Visited this site for a long weekend. It is a very nice site. Toilets and showers are excellent and were cleaned twice a day. The laundry was a big help as the weather was not the best whilst we were there but this did not spoil our holiday. Our three children loved the play area and pond. Even when the site got busier there was still plenty of space for the children to play. Nearby Killin had all the shops that you will need and the fish and chip van is well worth a visit. Would definitely visit the site again.

Nice friendly site, very laid back with a "pitch wherever you like" attitude which is our preference. Only complaint is that much of the ground is sloping so if you arrive in the evening it is hard to find a level enough pitch for your tent if its busy. Dog friendly with lots of walks through the woods right down to the lochside. Very welcome place to get out of the heat as it was lovely and cool in the woods! Price is reasonable. Only 2 toilets and 2 showers available so you have to choose your time to use them, though it did state that there were more toilets and showers elsewhere. However, showers were free. Didn't use the restaurant. Nearby Killin has a good selection of shops for supplies and/or eating out. Nice site and will go back but will make sure we arrive a bit earlier next time.

A nice site, lovely location with a superb restaurant serving an interesting menu and quality food. Great camping field with many interesting pitches, some on the edge of woodland or in secluded areas away from the main fields. Ball games allowed, very spacious, will return some day.

July 2005 Really impressive campsite, and a great base for a walking holiday. Do not want to sing its praises too much as it might encourage too many people to go - and spoil it! Electrical hook up for the tent was much appreciated .Restaurant is particularly good and relatively inexpensive for the area - but you may need to book when busy, as we found out! Nearby Killin has a good Co-op for all necessary provisions. Excellent site - thank you.

August 2005 A nice quiet park with lovely walks down to Loch Tay. Would probably visit again if they improve the caravaners shower facilities. There is only one shower in each of the toilet blocks adjacent to the caravan field, there is a newer toilet block at the bottom of the tent field but who wants to traipse across a dew ridden field in their jim jams? Shower water was cold on three separate mornings, although the site owners did try to investigate the cause. More importantly, the toilet block was not cleaned thoroughly ie. toilets wiped or floor washed during the entire week of our stay. With the exception of the toilets, the site was well maintained tidy and with nice flowerbeds. Also price per night is very reasonable altho' I personally would have paid a quid or two more to have had better showers.

August 2005 We spent 3 nights here. It was great, it did rain but the pitches were fine. The toilet block was very clean, showers nice and hot. We didn't go to the restaurant but it is very handy if you don't fancy cooking. Very good price would go back.

May 2005 Do come here!! A wonderful site, great area and the short walk to the loch for an evening drink )take a bottle and glasses) watching over the water is a treat. A few uneven pitches but don't let that spoil it. The owners are very friendly and have a great attitude towards people who stay here. Friendly and unfussy. I will return. Great site and super shower block.

August 2004 Summary, I don't think I will be there again; but this does not make it a bad site.
The campsite is well run, the welcome friendly, lovely walks in woods down to Loch Tay, relaxed with regard to dogs and the restaurant serves fantastic food.
However there are very few level pitches for tents. The ones on lower ground are liable to flooding. The ones on higher ground became impossible to reach as the ground became wetter. Due to the lack of level pitches you end up with tents packed together.

June 2004 Well run and peaceful site, very good value and showers are free! Always had hot water available.
Pitches aplenty although flat ones less so, ground very easy to pitch on and well drained.
Scenic location and ideal for the local Munros, Ben Lawers especially.
Not busy when we visited, but if it is then there may not be enough loos (for gents)!
On Site restaurant is well worth checking out. It serves good food and is nice and easy to get to, saves driving into Killin after a long day on the hills!
Highly Recommended.
