A friend and I were cycling around the island and this was the first campsite we stayed at. The owners were lovely and the pitch was quiet and very clean, I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone! The facilities were clean and well looked after, and the atmosphere of the site was lovely

Just spent five nights at Heathfield farm. Great location for several walks. Well laid out site. Excellent dog walk. Unfortunately holiday was spoilt due to the lack of hot water in the showers. We did mention the problem to the wardens three times, they said the 'pilot' light had blown out (which was relit) no change. They then informed us they had a boiler engineer coming to investigate the problem that afternoon (no change). A couple of days later I enquired whether the engineer had cured the problem, because the showers were still lukewarm. His answer was the 'pilot' light was lit! I had been on a site (Isle of Wight) earlier in the week paid cheaper rates per night, and had a heated toilet block with plenty of hot water.

Just returned from a week here and we're very pleased with everything about our stay. We were able to choose our pitch at the time of booking which was great, the pitch was easily large enough for our eight man tent and car and far enough away from neighboring tents to allow us a nice quiet stay. Other people on the site were all very friendly. There are several walks starting straight from the campsite and we enjoyed them all. Great pub, the Vine, in Freshwater about ten minutes walk straight downhill and others within 15 - 20 minutes at Colwell and Totland Bays. Only very small niggle was the shower cubicles which were on the small side but easily manageable for us. The wardens were great, very friendly and helpful and all the facilities we'll maintained and clean. We especially liked the separate areas for dog walking and playing field, the site managed to cater for everyone. Would love to return.

We visited this campsite for 6 nights. On arrival reception at 4 oclock it was closed but there was sign tell us of our pitch. There are clear guidelines that you have to be 1. 5 metres away from your boundary for fire regulations. There is a field for exercising your dog which is good. There is also a field for the children to play in which for us was right over the other side of the site about 200 metres away, containing football posts and a netball hoop. The showers and toilets as other have previously mentioned are clean but showers can get busy at peak times and the showers could do with being not so narrow and more of them. Location wise, site is within walking distance to the shops which is handy as there is not one on site. There is wifi on site but is £5 for your stay and signal is low. The site was immaculately tidy. We didn't see or hear anything really of the owners, only when he told my daughter off for riding her bike, not parking it in the designated bike stand which she couldn't as her tyres were too wide and so had lent it next too them and hollered at for not know which bin to put here rubbish in. This was a quite tidy site but this is because there are a lot of rules.

We chose this site for its proximity to Yarmouth and the 'Old Gaffers' boat festival and very pleased that we did as it's a top site with a new shower and toilet block that is kept immaculately clean.
It's also very handy if you like to use the bus, (which on the IoW are brilliant) as there is a bus stop very near the site entrance.
This is a quiet well run family run site and it shows in the way it is so well kept and cared for
We will definitely return!

Great location for seeing West Wight and going for long walks away from it all. The owners so friendly and accommodating nothing is too much trouble.
When we arrived the ground was soggy and a big rally had just left so the ground was a bit churned up - they had emailed us to warn us - we were towed on and off because our motorhome can get stuck. Very easy and they repaired the site around us while we stayed! We will definitely return it was so clean too.

This campsite is very well maintained, clean toilets and showers, good washing up and laundry facilities. Pitch was a great size and all the grounds were immaculate. We are a family of 4 with a dog. We like to play ball games like catch, swing ball and volley ball however, games were only aloud in the games field and dogs were not aloud in this field and you were strictly instructed to not leave dogs unattended at all, so we were unable to play all together. Also there was no atmosphere on the site! Not one family sat outside their tents chatting or socialising in the evening. Every night everyone was zipped up by 9. 30pm! A real shame as we love the camping outdoor relaxed atmosphere of most campsites, where laughter and chat can be heard into evening. The park wardens are very friendly but very strict, we looked at the island map by the shower block and was immediately asked to step back 2 meters because dogs were not aloud past a particular post! So this site deserves 8/10 for the facilities but 5/10 for atmosphere, the strict rules and lack of atmosphere was not for us!

This was going to be our last 2 weeks Holiday in our beloved Auto sleeper Duetto before we sold her. We had booked 3 sites for our visit to the IOW but when we received the welcome from the site wardens, and the site we were shown to, we soon changed our minds and cancelled the other sites. The facilities are very clean and a little organization cured the lack of space in the shower cubicles. The showers were always hot and powerful + free. The site itself is kept very well manicured and there is a generous portion given to you for your 'estate' for your stay. The WiFi was good value at £5 for duration of your stay, plus a good connection speed for BBC Iplayer etc. This is a 'David Bellamy' approved site so the flora & forna are brilliant. The wardens seemed to be always on hand to give helpful advice on where to shop, travel, visit etc. Thank you for a great Holiday.

This is a really nice campsite which we would return to and recommend to our friends. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We have a smallish tent and the pitch size is very generous. The toilet block was clean with free showers and hair dryer.
There is a bus stop outside the site which we used to get into Yarmouth most evenings.
There are no swings on site but a large field for ball games. A shop with papers would have been useful. There is a good selection of leaflets for local attractions.

We stayed here for a week in August. We booked our ferry via the campsite and got a slightly cheaper deal.
We had a premier view pitch which was spacious enough for our tent. I like the way that the site does not cram another row of pitches in so that there is a lot of space in the middle. The facilities were clean and enough for the site, my only downpoint is that the shower cubicles really are a bit too small, especially when you are trying to get changed.
The children really enjoyed the playing field and made other friends quickly. Everyone else seemed very friendly and many people we spoke to were on a revisit to the site. The wardens were very helpful and polite, they also had a small information kiosk where you could exchange books and magazines. There is no shop on site, however we booked a supermarket delivery which the wardens were happy to have deliver to pitch and there are supermarkets and a nice fish and chip shop (The Rainbow) 5 minutes away in Freshwater.
The site is a little further away from many of the attractions on the island but I think that lends to its quieter appeal and it doesn't take long to drive to sights on the other side. We visited Osbourne House with its beach, Yarmouth, Alum Bay, Bembridge and Sandown, but our absolute favourite day out was at Steephill Cove near Ventnor.
We would recommend this ite and plan to return someday.
