First time to this site and really enjoyed our weekend stay, the site is well maintained, large pitches and the facilities are excellent, wardens were very helpful when we arrived.
The site is close to Chester zoo which is an excellent day out. A 5min walk from the site entrance is the pub called The Rake and has a soft indoor play area which my grandaughter loved. Also close by is Cheshire Oaks and The Blue Aquarium.

Stayed over the half term week. Nice site the usual CC standards. When we arrived some of the pitches were under water due to the bad weather but we found a lovely pitch. The only problem I had was the constant background noise of traffic. Was glad that we weren't there in the summer as this would have driven me made.
Nice dog area. Fenced off so you can let your dog off just enough room to throw a ball for our Lab. Plenty of places to visit for longer walks in the area. Wardens were very helpful and good information room.

Just had a fabulous weekend at this lovely site.
We arrived on the Friday lunchtime for a two night stay in our little campervan (Dougie) and wish we had booked for longer.
From the moment we got there the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The site was busy as we expected during the six week holidays but we had no trouble finding two pitches together as we were travelling with another family. We pitched adjacent to the children's play area which was ideal for both our child (age 3) and theirs (age 8). Another nice feature of the play area was that it is screened off completely with mature trees and bushes so as not to disturb other campers who are lucky enough to travel without children!
The toilet and shower blocks are kept immaculately clean and tidy all day and there are more than enough to ensure you never have to wait for a shower even first thing in a morning.
We had a key to the family bathroom as we had a young child, and this was also spotlessly clean. It has recently been refurbished and was bright and cheery.
The reception has a fridge with ice cream and chocolate in but that's about it. Luckily you don't need much else as there is a fabulous family pub about 1 minute walk down the lane called The Rake. We ate here both nights out on their patio while the children played on the adventure playground.
Chester Zoo and The Blue Planet aquarium are a 10 minute drive and there is a fab designer outlet at the bottom of the road.
All in all a really top site and can't recommend enough.

We had a great week on this site. The wardens deserve a special mention, they keep the site spotless including all the facilities and were really friendly and chatty on arrival not just the usual business greeting. The pub near the site has been refurbished and was always busy. Despite previous comments there are a limited number of grass pitches. There also appears to be some kind of pre booking system as on the morning of our departure a reserved sign appeared on our pitch stake and the chalkboard on the reception stated strict 12.00hrs departure as the site was fully booked. We will use this site again and would happily recommend it. I also checked the usual CC comments book in the information office and all the comments were positive. One comment pointed out a problem with the lighting surrounding the path to the toilet and this was actioned by the wardens. Well done all connected with this site

This was our first ever outing in our touring van.
The approach to the site was easy even for a first timer!
I felt the staff could have been more helpful on arrival. They were unable to offer advise on which pitch may suit us.
The pitch was hard standing and spacious with hook up.
The facilities as we have since found with other Caravan club sites were immaculate. Basic childrens play area.
Fantastic nearby attractions with outlet village being a short walk away.
Would go again if visiting the area

Another great site up to the usual high standard of the Caravan Club. Great spacious pitches and a very friendly and amenable set of wardens – I appeared to start a trend of putting caravans into the pitches sideways and looking out onto each other. Much more pleasant and sociable if you ask me.
There is a small dog walk on-site, but not much more immediately near the site – I did find a public footpath a few hundred yards away, but presumably a farmer had dumped a huge pile of manure across the whole path.
Shopping is easy with all of the outlet shops and a large Sainsbury’s within a mile of the site. Due to the proximity to the motorway, which makes this place really good for access to all the local attractions, there is a little road noise. Not enough to bother us though.

We did a four night stay here cos we just fancied getting away and it is quite local.
Facilities up to usual caravan club standard as was the rest of the site, good spacious hard standing pitches. The best part I thought was its location, within about a three minute walk there is a big pub which does decent food and I would imagine in the summer the beer garden and play area which is huge will be very poular.
Another five minute walk takes you to cheshire oaks retail park which is fabulous and just behind that there is cinema, bowling and all the things you need when the weather isnt suitable for the beer garden mentioned above.
Will definitely return.

Enjoyed our stay, staff very kind. Toilets etc very clean. 3 eating places nearby. Supermarket and outlet centre all within walking distance but very dangerous if walking. No pavement to walk on in rake lane. The council should do something about this before someone has an accident and is seriously hurt, otherwise smashing site.

Just visited this site for a long weekend.
Toilets and showers were clean, as was the whole site. Pitches generous and well maintained but there were no grass pitches although the web site says there are.
Wardens and everyone on site very friendly.
You could choose your own pitch although the corner one we liked best was coned off ( presumably reserved as a smallish motorhome went on it later the same day). One way system made looking at all the pitches before you made a choice more difficult as you had to reverse back if you decided that you preferred one near the entrance.
Sainsbury’s 2 minutes away but wasn’t very good. A huge Asda at Ellesmere Port was very good. Poor visibility onto exit road from the site.
Wifi signal OK if you sit still but very expensive!

First time out in our new motorhome. Weather mixed but lovely sheltered site. Managed to blow all the fuses when hooked up. Too impatient to think about overload. Need to insert hook-up and turn to the right to connect. Site immaculate, very well maintained. Lovely hot showers. Walked to Sainsbury's and Cheshire Oaks, the roads are very busy but be patient you'll cross eventually. We are returning in August for a week. Vaguely in the background you can hear the traffic, but you have to stand or sit still to hear it.
