This was our first visit to Scotland in our Motorhome and we choose Faichemard Farm, because of the reviews and the location being close to Loch Ness. All I can say is that this was the perfect campsite for peace and tranquillity, we could not have chosen a better place to stay. There was a toilet/shower block with 2 male and 2 female units and although the campsite was full it was never a problem using them - they were kept very clean. The stunning scenery surrounding the site was breathtaking, with beautiful walks within a stones throw. We did however have a little car that we used to travel around and explore in. The owners we extremely friendly and helpful. Only downside, nowhere close by for doing any real grocery shopping, apart from a local garage with limited stock, so make sure you take everything you need. All in all would definitely return again (and again!)

Well - you feel as if you have your own little plot of land in the Scottish highlands here. You have so much individual space.
Toilet blocks and showers superb - loads of room.
Really warm greeting by hostess.
Scenic views all around. The natural beauty is wonderful, but the effort put into making the campsite a pretty one shows. With the most magnificent duckpond and bridge, well mown and lush pitches, you each have more than enough space - plus your own picnic benches too.
Would highly recommend.
Not a sight of a midge.

This really does have to be the best site we have stayed at in winter time. Nearly all the pitchs are on a different elevation and you have absolutely plenty of room between pitches. If it wasn’t for the travelling distance (and midges in the summer) we would come here more often. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The views were fantastic; I can’t praise this site enough. Toilets were clean and modern. The only negative point was as someone else previously mentioned, the water pressure was on the low side so you needed to allow quite a few minutes to fill a 40 litre water container! – However, this gave you more time to appreciate the beautiful scenery. We will definitely go back to this site when we can overcome the thoughts of the agonising 10 hour drive!

A very nice incredibly quiet campsite. Quite basic and our pitch was a way from the toilet block, but overall very nice indeed. Not a campsite if you like to sit and talk into the night as the site warden told us off as we got him out of bed at about 10.30pm for being a bit too noisy!
Lots of room in the showers, and generally very nice indeed.
The only downside would be millions of midges which seem to be impervious to every known brand of repellent available!

What a gem! Lovely location, great for exploring, we did 600 miles+ and saw some amazing scenery. Two toilet blocks always very clean, lots of hot water, chemical disposal and fresh water points. Also laundry facilities and freezer up by the house. All pitches very well spread out allowing peace and privacy. Resident ducks and some pigs and piglets add to the back to nature feel about the place. Pub about 20 minutes walk away and Fort Augustus is best for local food shopping-the store has fresh French bread and a deli, also a butcher. Would highly recommend getting out and about if you can, we did the Applecross drive, well worth the hair-raising mountain pass, fresh seafood lunch at the Applecross Inn. Would go back for sure, wish we would could have stayed for longer!

A lovely campsite would recommend for those seeking peace and quiet. Lovely pitches in a spectacular setting! only £12 per night. Downside was that it is out the way but this does add to its charm. Nearest pub 2 miles away. Midge was a problem but remember it is Scotland and they are everywhere.

We stayed here for 3 nights last week. It was really easy to find, well signed posted from the main road but off the beaten track enough to keep it secluded, which suited us perfectly. Large area with small number of pitches all level with well cut grass and a picnic table each. Single toilet and shower block which was always clean with plenty of hot water and free to use. Also a small washing up area. At the reception there was a washing machine/dryer as well as a freezer, we didnt use them as only here for a few days but sure will be useful for others. Really nice to be an adult only site, very peaceful and fellow campers all friendly. Also a couple of dead cute little ducklings!
The area was quiet with good views and good access to all the main areas of the west coast as well as Loch Ness, Inverness and Aviemore. Good hotel about a miles walk down the road. Food was excellent and staff were friendly also has its own unique beer which was very good!
Fort William about 30 mins away by car with supermarket and other shopping and take aways etc.
Overall a great little site with everything you could want for a holiday without kids! 12 a night we thought was reasonable. Only one downside, I have 87 midge bites. So get some repellent before you go!

Great site only problem was 2 week holiday over all to soon. Best site I have been on in the 2 years we have been touring. Looking forward to going back next year. On the down side Fort Agustus is the closest shopping while you have to travel to Fort William for a Supermarket

If there was a site that I had to live on permanently then this would be the one. It's adult only so nice and quite. Situated on steep hillside overlooking Glen garry all the pitches are spacious and private and the views over the mountains are fantastic. Electric hook ups on most pitches and all seemed to have own table and seating.(by the way if you are using a tent the pitches for these looked excellent, plenty of space and close to facilities)
Fresh water supplies are handy and there's a nice little lake in centre of site. Plenty of hot water in loos, dish washing area and showers and whilst the buildings are basic they are all clean. Didn,t see any facilities for emptying chemical loos but we had only booked in as stop over on way to Skye so didn't need it. (We went out of our way to revisit on way back though and were sad to leave)
If you need entertaining then this site is probably not for you but if you travel to Scotland for peace, beauty and to be close to nature then you have found your niche.

This site is in a fantastic location. The pitches are set far enough apart that you don't get disturbed by anyone. We found the owners to be informative about where to walk the dogs but they were not at all friendly and almost made us feel guilty about using their site!. We spent 3 nights there in total. The toilet blocks are a bit of a trek from the more remote pitches but were kept clean and tidy.
Definitely will go back as the peace and quiet is deafening.
