Wow, really impressed with this site.

Easy to find along the A87 just outside Invergarry, Up a hill for about a mile and you've arrived. When you arrive at the site, reception is not by by the entrance, you drive to the top of the site, book in then come back down to your pitch which is well tended, hard standings for the caravans and motorhomes all with electric hook ups and a couple of grass pitches with electric for camper vans and tents.

The facilities are spot on, there is a block at the bottom of the site near to the pond, 2 male toilets with 2 sinks, 2 female toilets with 2 sinks, 2 showers and a covered dish washing area. There is also a fresh water tap and waste disposal facility. All spotless with plenty of hot water.

In addition there is also another block just about to be completed.

At the top of the site is a laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer and iron with ironing board. Free Wifi but very sketchy at the entrance (pitch 1).

There are some great walks nearby and the scenery is stunning, there are also a lot of great driving roads. The local village about 1. 5 miles has a pub/restaurant and a petrol station. No cash machine and both the pub and garage do not do cash back. Great food at the pub but a little pricey.

Very easy driving distances to Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye

Well worth a visit and we will be back. One word of warning, watch out for the midges during the summer months.

I thought this looked like a good 'stopover' site on the map but found it to be much more

What a lovely site, spacious, well kept with beautiful views in all directions

The toilet and shower block was dated but spotlessly clean and tidy

There was some building work going on which might have been another block being built ??

We didn't bother with TV as the sun was shining it was a pleasure to sit out and take in the views, the free WiFi was handy for a catchup with the real world

There was walks in all directions and loads of wildlife to see and the site is very pet friendly

A picnic table on each pitch is a handy touch

It would have been nice to fish the little lake but it was not allowed

The man that booked us in was nice and helpful

Being adults only the site and peaceful which is a bonus

And I will definitely go back again and would not hesitate to recommend this site wholeheartedly

We camped here for 5 nights in October. We managed to get a pitch booked just before the site closed for the winter, so it was lovely and quiet.

Situated about 20 miles north of Fort William, Faichemard farm is in a great location. We used it as a base to visit the Isles of Skye and Raasay as well as travelling to Oban (2hrs) to get the ferry over to the Isle of Mull. It's also not too far if you want to take a trip on the Jacobite steam train from Fort William, though sadly we didn't get time for this so will have to return!

There are some great walks nearby - a 3hr walk around the nearby loch is a good one to do as it's nice and level and covers a range of different landscapes. Across the nearby road there are a couple of Forestry Commission walks too.

The facilities at the site were kept spotless by the owners, and there was always plenty of hot water. We had the use of a nearby block that had 2 male and 2 female toilets, 2 showers, sinks and a washing-up sink. Though we didn't need it there were plenty of hook-up points too for both vans on hardstandings and campers on the grass.

Being an adults-only site there were no kids running round, and generally the place was nice and quiet. They don't allow cars on after 10pm either which is a big help.

Walking up the hill to reception and the laundry offers some magnificent views of the surrounding hills.

This is a very well-organised site, with lots of pitches that are thoughtfully laid out and not too close to each other. The free wifi on-site works well (though is border-line for some devices down near the entrance!).

There's not a lot nearby, but the Invergarry hotel is about a 2-mile walk and has a bar and restaurant. We didn't eat here, but the menu looked OK.

We stopped off for dinner one evening at the Letterfinlay lodge hotel which is about 7 miles south and had a very nice meal which wasn't overly-expensive.

The Thistlestop cafe on the way to Fort Augustus also looked like a good place to eat too.

The owners were both very friendly and helpful and the whole place was very well maintained - even right at the end of the season. We will definitely return.

Arrived 'on-spec', was allocated a beautiful huge pitch next to the pond. All the pitches are huge!

Owner was very helpful/polite. I was alone with my Halfords pop-up tent(now discontinued) and found pitching it and packing away easy, bit like playing 'Twister'!

The campsite is exactly as shown on their website. It was soooo relaxing and quiet, that you'd think the outside world had stopped!

Toilets/showers very clean, loads of hot water. Free WIFI too!

Views from campsite stunning!

It rained a little one day, but tent held up. The weather otherwise was amazing. I just can't wait to go back! Perfect chillout or stop over for Skye. Definitely recommended!

For me and a friend it was suppose to be a one night stop over which turned into a five night stay that really says it all.

It being the most peaceful and tranquil site either of us have stayed at.

The pitches are so big that after a three meter bell tent and a five meter Tentipi we still had nine meters of space between them and space to park our cars on the outside without encroaching on any other pitches.

The tents have the run of the grasses pitches with camper vans and caravans having the hard standing pitches which are dotted over the site.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and unobtrusive in carrying out their daily duties, so much so that the grass seems to stay the same without being cut.

The site is well maintained and cleverly planed, with pitches being clearly marked, toilets blocks are basic; but they are clean and warm. So they don't have the fancy mirrors or the gold plated taps, but do we really need these.

Due to it's peaceful nature there is plenty of bird life and butterflies to add and interesting foreground to the stunning views to the northwest.

In my humble opinion this is one of the best in Scotland and one site that I will keep coming back too.

This was our first visit to this site in our new tent, all we knew was it was adults only and dog friendly which suited us fine.

When we got there we were pleasantly surprised with the spectacular views and peacefulness of the area.

The pitches are well spaced and you have your own picnic table. We were close to the toilet and shower area which was a bonus particularly at night, and when the midges are out!

The toilet and shower area was cleaned everyday when we were there which was great.

The owners are lovely and very helpful we have booked up to go back in August amazing!

A very pleasant adults only site, with a warm welcome, splendid views from its peaceful and out of the way location. It is, however, unusual in that the pitches are at various levels on a hillside and round a pond. Our hard pitch with EHU was reasonably level and certainly spacious, with its own picnic table.

For some it can be quite a trek down and up hill for the facilities, but no problem in the good weather we enjoyed. When we were there (just one night) the toilet / shower blocks (there are 2) were sufficient but we doubt that the solitary male / female shared shower in one of the blocks would be adequate if the site was busier. The facilities were, however, good and clean.

For TV fans the owner provides their own analogue relay giving a good picture.

The site offers good value and we would certainly recommend it and stay there again.

A wonderful, peaceful site with spectacular views of the surrounding hills which were snow covered.

No midges but lovely wildlife, deers and buzzards. Facilities nice and clean but in high season would have been inadequate.

Pitch was a good size with our own picnic table and friendly ducks. Excellent dog walk.

Grey waste point was too high and it was almost impossible to lift container high enough. Would go again if I was back in that area

We stayed here for 9 nights end August beginning September. The site is very well kept, very peaceful and lots of space between the pitches. (hardstanding) There is a duck pond with loads of fish and very well fed ducks.

There is a ladies and gents loos and 2 showers with copious amount of hot water, all kept very clean, The owners are very friendly and the views are spectacular and the surrounding area is a delight.

There is the Invergarry Hotel nearby which serves nice meals, a Mace shop a couple of miles from the site, they sell everything a petrol station about 1 mile away and the Invergarry Castle Hotel about 1. 5 miles away that does wonderful afternoon teas.

It is one of those places where you just go wow every time you go around a corner. Its 7 miles from Loch ness. Well worth the money. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here for one night only as we were on route to the Isle of Sky and the outer Hebrides so the location suited us. I agree with previous reviews - beautiful surroundings, so peaceful, but those midges.

The owner was very helpful and as we were in no hurry to pack up the next day, he told us to leave whenever we wanted as he was not fully booked.

We met two charming couples who had travelled all the way from Essex in their motorhomes and vowed they'd be back.

But remember - it's adults only.
