This is a truly wonderful campsite with individual plots well spaced apart, so it never feels crowded or to busy. The campsite is well hidden being on a small road that travels up off the A87 through Invergarry village, not far from Invergarry hotel.
The location is fantastic with great views, and especially no light pollution, at night we had one of the most stunning views of the night sky I’ve ever seen.
The facilities are very clean and tidy, and even with only two showers as there’s only 35 pitches we never had a problem.
The owners were really nice and helpful , and the price was great for such an excellent site.
There’s a petrol station and small shop in the village for basic supplies.
I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area climbing.

What a gem of a site this was. We stopped for 1 night but will certainly be going back. We were next to the bridge onto the Duck Pond, the views were fabulous. The toilets and showers were spotless. I did shower with the Housemartins! but they didn't seem to mind. We did manage to sit out in the afternoon but goodness me did the Midges bite, my poor husband was afraid to come out at night. Midges are a part of Scotland and they certainly don't put us off so we shall be looking forward to our next visit which will be a lot longer.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay here. Set in a valley surrounded by hills, it was lovely and peaceful. Even though the site was full there was plenty of space between the pitches so we never felt crowded. Each pitch had a picnic table but because of the midges we didn't get to use ours!
The toilet and shower block was clean but basic and although, there were only 2 showers we never had to queue.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Only downside was the steep trek up to the laundry and the freezer but the view at the top made up for that.
Ideal spot for touring and a lovely pub a few minutes drive away.

If you want a lovely wild type site this is the one for you, pitches are tiered so that you feel as if you are alone. Very basic loo and shower and the midges were a bit of a nuisance but the owner of the site was lovely and very helpful.
Lovely walking if you have dogs but as it's a farm they must be kept on a lead.
All in all a great place and hopefully we will get back there again one day.

Nice site very peaceful plenty of room between pitches and wonderful views. Basic but clean facilities. Some water taps take about 5.Mins to fill water carrier(feels like an hour when the midges attack!) Glad we were in a caravan as the midges were abundant to say the least and had a ferocious appetite.(They even like Avon skin so soft) Lovely walks on the site and just up the road on the left was the forest walk and river walk, really beautiful. Only one gripe the speed limit through the camp site was 30 mph. Just a little too fast and some people do exceed it so definitely keep your dogs on a lead. Good shops not too far away and within easy reach of plenty of places to visit with magnificent views on the way.
Would I go again? Yes without a doubt.

My husband, myself & our dog spent 5 nights in a tent at this lovely peaceful site at the end of June. We had one of the pitches higher up the hill & the view was breathtaking. We really liked the way that each pitch was individual with no one too close or in rows. The owners are very strict about noise & as it is adults only, this was the most tranquil site I have stayed at in a long time. The toilet & shower block was very basic at first look, no cosmetic frills, but the water was always very hot, the turbo hairdryer really did dry your hair & the 20 pence for the shower lasted ages. I only had to queue once for the shower so better than at home! There is a dog walk from the site & numerous walks nearby. We found it a good base for Fort Augustus, Loch Ness , Eilean Donan castle & even to go for a day to Skye. The drive from Invergarry to Kyle of Lochalsh is stunning.Pubs & shops were a short drive away. The only thing to spoil our stay were the midges. We used all recommended repellants, candles etc to no avail. Eating at the picnic tables provided became impossible & we were unable to sit out ( it didn't get dark till midnight) but we would definitely go back( out of midge season!)

I stayed here for a week with my husband in July. We liked the idea of a small adults only campsite and we were not disappointed. The pitches are dotted around the campsite marked by your own picnic table. They are spacious and you did not feel crowded. The campsite was nice and peaceful and had lovely surroundings, we loved having an evening meal and a glass of wine looking out at the hills. We travelled in July so it was light until about midnight and then light again about 3 hours later! wonderful. The toilet and shower blocks were basic but clean. Do not forget your 20p's for the shower, take a few in with you as sometimes the machine takes one before putting the shower on hot for you! One thing to watch out for if you go to this site in the summer is the midges.the campsite does have a pond near the shower block and washing up facilities and at night we were eaten alive by them. Make sure you take lots of avon so soft with you and other repelants! We would definitely visit this site again but may steer clear of the time when the Highland Midges are around!

This curious and delightful campsite is worth a visit. It is most unusual, if not unique, in its layout. Campers are distributed across a steep hillside along terraces. Each pitch has its own picnic bench. The whole site is interlaced by little paths wandering through wild by beautiful overgrowth. The toilets and showers are basic. Remember to take plenty of 20p coins. Other facilities include laundry and a fridge freezer. Ducks are also provided on a pond for entertainment. I would suggest that caravan and motor home owners park near to the entrance and walk up to reception at the top end of the site. The road is steep and may cause difficulties and in any case, caravans are located on the lower slopes.

We have just spent two wonderful relaxing weeks at Faichemard Farm. Mr & Mrs Grant have put a lot of thought into the layout of the site, your not crammed in on top of each other and you can come back to the site each day knowing that no-one is right next to you.
The facilities are excellent, toilet blocks with separate shower rooms, electric hook-ups and laundry area. This also an adult only site, so is ideal for a completely peaceful holiday. If you are a keen walker or dog owner there are many walks, long and short, from the site. We did several and the scenery on each one was fantastic. There is only one shop/garage within a mile of the site but its seems to have a good stock of general everyday items milk, marg, papers, bread etc.
There's plenty of sight seeing to do, at Fort Augustus, the numerous lochs, Skye, Neptunes Staircase, Fort William. There are many cafes and coffee shops along the way but try and take a picnic some days as we did because the picnic areas are very well maintained.
If you just want to laze about on the site all day it is very peaceful and tranquil. Just one teeny problem, beware of the midges ! take plenty of Avon skin so soft and jungle juice repellant and camomile lotion to stop the itching. Through the days not a problem they come out at night. That aside its still a fantastic place to visit, we will definitely be back next year.
Scotland seem to have catered for every need, the roads with passing places and the pathways on each forest walk are highly maintained and are a credit to the people who put time and effort into looking after them.

Not much to add to the previous reviewer's comments. I agree wholeheartedly with what he has said. We only spent one night there, and missed the bagpipes unfortunately! Just a couple of tips though;- 1. Read the instructions for registration carefully as you go in. The single track road climbs up to the top of the site, were the bungalow is. If you did as I did and just drive straight in, you look as though you are going to end up at a dead end. Do not worry though , as there is plenty of room to turn the caravan round -- mine is a 560 towed by a Discovery. 2. If you want to avoid the midges go before the end of May. If you are going later used Avon skin so soft -- it kills the midges and makes you beautiful!
