Me and 5 others stayed here last year. Had a nice time, we were right up the top of the site near footpath for dog walkers that backed onto a big field. Reasonably priced, facilities where clean. Didnt see alot of the owners, we only went for one night but while we were there we had a lovely stay. Nice site and surrounding area, we went to Horsey Gap beach for a nice walk, and we went to Gt Yarmouth had a walk around and a shop.

We were attracted to this site by the reviewer's comments about the large pitches but we were disappointed on a number of fronts. Firstly our pitch was shown to us and it was indeed spacious. We parked on the edge so that we had a clear space in front but on our return after a day's cycling, we found two tents, separated but linked by windbreaks, 'shoe-horned' in next to us. To our astonishment, these contained 3 ladies and 9 dogs! Obviously the space in front of our pitch became their walkway so we were non too pleased. Our pitch was about 15 feet from a field of wheat (which was not adequately fenced) and a huge combine harvester which we had seen in an adjoining field moved in to deal with the whole field one night well and worked into the late evening. It was terrifyingly close to our unit at times! Fortunately the wind was taking the dust/chaff away from our unit but that didn't stop me from contracting a severe sore throat which lasted all week. Frankly, we might have stayed longer than the 3 nights we booked as it was a great place to use as a cycling base but the nearby tent/dogs as well as the over-used waste emptying facilities persuaded us to move on. The showers/toilets were clean early in the morning when I used them although as there were lots of users on the site, they were under pressure somewhat.

My impressions of this site are it is great if you are a gang of lads wanting to make loads of noise, not good if you wish to have a relaxing quiet time as we did. We have just returned from this site after only spending a few hours there. This is a very small site and at the time of our visit the owners had rented most of the pitches to a gang of 18 year old lads (around 20 of them). I am sure this is a nice quite site but the fact the owners would rent all their pitches to a large gang of teenagers would definitely put us off returning as we prefer quieter sites where they do not allow big groups. The toilet block we felt was a fair way from the pitches if you camp with not many cubciles, there was building work going on in the toilet block and we couldnt see anywhere to wash up as the sink was out of order.
Saying that the area where pitches are does seem nice and the owners were very friendly also this is a very cheap tariff compared to others. The dog walk area is nice and quiet with boats, but I think you would need to drive to get to the beach. There is a local pub but we drove to find shops in Sea Palling

I almost don't want to log this review, don't want too many to know of the site! But Jerry and his lovely assistants deserve praise! Approached via a long drive, the site is beautifully set out and currently under review. Pitch was huge! equivalent to about 4 pitches anywhere else.seriously.ask for the pitch behind the garage under the tree! No one bothered you, but they were there if you needed them. Ideal location to explore, go half a mile along the road (out of drive and left) follow NT signs.mind your car, we only drove it as we have a landi defender.v bumpy, may prefer the 1/4 mile walk from road turn off? amazing gap in sea wall, we watched seals for hours.on a misty day, bathe on sunny one. 2 showers, 3 loos, beautifully clean, ages for cost, 4 of us showered for £1! Dont miss this one. A real gem. Shame we are so far AWAY or this would be our weekend retreat.wooh forgot to say hookup inc in price

Jerry showed us to our pitch on arrival, which was huge with electric hook up and a water point between 2 vans. The field was immaculate and could easily hold more than the 6 homes it was set up to cater for. The second field had approx 15 tents on it, which put a strain on the 2 showers (£1 for 13 mins of tepid water) and three toilets. Sea Palling was 3 miles away £6 in a cab or about an hours walk via road and beach. This contained the basic shops and an excellent pub. The beautiful beach was also reached via road and field which is a shame as directly behind the farm is the sea but due to the field not belonging to Walnut it could not be crossed. Due to disatnce and showers I would mark the site 6 out of 10

Very friendly upon arrival, and throughout our stay, toilets and grounds excellently maintained. Very nice beach only minutes away, as too are shops and a Tesco supermarket less than a ten minute drive away. Overall a very nice secluded farm, and the only downside was a lack of room for the kids to play. Thank you and look forward to visiting again.

I made my first visit to 'Walnut Farm' in Norfolk recently and it really is a lovely peaceful site. Situated between beautiful sandy beaches and the Norfolk Broads, it is ideal for countryside walking or cycling, bird watching (the Marsh Harriers perform aerobatic displays above the camping field!), fishing, visiting the lovely broadland and coastal towns & villages, or. Just lazing around, in the peace & quiet of the Norfolk countryside. Should you need a bit of excitement, Gt. Yarmouth is only 12 miles away. A nice drive through the centre of 'the Broads' will take you to Norwich, where the historic city centre has lots to interest everyone.
The site is situated on a working farm, but that never seemed to intrude on the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. The family who run the site are very nice and friendly and are more than happy to help, should you have a problem. The camping field is grassy and flat (well it is Norfolk!) and the pitches are very large. You have a lovely view across the fields and marshes towards Horsey Mere. Close by, are the dunes & beaches at Horsey, Waxham and Sea Palling, some of which are 'nature reserves' and are totally unspoilt.
So, if you like peace & quiet in beautiful surroundings, then Walnut Farm could be just what you're looking for and the 'site fees' are very reasonable too!. I loved it and I'm sure you will too.
