South view farm was a brilliant site. The views are stunning. So much to do and visit within a short radius.
The shower and toilets are modern, smart and very clean.
But what made the site most appealing to us was Brain and his son, the owners. They popped up for a chat, checked in that we were happy and everything was good, which it was.
We can’t wait to go back to South View.
Highly, highly recommend this site.

A jewel in the the crown of the stunning North East.
This site is very flexible well maintained and suitable for all.
We had booked a plot for camping in which we built our tent as planned beside our pitch the owners John & Brian were in the process of erecting self contained pods, we decided to book the 1st pod they had installed.
We had the flexibility of the pod-shower toilet ( a mini house with all home comforts tv and heating! and a fridge for beer and wine).
Kids spent their time roaming the fields and feeding the horses with country walks on your doorstep with the owners dedicated in ensuring your stay is hassle free.
Well done and thank you for the hospitality. David & family

Fantastic location with stunning view.
The manager was very friendly and helpful.
The only downside was the lack of pot washing facilities but we filled our own bowl up and washed up at the tent.

Loved the fact that the owners (Brian and son John) were quick to answer my booking enquiry as mine was a last minute booking.
Site is in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Cleveland Hills and it feels as though you are miles away from civilisation (which suits us fine).
Although the toilet/shower block were probably one of the cleanliest in our experience, the fact that there are only two cubicles meant that there was always a queue of people waiting outside to use them (ok in fine weather but would prove challenging if inclement).
Also I don't think there were any washing up facilities or rubbish bins but this may be due to the latest measures for Covid security.
Since we only stayed one night with decent weather none of the above negative factors impacted on us and we enjoyed out stay at Southview, but I imagine this would be challenging for longer stays.

Arrived at the site mid-afternoon. Wonderful views of the Cleveland Hills to the south. Excellent facilities and lovely area.
Good hard standing pitch for our Motor Home.
What we liked was the fact it wasn’t crowded.
Would highly recommend.

Great views of the North Yorkshire Moors. Plenty of space between pitches and Brian and his son John were very helpful and friendly, with a wealth of local knowledge.
The new toilet and shower block was excellent. A lovely hot shower after a walk in the moors followed by watching the sunset light up the ridge.

Arrived at site mid afternoon. Given a choice of pitches in this lovely little gem of a site. Chose pitch towards the bottom of the field.
Two very modern clean toilet/shower units which were available for use. Stunning views from all points on this tranquil site. Lots of space to walk our dog. Owner very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Perfect base for visiting local points of interest in the area.
If you like Thai food don't miss out on the excellent food served in The Blackwell Ox in Carlton.
Owner is in the process of setting up glamping pods on the site. One already there and is one of the best we have seen. Well equipped and fitted out. We will be treating ourselves to a short stay in a pod in the future.
Will definitely be returning soon.
