Cotswold Farm Park: What can one say about it except that it's the Farm that him off the TV Countryfile programme runs
Young children will love it; older children may need more to entertain them although there is much to be learnt here.
The site is beautifully situated. There are some wonderful walks and dogs are also catered for with their own dog walk. It still does not stop dog owners from letting their dogs foul the camping site though.
Two Lavs for the women and two the men were not sufficient to cope with the number of campers when I was there. The lavs ran out of paper which is only to be expected.
There is a shop on site but I did not use it so cannot comment. There is also a Gift shop with the usual tat.
The amount of waste bins provided were inadequate. 2 rubbish bins and 2 recycling bins are not enough for the number of people using the site.
Black waste disposal was up a slight slope. The path was neatly laid with gravel. No problems there with waste disposal unless you have a European or American Motorhome fitted with bulk tanks. When I asked at the Reception desk I was told by somebody that they had never heard of such a thing as bulk tanks.
Would I go there again? Yes; but only as long as I was attending a Rally at Rally rates.

This is very well located site in the Cotswolds. The pitches are an extremely good size and on nice level ground. There are some ehu pitches but cant comment as we didn't use it. The farm park next to site is a fantastic day out with lots of hands on experience for the children - mine got to hold chicks, ducklings and rabbits and got to bottle feed lambs, it is very reasonably priced and you can return as many times as you like while you are camping.
The down side of this site is that while we were visiting they seemed to have problems with their water pressure so the showers were a bit hit and miss and unfortunately more miss during our stay, they also had to close the loos at one point due to water problems and although the shower / toilet block is pleasant and clean enough I think that perhaps 2 toilets and showers (per sex ) isnt quite enough for the 40 pitch site.
The staff at the site are extremely helpful and even hand delivered some fresh eggs to our tents one day. There is a cafe attached to the farm that looked very nice but we only used it for take away teas, they will also freeze your ice packs here at no charge. I was however very surprised that they didn't sell any milk in the shop seeing as the closest shop is 5 miles away !
All in all its a nice site in a beautiful area - we visited the nearby bourton-on-the water which is highly recommended for a day trip. I would certainly return here but would hope they have sorted their water works out!

We stayed here for 3 very wet and windy days towards the end of August and had a brilliant time! Site basic, but flat with very large pitches. Electric hook-up available but we didn't use it so can't comment on that. The toilet and shower block was basic but clean and we rarely had to queue.
There are lovely countryside views from the site and walks straight from the end of the field. Be warned that the site is very exposed to the elements - one morning we were breakfasting in our friends' tent when the friendly site owner tapped on the door to let us know the front of our tent was just about to take off (we were using a rather unsuitable Quechua tent though!).
Despite the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily go back, although I'd request a pitch around the edge of the field rather than in the middle, as that might provide more shelter.
The main reason for staying was to visit the adjoining farm park and it's great value that once you have purchased your tickets you can use them every day for the duration of your stay. We easily filled 2 full days in the park: feeding and holding animals (many babies); watching farming displays; playing in the indoor and outdoor play areas; bouncing on the bouncy pillow; taking the farm tractor ride around the fields; lunching in the cafe.
All in all a great site in a great location which we'll probably return to again.

Easy place to find. Followed the brown signs.
Very generous sized level pitches. Didn't feel too close to your neighbours like some campsites can feel.
Very basic facilities, but adequate for our needs. Electric, water, disposal waste drains & very clean showers & toilets. (Undercover washing up area for people staying in tents)
The 1st 2 days we were there, our porch awning struggled in the strong winds, but the field is very open to the elements.
Our 11 year old son enjoyed the little wood behind the site, and we all enjoyed the farm which once you have purchased your tickets, can visit as many times as you like whilst staying there.
The site is perfectly centrally located for the usual tourist hot spots like Bourton on the water, Stow on the Wold & even towns like Tewkesbury & Stratford upon Avon are under an hours drive away.
Would definitely visit again, as found the site very peaceful, with the only sounds of farm animals to wake you in the morning, and the one set price was more than reasonable.

