My Daughter and friend had a warm welcome on arrival. Jerry lead us to our pitch which was along a nice tall hedge.
Toilet and shower block clean and tidy, also had washing up facility in the same block under cover from the rain ! Site is flat well drained with lovely views of the surrounding fields and dunes.
We had a Nice walk to the beach in the evening once the rain relented. Beautiful sunset and our bonus for walking the mile and a half to the beach was to find a seal swimming around enjoying itself !
Will be returning soon

Just returned from a weeks holiday at walnut farm with my wife and son and lively boxer dog,
Excellent site, very quiet, facilities are clean and adequate. Owner very helpful and friendly
Dog walk has to be seen to be believed 1. 5 miles long
Would definitely use this site again, had a great week,
Close to beach for fishing, didn't catch though too many seals.
Supermarket about 4 miles, small local shop about 1. 5 miles, nearby stalham has a good selection of takeaways

We've just had a really lovely three days here. We're keen wildlife-watchers and the owners were very helpful as to where best to pitch, local walks etc. We had a friendly welcome, a check that all was well - and then left to it, just what we like - neither to be ignored nor fussed round every few hours! Quiet is requested after 9 & was observed. Bliss!
The toilet block was immaculately clean (there were several caravans though only one other tent). If I have to find anything at all negative it's that something other than a cloth towel for hand drying would be better/safer eg hand dryer/paper towel/machine cloth roller towel.
The 'dog walk' is well worth doing whether or not you have a hound! There are other good walks - two to the beach: 1) Go out of the dog walk from the tent field as far as the road, turn right & after a bit you'll see a track on your right marked 'beach'. 2)Go out of the dog walk from the caravan field as far as the road, turn left & after a bit you'll see a track on your left marked 'beach'. Loads of seals when we went - you need to look out to sea at first but if it's quiet they come towards the shore. There's another nice walk from Horsey Mill - ask at the Mill shop. Also a lovely wildlife-watching boat trip from Horsey.
Go to 'The Nelson's Head' at Horsey even if you just want a pint. Well worth it, lovely quiet pub with a large field as 'beer garden' full of birds! If you need a shop there's one at Sea Palling, a short drive towards Cromer.
Will we be back - you betcha!

I had a spare night at short notice and decided to take a punt at an unknown (to me) campsite on the Norfolk coast to use as a base for walking.
The Caravan Club site was nice and quiet, well laid out and very presentable. Several regular users of the site came along to say hello, so a friendly, open atmosphere seems to be encouraged.
Showers were £1 a pop. They were clean and spacious, but I think there are only 3 so expect to line up if you visit in peak time. Site fee was £12 a night so for little old me with a 2 man tent, I'd say £1 a shower was a little much, but then again, I'd rather pay for a clean block. It depends how you look at it.
When I stayed it was blazing sunshine, and the area looked stunning, with lovely walks available along the coast. Be aware though that you cannot access the beach from the site itself. Instead, you have to walk a couple of miles along a busy-ish road. This is quite a flaw, and If I could change anything, it would be to create easier access from the site to the beach. Apparently the local farmer doesn't want people walking across his fields understandably. Maybe one day this will be rectified. If so, I would add a point to the score as it was my main reason for staying. (being close to the coast).
The owners have created a 1. 5 mile dog walk which is great. (if you have a Dog). I walked along it myself. Hopefully no-one thought I was 'barking' mad or anything.
Summary:
Would have been great to be able to access the Beach from the site, but I guess the walk did me good.
Overall 8/10 if you like a quiet stay somewhere off the beaten track.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing weekend at this site. It is very peaceful and quiet, although we were the only tent in the camping field. Facilities very clean, £1 for 13 minutes hot shower. Indoor washing up area very useful. Owners very helpful on arrival.
The walk to the beach is about 1.5 miles, which as others have said is frustrating as you can see the dunes so close from the site. The walk is well worth it however, with miles of sandy beach and lots of wildlife including seals basking on the sand.
We had a lovely lunch in The Nelson Head pub in nearby Horsey, about a 20-30 minute walk from the site.

Great site, clean tidy with extremely helpful owners will definitely go back Plenty of good walks and the beach is only a short walk (2.5 miles) when we return will take our bikes as it is very flat.
Showers and toilets were very clean and £1.00 for showers gave a good long time although we did not use the showers.
Very quiet and easy to find. All in all good value for money and well worth a visit

Our first trip out in our newly acquired m/h. This is a lovely site, the owner was friendly and we were pleased to be pitched on the farmyard rather than on the grass following the very heavy rain we had. As has been said before, the facilities are good, three bathrooms and an extra toilet and three dishwashing sinks. Didn't use the showers but they looked very clean. The walk to the beach is a good 30 minutes; you are asked not to cut across the fields behind the farm since the land does not belong to the farmer. Shame really, the dunes are just a long stone's throw away from the site. Also the walk to the beach is along the road which was quiet on Saturday but in the summer is rather more busy. Best bet is to drive and park up somewhere if you want to see the sea. Parking at Waxham Gap is £3 for a car and £6 for larger vehicles but no toilet facilities. The dog walk was well 'groomed' and had we stayed longer we would have done the whole circuit rather than just the bit nearest the farm. Very nice.

A wonderful site located right near sea and dunes (though there is no access directly from campsite). The owner was very helpful when we arrived and as a night of bad weather was forecast he allocated us a a sheltered plot near trees.
The facilities were always kept clean and tidy, and included an indoor area for dish washing.
In terms of local area it is an ideal base for sight seeing, we walked the mile or so to access the seashore and also cycled local area as campsite gives ready access to the Broads.

A quiet and relaxing sheltered site. A warm welcome from the owners on arrival. Very clean and ample facilities. Good pitch sizes with or without hook up. Close to the long beautiful sandy beaches. A visit to the beach is must to see the locals seals.
Plenty to do in the surrounding areas, a good base for touring The broads. There is a local store close by for supplies or a Tesco a bit further away. We stayed for one night but would definitely stay for longer next time.

Have just returned from spending 2 weeks on this site and I must congratulate the owners for providing a brilliant stay here.
This was a most relaxing, enjoyable stay, could not do enough for you. Location of this site is just perfect for a quiet holiday, yet is close to the beaches and surrounding area. Within 10mins walk you are on some of the loveliest parts of the north Norfolk coast, with seals, wildlife and sand.Safe for children and dogs etc.
Within a short drive 10mins you have a shop at sea Oalling and further on at Stalham a tesco's.
The broads are within easy reach, Roys at Wroxham and Lathams at potter Heigham are two for ladies delights.
The site itself is well laid out with toilets/shower facilities which are always kept spotless, hot water for showers are on a £1 meter, but you do get 13mins,which is ample.
Will definitely be back to here next Easter or sooner if able, very good value for money.
