This site is very well thought out and built by caravanners for caravanners. The pitches are covered in granite or slate type chippings and each has a strip of grass for occupant use, but awnings must be on the hard standing, so rock pegs are a requisite. There is no shop but there is a newspaper service and shops are short minutes away.
The site is spotless as are the toilet and shower facilities. There is a tiny area for dogs to do their business at the site entrance which really doesn't merit even a small charge for dogs. The sea front can be accessed by foot via a path through a field and takes twenty minutes or so, but is pretty boring. As it is only a few minutes drive right up to the sea front overlooking the beach, it's hardly worth bothering with the walk and you can walk for miles along the front anyway. This is an adult only site and could be termed as a little formal. The facilities include a motorhome service point and are modern, well maintained and spotless. This is the spot if you want a peaceful holiday or a break from it all. We will certainly go again.

A wonderful well organised site with the best owners ever. Don't be put off by the introduction. It may seem as if there are too many rules but that is the only time they are ever mentioned. There is plenty of room between the beautifully kept pitches. The showers and washrooms are immaculate as is the washing up facilities. Would recommend rock pegs or screw pegs when pegging out as the ground is shingle / slate & can be very hard. Geoff & Margaret are excellent hosts & a wealth of local knowledge. Well worth the slight extra cost for the site. Lovely deserted expansive beaches for the dog to be worn out on locally but the town beach has restrictions in the high season.

From the moment we arrived it was obvious that the owners Geoff and Margaret were passionate about their site. We were taken to the pitch, reversed in and given a full overview of the site and surroundings.
The pitches were in the main hard standing, some with full services. They were level and constructed to a high standard. The grass and hedges separating various areas were immaculately maintained.
My pitch was large enough for the caravan, awning and 4X4 all side by side, with some room to spare.
The washroom, toilets and waste disposal areas were well designed and always clean and tidy.
This site fully deserves its 5 star status.
The site is situated just off a main road and although there can be some traffic noise in the day, it is very quiet at night.
The site is located within easy reach of some lovely beaches.
The sea front is ideal for cycling and walking.
Sutton on sea has sufficient shops to provide the usual provisions, but you may need to drive further out if you require a larger food store.
I note from a previous review that there were a lot of rules in place. In my opinion, the rules were minimal and only necessary to ensure a quiet, peaceful and safe stay.
I would certainly recommend this site to any adult who wants a peaceful and quiet stay. So don't go there if you want to cause a nuisance, it wont be tolerated.
Having enjoyed 8 nights at the site, I look forward to returning again in the future.

We have just got back home after our second 2 day stop at cherry tree in six months. This site is immaculate. Having just read some of the comments on here I totally agree with all the positive ones! Try it and see, I doubt you will be disappointed. Full marks to Margaret and Geoff, you both really do deserve the five stars. If we do find a better adult only site after this one I will come back here and say so, but I know that finding a better one won't be easy.

Visit this site, very well run clean. Site owners are also very helpful. Near to all the the shops one would need, petrol station nearby, Sutton on sea a short distance away, Mablethorpe not to far, Skegness approx 12 miles. All facilities spotless reasonable rates too, Security is excellent, just been upgraded to 5 star,

We have recently stayed at Cherry Tree caravan site and although I can see why it has recently received its 5 star rating there are areas that let it down. The close proximity of each pitch does not allow for prvacy. The noise from the main road is always in the background. And the rules are something else, I am all for rules but some do not take into account that the owners are dealing with adults. Now for the good points.Clean well maintained site with a very good welcome from the owners. It is such a shame that the negatives are such that it can stop you from wanting to return in a hurry.

Site is wonderful. Facilities are best seen so far, clean at all times and the people really do care about their site. It's a good 10-15mins shortcut walk to beach front along a earth path at the side of farmers field. Lovely beach that allows dogs all year round, can literally walk for miles. The only pub/hotel we found in walking disatnce was 10 to 15 mins walk. Food nice and it also had a nice big beer garden.

Just returned from a brilliant weekend at cherry tree site. Immaculate toilets, everyone helpful, site so peaceful and relaxing. Walked to chapel st leonards visited the admiral benbow pub, this is a pub like no other if in the area its a must see.Walked to Sutton on sea it was like walking into a 1950s time warp and that's no criticism a delightful place. Yes we shall return to cherry tree site. Highly recommended

An immaculate and well managed site for adults only. The owners were friendly and helpful. We particularly liked the full services it offered, i.E. Our own tap and grey water waste for each pitch. Although busy when we arrived, it was very peaceful. Toilets were probably the cleanest I have ever encountered; even the cloths at the sinks were folded each day neatly and in placed in the exact position. Well recommended if you are in the area.