Large pitches with good space between them. The electric points are shared so you might need a long lead! When site is busy so are the showers (only 2 each for male & female) and only 2 sinks for washing up. Clean and tidy though. Showers can be temperamental (v low pressure sometimes). Can be a bit windy due to location on top of the hills - windbreak needed. Nice 'one price' system so you don't have to work out all the extras.
Excellent location for kids as ours played in the wood behind the site when they weren't in the farm - well worth the entry fee for the week. Also has a great cafe with good selection.
Local Tesco 10 minutes drive. Bourton is a tourist trap (although quite pretty). Roman Villa at Chedworth is a nice visit (quite towards the end of the day).

We really liked this site, it was easy to get to, even the 'B' roads were wide and easy to use - don't follow the sat nav though, use the brown signs.
We had pitch 6 with EHU but we were only 1 of 3 caravans on site, everyone else were in large tents. The kids loved the miniature forest behind the caravan and spent many happy hours in the evening building dens and running about.
The new toilet block is clean and quite nice, there was a problem with the hot water pressure while we were there but they were quick to get the plumber in. My only complaint would be that two toilets isn't really enough for a 30 pitch site with predominantly tents on it.
All in all a great site, very reasonably priced especially if you have a few children and dogs with you as the pricing is per pitch with no added extras.

On arrival we thought we had made a mistake by booking this site which seemed very much for families visiting the rare breeds farm adjacent to the site. OH and I bought a ticket on arrival which gives you access to the farm as many times as you like during your visit. We had a really good time. Lovely walks from the site and we did the usual tour of the Cotswold villages nearby. The facilities on site were ok but not fantastic. They are in a porta cabin and although they were cleaned daily, they appeared a little tired. The rare breed farm is fantastic and it is worth staying on site just to be able to take a walk round the park to see the animals. We would go each day for an hour before they closed, it was superb. The staff are very friendly but once the farm closes at 5pm you are left to it. They do leave contact number up on the board for local doctor and police etc but there is no warden on site.
Overall it was a good holiday but I would only go back to see the rare breeds not because the campsite was so good.

This is a lovely site. The views are amazing across to the Lighthouse and the surrounding countryside excellent. There are also shops a short distance away in Flamborough with the resorts of Filey and Bridlington close by with all their shops and of course the beautiful sandy beaches.
The site owner is outstandingly helpful and cheerful, and included the children by letting them feed the sheep and pet the donkeys (of which there are quite a number an elderly one and a few foals).
The toilet was kept very clean and well stocked with essentials, there was also plenty of hot water.
Altogether a wonderful site and we aim to go back.

Spent a glorious couple of days on this fantastic friendly site. Great spacious flat pitches, clean toilets and shower block.
We had pitches 1 & 2 with EHU, but please note that it's pitch 3 that supplies the electric to these and you need to borrow an extension from the site to reach pitch 1.
There is no children's play area on the campsite, but most seemed to have fun building dens and playing in the small wooded area behind the first row of pitches.
There is a rally field at the rear which was host to a vintage car and bike rally while we were there, the kids loved seeing all the old motors trundle up and down the field.
The park cafe serves breakfast for an hour in the morning and will be happy to make up takeaway meals for lunch if you want to take it back to the tent.
If you are coming with a young family then the Farm Park is a must, children and adults alike get to handle and feed some of the animals an even get in with piglets to give them a bit of fuss! There are also various displays at different times of the day.
There are no shops locally, but there is a Tesco in Stow on the Wold and a Co-op in Bourton in the Water, both around 6 miles away.
A great site in a great location to explore the Cotswolds, definitely one to visit again!

We've just returned from our second stay here and it was even better than last time.
The new toilet and shower block are excellent and the entrance has been gravelled so the only two small gripes we had last year have been rectified!
As usual, all the staff were helpful and lovely. We couldn't ask for more and will be returning later this year!
