Very run down and uncared for. Shame as it’s on a brilliant location. The main park is nothing like any photo - the site has been decimated through felling all willow trees by the owners - I counted one willow tree left - all have been cut down in the main site and also the CL field, leaving a very bleak and ugly landscape. I question why it’s still called Willows and why they are continuing to use out of date photos.
The main site itself is a gravel circle and you park around the edge of the road. There seems to be more seasonal pitches, vast winnebagos greet you as you drive in, which makes it look particularly undesirable. The toilets are in desperate need of a deep clean, maintenance and update. I took one look at the shower and walked away.
Good things going for it is the pub and the walk into town along the river.
Be very careful if you arrive 3 minutes early before check in - the warden will make it very clear to you, you are unwelcome. Not a great experience after a long drive. I’ve read on another review the warden blocked the number of a caller who arrived early! Strange behaviour if trying to run a business, but speaks volumes.
If you’re needing a stopover/overnight, nice pub and meal with a walk - this would work. Run a mile if needing longer.

Firstly ignore the site name and the main photo - all the willow trees have been cut down and apart from the vegetation on the site perimeter there is virtually nothing on site, making it rather bland.
The site is vulnerable to significant flooding on the river-side - we had to move pitch. There are no 'conventional' hard-standing pitches - if you want hard ground you park on the widened sections of the single gravel track which circles the site - feels like parking at the roadside.
The facilities are dated - kept clean but low-level maintenance - eg the toilet in the assisted shower-room was out of action for our entire stay. For two days, the facilities block was completely closed due to drainage issues. Customer service is rather lacking, based on our experience of many other sites.
The only positive is that 'The Old Mill' bar and restaurant is only a 100 metre walk away - not cheap but staff, service, food and drinks were all excellent.

Overall summary:
Nice site, well kept and easy check in with Luke. No site warden
Good access to local walk to Huntingdon & GodManchester and the Brompton mill gastro is just outside the site
Best bits
Quiet/ location- convenient
Clean toilets/ showers*
Areas to consider/ improvement
Only 1 washing up sink.
Toilets only 3/5 in working order. 2 showed both in need of a refurb although keen with exception of
***No hand soap all weekend. Nor sanitiser***. When asked if it could be filled up told they didn’t have any!
Lots of long stays so not many people about although vans on most pitches. This might result in queues at busy times
Hay fever suffers beware there are loads of beautiful trees but the willow pollen is everywhere
Site gas barrier but everyone drives around and in and out via a second lane and access point so defeated the safety point

We were really impressed with the campsite, it was well maintained and although I heard they were short staffed, we really didn’t notice or experience any problems. A small play park for young children within the site kept lots of children entertained for hours.
The nearby Brampton Mill is an excellent restaurant with great cocktails!
We took our bicycles and cycled into Brampton, Huntington and Godmanchester, it’s really flat in the area and cycling was very pleasant, a cycle path meant you don’t have to go on any roads.
The river Ouse is wonderful to walk along and the largest meadow in England, also within walking/ cycling distance, is beautiful to walk through.
The price was very reasonable, and in fact good value as it was Easter when we went which can be very expensive.
We will definitely be going back!

This is an excellent site, there are beautiful walks from the site next to the river Ouse, a great pub the Brampton Mill is a 100 yards from the site, and the site is as pretty as the photos.
It is clean and friendly.
We had the grandchildren come and spend the day with us and they loved it too.
We will definitely be going again.

Lovely site by a great gastro pub and small marina on the Great Ouse. Owners helpful and friendly.
Grass was still soft after recent rain but all touring units parked on gravel road with awnings on grass which worked really well.
Has its own canoe/paddleboard launch site on marina and took kayak to Godmanchester along a lovely river.
