On the plus sides this site is beautifully kept and the grounds really are immaculate. The toilets were of a standard you'd expect of a posh hotel.
On the downside is the formality - there are literally posters/notices everywhere and the rules are extensive. This didn't really create a relaxed atmosphere.
The pricing wasn't too bad considering the facilities on offer.
As previous reviewers have stated there was some road noise, but it wasn't too intrusive.
Sutton-on-Sea itself is quite pleasant, and although it may appear a little old-fashioned, it certainly would spoil the place if it were to become more commercialised.

We visited this site at the beginning of this season and were thoroughly pleased by what we found. The site came by recommendation and we were not disappointed.
The owners were very helpful and helped to site the caravan. They have high standards and it shows, which appealed to us. Landscaping and toilet block were immaculate!
We had a problem with our gas supply but Geoff sorted it out and gave us some very useful tips to boot. They obviously have a lot of caravan experience which is helpful.
The site is in a lovely rural area of the east coast and so makes for a very restful holiday watching the local farmers at work.
We enjoyed our break so much that we are due to return twice in October.

Just spent 4 nights at this site. It was a last minute decision to go, having a week off work. Booked only on the day we were to arrive.
On arrival we were greeted by the owners who helped us site our van, a few reversing tips was really appreciated as not very experienced at reversing. Got set up within no time. We opted for a serviced pitch, which in our opinion is worth the extra.
The site is located very close to the beach where dogs can use all year round. I must say at this point that this beach is much nicer than the beach at mablethorpe. Sutton On Sea is a very pleasant place. Not much in the way of shopping and certainly glad we came armed with a fridge full of food as only local convenience type shops available, but don't let that put anyone of visiting this site a bigger supermarket is available in mablethorpe.
The site itself deserves the 5 star rating which it has. Toilets are absolutely the best I have ever seen. Spotlessly clean - you could eat off the floors(well not really, but you know what I mean) Pitches are well spaced, level and hardstanding. Very well organised refuse area and chemical toilet disposal area. A stunning site. From what we have seen this week, we will definitely be coming back.
A lovely place away from the hustle and bustle of nearby 'seaside' resorts, but still having the convenience of what seems like your own private beach.

Along with other reviews I can only confirm that this site is indeed worthy of it's 5 star listing. It is immaculately laid out and kept in pristine condition by the Husband and wife team who own and run it. The high season fees are very reasonable, and worth every penny. The site does not have a shop, but daily newspapers are available from the reception if ordered the previous day.
It is a half an hour walk into Sutton On Sea, along the main road, the town has a very good Spar supermarket, Fish & Chip shops, Chemists, Pubs and a good class hotel, the Bacchus Hotel, which does a carvery and very good Bar meals. The site is also on a bus route, although there isn't a bus stop outside the site the drivers will stop, on most occasions, if 'flagged' down, which makes Mablethorpe, Skegness and all other places accessible for those wishing to leave their cars off the road.
The beach at Sutton is magnificent, miles and miles of golden sand, and only 20 minutes walk from the Caravan Park. The only grumble I could possibly make about my stay at this 1st class site is the other Campers, for whatever reason, chatting was not on the menu. Other reviews have mentioned the road noise, I did not find it a problem, in fact the site is set back from the road and the only noise audible was from the occasional 'souped up Boy racer' type vehicles that we all have to put up with.

We arrived as newbie caravanners and were greeted with a welcoming friendly smile. Very high standard of site upkeep with approx 60 pitches. As dog owners we were pleased with the overall welcome and were shown to our pitch by the owner who ensures that everything is set & correct.
Unfortunately there's no bar or restaurant (which we were aware of) but a great location and a mile walk to the beach. Good facilities and morning newspaper service.
All in all a pleasant experience but not really for those who want to meet others socially. If your looking for complete peace & quiet then this is the place for you

Superb, clean and well maintained site.
Toilets and facilities 5 star+++++
The owners, obviously seasoned tourers, seem to have thought of everything.
Unfortunately, no pubs in reasonable walking distance, and Sutton on Sea locked in a time warp, but easy access to all the East Coast resorts, Mablethorpe, Skegness and we had a great day in Chapel St Leonards. Great for bringing back childhood holiday memories.
Great site, would go again if only for the high standards!

Excellent Site. Will definitely be going back to this one. The Toilet Facilities were excellent, spotless and clean. We cycled for miles along the Prom and around the area on quiet peaceful roads. It is a gem of a site, can't wait to go back. We found the price reasonable too. There was only one shop in Sutton on Sea and they had limited stock which I think was due to it being up for Sale but you could easily get to Mablethorpe where I believe there were bigger shops available.

It was our first time in Lincoln and found it to be a lovely place .
Lots of places to visit.Ie Lincoln Cathedral. The Castle. Braeford water front . A walk on Steep hill is a must .
We stayed at The Cherry tree for a week
Very clean toilets and showers. Washing up area and laundry room . There is a dog walk off site and a 15 minute walk to the beach through farmers field (dogs allowed all year )
The only Down side I have to say was the traffic ( take ear plugs ) constantly busy from 7am onwards till late night as the road is the main through road to Skegness and other villages on the way .

This was our first time in Licolnshire and found it to be a very nice area to visit. Just spent a week at The Cherry Tree site which was very nice. Well maintained and looked after and had very helpful owners. We were shown to our pitch upon arrival, then helped to reverse into it, toilet and shower block was immaculate too, couldn't fault them. The only thing that let it down for us though was the constant traffic noise from the busy main road just outside.

Just returned from a lovely weekend at this site and it is one of the most looked after we have visited.
It is just a mile from Sutton-on-Sea and about 5 miles from Mablethorpe.
The owners and all the guests were extremely friendly.
Geoff showed us to our pitch on arrival and helped put the van in correctly.
The toilet and shower facilities were spotless.
It's close to the beach, so it was nice to go for a run on the sea front on Sunday morning.
There is a very useful tourist information hut.
A visit to the seal sanctuary in Mablethorpe is a must if you are an animal lover. The work they do is excellent.
We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this site and will definitely be visiting again in the future.
