This is the second time we have used this site. Last year we were here with our tent but have since splashed out on the caravan. This is one of those little gems of a site that I came across by accident having stayed at a site in Sea Palling for many years. When we arrived this time the owners were out but left a note and marked our pitch for us which was very welcome as it was raining at the time. This season has seen work carried out in the showers and toilets, the floors within the family shower rooms and single toilet have been re-tiled with non-slip tiles, the shower curtains have been replaced by some very smart doors and I believe the shower units have been replaced as well making the shower experience more inviting. For those who are keen to do their bit for recycling the site owners assist the local council by asking you to separate items into a single bin.
What's nearby? Horsey Mill (NT), Waxham Barn (a huge restored barn) The poor village of Happisburgh that has seen its frontage fall into the North Sea and Sea Palling for huge sandy beaches, windsurfing and jet skiing
Would we visit this site again. Most definitely!

Friendly, helpful owners.
Camping field was clean, level and well maintained, but the ground is peg-bendingly hard.
Dishwashing/Washing/Toilet block was always clean in spite of the site being quite busy.
Plenty of space in the shower rooms.
Fishing is in the New Cut on the opposite side of the road to the site, about a 1/2 mile walk. Plenty of small roach and rudd to be caught.
My only negative would be that I find that a price of £14pn for a pitch plus water and toilet facilities a tad high, especially since showers are a £1 a time extra! However since the site is fully booked during the summer I guess I must be getting mean in my old age.
On the plus side, your £1 shower actually buys you a unit of electricity, so check to see how many units are on the meter before investing your £1 ;)

Lovely little site. Great for long weekends near fantastic beach, lots of walks etc. No play area for kids though, so need to take plenty of things for them. Toilets and showers were clean at all times although I agree that a hand towel is not the best idea, but they were changed regularly. We were situated right next to a field which had fabulous views but brought with it quite a few insects. Other parts of the site did not appear to be affected. It is a working farm so children need to know where they can go but was very well sign posted. No shop so you will need to bring everything with you, but there is a Tesco at Stalham which is about 5 miles away as well as closer little shops, but you will need a car. Will be going back.

Very much enjoyed our time at this campsite.
There was a nice hard standing area for the caravans, separate to the camping field for tents. Plenty of room between pitches and the field was big enough to get away from everyone else.
Water tap was easily accessible.
The toilets were huge and clean, despite the spiders but then the site is on a working farm! There were several showers and toilets all self contained with sinks inside, as well as a public sink area.Very good for families as no-one has to split up to go to different buildings. The toilet and shower block is a short walk, but you will need proper shoes to walk to it as the gravel is a bit difficult to walk on.
The campsite has a nice little walk to follow around as well as mid height hedging to shelter you from the weather. The large trees along the one side also help with that too.
I would recommend this for families - camping wise - but not for small children due to the gravel.

We hired a tourer to extend our season and took it to Walnut Farm. Great little site with a friendly welcome. Very good value for money. The toilets and showers were ample but a bit dated although clean and well kept. I would ditto the comment about hand towels, they harbour germs and when damp are just grim! Very level site and our site was sheltered. Would be more than happy to return in the future.

Recently had a mostly dry and enjoyable trip to Norfolk. Stayed at Walnut Farm. The camping field is flat and is fairly well sheltered with trees at one side and hedge at the other.
When we were there it was almost full but we only had to wait once for a shower, which I thought was pretty good as there are only 3 shower rooms complete with toilets and basins. Not overly impressed by the cleanliness; usually wet floor where the shower curtains hadn't been tucked in correctly, hair in the plug holes and gunk around the taps.
A quiet site with no noise after 9.30pm or so. Local village about 2-3 miles away with shop for basics. Stalham (15mins) has a main supermarket and petrol station.
Lots to do in the area boating, canoeing, cycling, walking and sitting on the beach. We also went to hang around in the trees with Extreme near Swaffham great 1000ft zip wire - good fun.

Lovely clean, well presented sheltered site. Came for a few days and will be back soon. Ideal as a base for touring Norfolk. Waxham Sands (next door) has a chip van which is excellent. Owners friendly and helpful, dog made welcome. Recommended to all.

We visited this site over the spring bank holiday.
We sadly had very windy weather conditions and a fair amount of rain. We did find the site very windy with little shelter from the wind.
The site is basic with 3 bathrooms where there is a shower, toilet and wash basin. These bathrooms come off a central room where there are 4 sinks for washing up. There is also another seperate toilet and wash basin.
The facilites weren't that clean during our stay and I hate seeing hand towels in toilets I find it revolting and much prefer a dryer or paper towels. Showers cost £1 for about 13 minutes which was ample time for 2 showers if your willing to share.
Pitch's were allocated but we had plenty of room for our monty 6 and large car.
We were right by the dog walk as requested which is fabulous the best dog walk I have ever been on at a campsite. It is about 1.5 miles long and follows the farms fields where they have made a walk way. It meant the dogs could go off the lead with no worries about fellow campers a real treat.
It is a quiet site with little or no noise at night during our stay. There were some children but they were all well behaved and quiet.
There appeared to be seperate areas for caravans/motorhomes and tents which was nice.
The countryside is beautiful with some lovely pubs nearby and nice villages. The nearest shops seemed to be a few miles up the road in Martham.
We will come here again as we visit Norfolk to see family, it is a nice quiet site with a helpful owner Jerry. It is also a bargain price which is always recommended.

Peaceful site, plenty of space and very quiet. Briefly heard the combine on first evening, as mentioned below, but not too much of a problem, although at harvest time this may be another matter!
Owners friendly and their dogs lovely!
Toilets and showers clean at all times of day. Only gripe I have is that while there are 4 toilets, 3 of them are in the shower rooms, so if you only need the toilet and you are waiting for a free one, you might need to wait. Also, while the shower was lovely and hot, 13 minutes is a long time to have a shower - again, I found myself waiting for ages because obviously everyone wants to get their pound's worth!
But a relaxing weekend, although thank goodness we had a car!

Friendly site in a great location and at a good price. Was pretty quiet and peaceful (despite being busy) on our visit - which made it a very restful place for a couple of nights on a cycling holiday. Did experience an early passing of the combine harvesters (as mentioned below) one morning though - which was a bit of an early wake up call!
Toilets/wash facilities clean and well managed. Friendly and helpful owners. Well placed for Waxham beaches, Horsey Mere and Hickling Broad - all well worth visiting for nature lovers. Also recommend the generous portions of cake at the nearby Poppylands cafe.
Overall, this is a quieter and more secluded (and more pleasant for me!)site than the nearby Waxham Sands, although unfotunately it lacks the direct access to the beach. However - it was rumoured this might be changing - any update on this would be good!
