June 2004 Superb site, very well run, daily papers delivered, listen for the "toot toot". 2 good pubs within walking distance 100 yds. Try the "hungry horse" meals at The Rake. On site dog exercise area. Showers v.good. Pre-book essential. Sainsburys just across main road.

I, my good lady wife and our two 13 month old girls visited this site, it was an experiment to see how the girls would take to being in a tent.
The site itself is immaculate, the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a limited amount of pitches for tents (all with electricity) but oodles for caravans.
I honestly could not believe how well run and maintained this site is, the shower and toilet block (including baby bathing room) were outstanding and all inclusive of the nightly fee (I have been to sites where they charge for a shower and blimey you have to dash out quickly whenever the money runs out otherwise it's chattering teeth time).
If you don't have the inclination to cook, well 5 minutes (if that) walk down the road is the Hungry Horse pub, the food there is fantastic and well a 10oz rump steak with chips on a huge platter (with the works) is only £5.99.
The Blue Planet Aquarium (good stuff) and Chester Zoo are only around the corner also.
I cannot praise this site enough and will return very shortly (and hopefully often) as I and my family had a great time.

August,2003 Although not a club member had a friendly welcome, level site for our tent. Excellent shower, washroom facilities. Good play area. Good security. Near to Chester Zoo and Shopping Mall. Only drawback - no meeting/social area on site. Would definitely like to return.

Well kept and laid out site, friendly and helpful wardens. Plenty of large hard standing pitches, you must use these in the winter. Four service points and a motorhome service point. Toilet block is heated and kept to a very high standard. Booking is necessary even in winter as it is a busy site. Pub with Hungry Horse restaurant about 100m away, and Outlet Village within walking distance. CC site but accepts non members. Overall an excellent site and will use it again.

Oct 2002 What a lovely site. We popped in on our way back from a holiday in Wales. The wardens were very helpful and allowed us to look around the site. The toilets ect were beautiful. There was a small laundry room, iron and iron board all in exellent condition we will defintely be booking a stay.

This is a caravan club site with the excellent quality you come to expect. It is convenient for Chester - use the park and ride by Chester zoo.
It is within walking distance of an excellent outlets park - shopaholics note !!
