubicles and more wash facilities though.

We will be returning hopefully in the new year.
