July 2004 This is the best camp site for families who just want to spend time together without all the hastle of everyday life. The forests provide an excellent backdrop to a wonderful site which is well maintained, clean and friendly. we have been every year for the last five and will be booking in again this year. Although the attractions of Devon are a drive and the shops are in Cullompton or Honiton, every mile around this site is welcoming and warm to you. The best attraction of all is the ice-cream shop in Honiton!!!!

August 2004 Really nice site. Large, flat sheltered pitches. Good play area for children, swimming pool is small but still really nice. Very clean friendly site, we spent 10 days there. It's surrounded by woods, which are ideal for anyone with dogs. We spotted a lot of deer in the woods and the odd squirrell, but you have to be quiet. The local Tesco's is in Honiton (20 min drive), once in Honiton turn right at the traffic lights, then take the road towards Sidmouth, and take a left at the second roundabout.

May 2004 Disabled accessibility: 60%
This is a level site with good quality driveways and paths.
There is a disabled toilet and shower with its own key issued to disabled visitors.
There is a ramp to the shop/ reception block and an additional ramp is available to improve access into the shop. The shop itself is one of the few that actually has enough room between the shelves for a wheelchair to get round without demolishing the place.
There is a very nice swimming pool that has both changing rooms and pool access accessible to wheelchair users.
The laundry room equipped with washers and driers has a ramp for wheelchair access.
Two areas that are not accessible are the games rooms which is situated up a flight of stairs and the washing-up area which has a low (3 inch) step up to the sinks.
This site is surrounded by a forest and there are forest walks all around. These are mainly accessible to wheelchair users although one does need to take into account that it is a genuine forest and you will have to negotiate the occassional tree root:)
All in all this is one of our favourite sites and we shall be visiting many times each season. It is quiet and peaceful and the owners are more than happy to help disabled visitors enjoy their stay.
Highly Recommended.

1990-2002 We have frequented this site every year since 1990 either for short breaks or the main holiday !! either in static van or tent and it is an excellant place to get away from it all & relax ! Our kids have grown up going there and at every age they have been they still love going! even though the play park is not the greatest they use their IMAGINATION! and play in the woods alongside the park. The owners are very friendly & helpful and every winter re invest money in improving the site which is kept spotless ! Well drained and well stocked shop, take away food indoor games room and forest walks make it ideal !! Most seem to have a barbeque stoked up of an evening and this gives a great atmosphere! The nearest supermarket is 10 mins away and Tescos 20 and the coast 30 but with the emphasis on R & R and peace and quiet it is hard to beat this site!

We have been to this site 3 times now and have used both the Static Caravans and a normal pitch for our tent and we think that this site is superb. Without a Bar the site is very quiet and has superb walks through the forest. Toilets and showers are clean, free and hot. Has both a tennis court and indoor swimming pool that is heated. Though I am not entirely convinced about that, but both my children certainly enjoy it.
The only thing that I will mention is that nothing is close. Tesco's is a good 15 to 20 minutes drive away and any attractions are a good 30 minutes drive away, but that has never presented us with any problems. It also has lots of good local pubs, with the Sidmouth Arms and The Hare and Hounds being two that we would recommend.

We have been to this site twice so far. The facilities are spotless. The owners very friendly, and the pitches well maintained. We all love this site, and intend to use it regularly. 5 year old niece loves it, it is a safe and secure place to take your kids. Try it!!!!
