First impressions were mixed on arrival at site, this being our first trip here. At the entrance there is a feeling that this land was once a former industrial area, broken road tarmac and a single storey building for reception that could have been a factory office.

However, once you go further into the site it opens up and a large flat area of grass pitches and hardstanding pitches becomes evident.

It’s a large site with two toilet blocks, a swimming pool and a bar/ takeaway/ restaurant.

Facilities are a little dated but were always clean, and the bar/ food were reasonably priced with a good atmosphere as long as other residents were in the bar. There is a residential park area and also seasonal pitches on site.

Pitches were large with a nice grass area to the side, and during our stay the site was quiet. In fact it didn’t look more than a 1/3 full, surprising for the end of July.

The site is well connected to various cycle routes, Yelverton and Tavistock, and the National Trust venues Saltram House and Buckland Abbey.

We also used the Coypool Park n Ride bus to Plymouth, about 15m walk from the site to the car park.

We didn’t use the swimming pool, but during the nice weather of our stay it always looked well used.

There is no wifi on site except in the area of the bar, and we found the TV signal to be a bit hit and miss, some days good others not.

Knowing what I know, I would return due to its excellent connections for walking, cycling and buses, but would need to make sure I had more data on my phone!

Visited the site many times in the past with young children. This time as a couple with dogs. Easy to access from the A38 Plymouth Express way.

A very pleasant return. The site remains as well maintained as it was some 25+ years ago.

The landscaping has matured and various improvements have been carried out as well.

Surrounded by woodlands that protects the site from the worst of the weather.

We won't be leaving our return so long next time.

 Clean, friendly and quiet location.

Perfect for visiting family who live in the area.

Swimming pool and games room was enjoyed by grandson.

Loveley river walk that runs adjacent to the site. Handily located for A38 home.

This was our third time staying at Riverside Caravan Park in Plymouth. It's so easy to get to being close to the A38 so an easy drive. We love the fact that it so so close to the city but on site you would never know.

It is quiet, in the Plym valley with woods around the sides and a river running alongside with walks along the bank. The facilities are always kept spotless however it was cold in there this time as the weather was awful and I'm not sure there was any heating in the block.

The water is always lovely and warm in the showers with push button controls which we prefer. I believe there would be ample facilities even if the site was full as the large block is double sided with toilets and showers either end with the laundry and dish wash in the middle. There is another facilities block nearer the reception.

There is a little club house on site, it has a small menu for meals which we have always found very good, nothing too fancy but a good price. This time we pre booked (necessary) for the Sunday carvery, a choice of turkey and beef and it was excellent.

There is also an outdoor swimming pool, not been brave enough to go for a dip!

An ideal site for visiting Plymouth with the many attractions on offer. Also close to Saltram and Plym Valley woods (National Trust), close to Dartmoor and many other places to visit.

Also only an hour from home for us so an ideal weekend away destination.

What a beautiful spot. Such a pity we had only the one night.

Facilities and grounds immaculate.

Very kind and helpful staff.

Definitely will return to explore riverbank walk.

We had a lovely 3 night Easter weekend until we went for the Carvery! Please note when they say 7pm they mean 7pm!

We arrived at about 7. 15pm everyone was served and had practically finished we were treated like we had arrived 2 hours late and were lucky to be served.

Told it’s always been like this but as it was our first time we hadn’t realised it was speed eating, thought this was worth a mention, 7pm means 7pm don’t forget!

A brief but delightful visit - I will come for longer next time !

The friendliness of the manager and the industriousness of the ground staff were impressive reminders of what it takes to maintain a site like this.

This was our second stay at Riverside. It's a very quiet site surrounded by woods and bordering the river Plym. You really would not know you were so close to the A38 (Marsh Mills roundabout) or Plymouth as it is so secluded. So convenient to get into Plymouth but without the road noise that can be a downside of many sites.

The site is very well maintained, grass is short and there are many shrubs and trees which make this site so attractive. There is a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches and they are well spaced out.

On site there is a clubhouse which also does lovely meals during the week and with a carvery on Sunday evenings, there is a small takeaway, a games room with a pool table and table tennis (didn't use but looked good). There is an outdoor swimming pool and paddling pool but again didn't use as weather was awful! There is also a small play area for children.

The facilities are kept clean. There is a large block including a laundry room with ironing board, hand sinks plus washing machine and dryer. There are also a couple of sockets, free to use for own hairdryer if needed. The dishwash room is also kept spotless with piping hot water.

There are plenty of toilets and showers and again the water is a good temperature, it's push button showers (we prefer this) and they drain well, could do with a few more hooks though. There are also a few privacy rooms with hand sink plus toilet.

Just outside the entrance there are walks along the riverside. There is a large Sainsburys just off the Marsh Mills roundabout and several other supermarkets in the area.

Lots of nearby attractions, the Plym Valley railway, Plymouth Hoe, theatres, Dartmoor is not far away. Also several National Trust properties in this area. Saltram House is the nearest but Buckland Abbey, Antony, Cotehele to name a few.

I liked the location and the places you can cycle too, which are well marked.

It was quiet at night and the facilities were clean.

With a swimming pool an takeaway on site,
