Faichemard Farm is a site I’ve been visiting for years. Wonderful Adult Only Site.
This Site is made up of small individual areas for each visitor in the main, which is gives you a completely different experience from a standard tent in a field. Very well laid out site, surrounding a small but beautiful pond, beware of midge! But this could be said about every site in Scotland during the summer period.
All facilities are clean and more than ample, wonderful but slightly expensive hotel 15 mins walk away. Not much else around within walking distance.
This should not distract you from this site, if you’re looking for peace and quiet. It is one of the best site's I've ever camped on.
Fantastic location for Glencoe, Fort William, Loch Ness etc

This site is truly peaceful and tranquil and set amongst some beautiful countryside with panoramic mountain views all round. The owners were very friendly and helpful on arrival and the site very clean and spacious. The only problem I found was that unless you were pitched near the duckpond (where the facilities were close) you had a long treck up and downhill to use the toilet/shower and a very long treck to the only waste disposal hut or the laundry/fridge facilities. Also having only 2 blocks with 1 toilet and shower in each I found after a long treck down from my pitch these were occupied on several occasions when I got there! I don't think I would return as I thought that although our pitch was very private, security could be a problem when leaving our chairs, water barrel etc. On pitch when going out as our pitch was totally on its own but very open to anyone passing on thier way to the laundry and other facilities.

Peace, privacy, beautiful views, no children, this is a fantastic site.
We were camping in our tent on one of the terraces which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves, it was like wild camping with awesome views but still the luxury of toilet/showers a short walk away.
The pub/hotel is quite a walk, a good 30 mins (for us at least, we're not walkers) and expensive, but nice food and beer.
Looking forward to returning next year.

Spent 3 nights at this site as part of a touring holiday of scotland. Was pitched next to the pond area which was fab! views are spectacular all round the site. Toilet block and shower was spotlessly clean, only one shower though and had to wait for 10 mins! other vans were pitched but due to spacious patches you didn't know you had neighbours! very quite and peaceful.
There is a nice little family of ducks that will come to your door for a cheeky slice of bread, lots of deer roaming the lane and a couple of pigs snuffled merrily in a nearby field so lots of wildlife to see!
The only down side to this fab little site is the industrial strength midges! there are thousands of them and had a bad swarm in the caravan on the first night. A plug in device was quickly purchased the next day which worked very well! suffered extensive bites which needed medical attention so be warned!
Well worth another visit at some point as long as we have midge control! excellent value for money too at £13,50 a night

We visited this site on a tour around the Highlands and it was our favourite of several visited. Immediately on arriving you are overcome with a sense of peace and tranquillity as the surrounding views and scenery work their magic. Pitches are far apart and give the impression that you're the only people there.
There didn't appear to be much in the surrounding area, a small shop, pub, but we were happy to enjoy the beauty of the site. In fact we loved it so much we extended our holiday so we could squeeze in another night here.

We visited Faichemard Farm twice on our recent tour of Scotland (one scheduled in advance, the other, not) and I think it’s fair to say that of the nine sites we stayed at, this was our favourite. We loved the way the pitches were dotted about, each one with its own picnic table. As a result, there was LOTS of room between pitches. We made use of the laundry; £2 for the washing machine token and 20p for the tumble drier for 15 mins. Although being up near reception it was a bit of a climb up the hill. (Still, we were here for the walking anyway!)
As previous reviews have mentioned, there’s not much in the way of shops nearby, although there is a general food shop a mile or two outside Invergarry at the well of the 7 heads. There’s a rather nice butcher further away at Fort Augustus where we bought two very nice haggises. Fort Augustus is a good place to see the locks along the Caledonian Canal where it goes into Loch Ness. We had a nice but pricey pub lunch at “The Bothy” whilst we were there.
Invergarry Hotel had a good range of food too, but we only popped in for a drink when coming to the end of a walk that we had done from the campsite. The best real ale place we found up to this point on our tour was the floating pub and restaurant at Laggan Locks, called The Eagle. The food was excellent too. You had to book and order your food a few days in advance so that they could be certain to buy the correct quantity of fresh fish each day. The result was worth it.
Back to the site; it really is as picturesque as in the photos, with the lake and Monet type bridge being particularly pretty. My wife had great fun painting that! The drawback to having the lake was, of course, the midges, which meant we couldn’t sit out comfortably at certain times of day. I would also agree with a previous reviewer who mentioned the waste water disposal, which was a little difficult due to the lifting involved. There could usefully have been a few more water points, but at £15 a night this was excellent value for money.
All in all then, a beautiful, very quiet site (no road noise!) and an excellent base for exploring the superb lochs and hills of the surrounding area. If we’re ever back in this area we would stay here again without a doubt.

Superb location with masses of space between units. Great views. Toilets and showers are clean with plenty of hot water.
Nearby Invergarry Hotel has great atmosphere and serves excellent food using mainly local produce.
Handy also for a trip into Fort Augustus and the impressive canal locks. The road around Loch Ness is much quieter on the eastern shore.

A lovely site with spacious pitches around a lake with lots of hungry ducks. The site is well signposted & in a lovely location with views around the valley - they even looked good in the rain. As there was rain & lake the midges were out in force in the evenings which didn't bother us but we could see the campers in their midgy nets. Don't forget to arrive with plenty of food as very few shops with anything other than basics.

Can't fault this site, beautiful location and nice people. Be sure to have supplies with you as no shops locally. TomTom took us to end of road. Only slight problem was disposal of grey water waste, this is difficult due to height of drain, otherwise fully recommend a stay here.

Can't speak highly enough of this site. Mrs. Grant was very friendly and welcoming. Pitches are unregimented, dotted about the large site, rather than in rows. The best layout of the six sites we visited, plenty of space. At £15 a night, great value.
Facilities all clean and tidy, showers, toilets, dishwashing, sanitary disposal etc.
Take your supplies with you, you will be well and truly in the countryside, peace and quiet in spades. The Invergarry Hotel is only a couple of miles away and serves excellent meals.
