An excellent quiet site with good facilities. The ground was level and nicely landscaped. There was a very helpful person in the information/booking office on site.
The site is within walking distance to walks to the beach. We had bikes and cycled into Sea Palling which was a very pleasant seaside village. We cycled through the village and passed delightful seaside cottages alongside country lanes.
We would thoroughly recommend this site for the facilities and ideal location. Ideal for walking or cycling.

Just retuned from an excellent week at walnut farm. Nice friendly greeting upon arrival, we were quickly shown to our spacious pitch.
Site is well maintained, toilets and showers were always clean and tidy, we liked the privacy of having toilet, washbasin & shower all within the same room.
The dog walk is a long walk around the perimeter of the farm great for the dog to have a good run rather than a small penned area we have had on other sites.
If we were to visit the area again we would definitely return to the site.

We stayed at Walnut farm in the May half term. We arrived in the middle of storm warnings and wondered how we would get on! there had already been floods in Wales but we decided to brave it.
When we arrived it was early evening, we went to the reception area and were met by the guy who owns the site, he was really helpful and before we mentioned the storms he said he'd put us in a sheltered spot!
The pitch was lovely with an area for BBQ (not all the pitches had this option). The site is nicely laid out so you feel a bit of privacy. There is a little walk to the toilets which at night can be a bit tricky although there are lights that come on as you walk past.
The toilet/shower area was old but nice and fairly well kept, the kitchen area I was very impressed with, it had 4 sinks with draining boards and washing up liquid which was really handy.
The campsite itself is quite isolated so you have to drive to get anywhere but this made it quite a quiet site which is what we like. There was a walking area for dogs.
We survived the first night through gale force winds and after that the sun came out and we had a lovely few days.
Overall it was a lovely site and I can recommend it.

Yet another stay at Walnut Farm stayed for one week over easter. Pitched on a well maintained caravan field. Sheltered from the winds but with good views.
Owners are friendly and helpful. Shower facilities are three speperate rooms with Shower cubical toilet and sink, one separate toilet. Have to pay for electric to run power showers but considering the reasonable nightly cost for a pitch is not to much to ask. Washup facilities indoors with free hot water. Nearist supermarket a 10 min drive into Stalham. Fantastic dog walk. Looking forward to going back again in August. Lovely quite farm site.

This was our first trip away with our newly purchased tent. Walnut farm was lovely- well kept site with clean facilities. The owners were helpful and welcoming. For your canine friends there's a nice dog walk around the adjacent field. Location is good for the coast- starfish in abundance at low water at Sea Palling. Further along the coast is overstrand where there's a lovely beach and we had a really good lunch in the pub there.
Walnut Farm gives Great value for money in comparison to some other sites. Would definitely go back.

We spent Christmas here in 2009 and enjoyed it so much that we decided to spend Christmas and New year here again. This time it was a lot busier so not quite as peaceful as other vans (with dogs) quite close, but you cant let barking dogs spoil your Christmas (as everyone seems to have them!) The weather was very, very windy but again what did we expect in December! The facilities were the same as 2 years before, so although a bit dated they were very clean and very spacious. The water was always lovely and hot and bathrooms frequently cleaned. The owners are very friendly and helpful and were always contactable by phone, even though it was Christmas! We know the area well but still enjoyed lovely long walks, especially along the beach where the Seal pups were in abundance this year and lovely to see again. There is a shop at Sea Palling which stocks most things and ofcourse Great Yarmouth, Skegness etc. Are all worht a visit. Site facilities are all close to pitches and area is very peaceful. There is also a lovely long, private dog/nature walk. All in all a lovely place to stay in a lovely part of Norfolk!

An excellent site that caters for all types of units in a professional and friendly manner. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners.
The walk around the farm is worth doing even if you don't have a dog - we picked loads of blackberries as we went round.
There were problems after a day of torrential rain, whereby the grass field started to churn up under car tyres. However after 1 dry day, good drainage meant that you would never know there had been a problem.
Facilities as mentioned are great. As a family of 4, it makes it so easy by having 3 shower areas big enough for us all to get in.
We decided to return to Norfolk as we had hardly touched any of the activities that we wanted to do last year and there is so much to see and do.
Well, we're now booked in to this site this summer so that's the best praise that anyone can give.
If there was a washing machine on site, then this would be the perfect campsite.

We stayed at Walnut farm for 3 nights. The owners were so friendly and helpful. It was a very busy site but very very family friendly. I never had to queue for the shower and the neighbouring tents were very friendly.
It was a very central location and made it easy to visit many attractions.
The office had lots of leaflets on local attractions and the owner also gave personal recommendations.
I was a little wary of camping as we had a 6 month old and 2 year old with us but it couldn't have been nicer. Well recommended.

We stayed for 8 nights on this site. Lovely friendly owners who even came to see us off and asked when we left if we had had a good time. A lovely site but it was full so the facilities struggled a little.
There are 3 lovely big shower rooms with a toilet in each and 1 separate toilet which at a busy time, which is was when we stayed, was a lot of queuing. Washing up facilities are good being inside and lashings of hot water.
All a bit dated but very, very clean. I saw the owner at 10:30 one night doing a final night clean. The problems we encountered were not anything the owners could do anything about.
Lots of children with little to do playing together nicely until one girl decided to use my car as a way to climb a tree!
Be aware it is a windy site apparently according to my scientist husband due to the combination of sun & sea!
We couldn't get into the Nelson pub mentioned by another reviewer as it was full so went to Poppylands just up the road from the site which seems to be a teas shop. It's so much more we had one of the best cooked meals we have ever had there. They do a Sunday carvery (best to book) and it was lovely and they do good old fashioned home cooked puddings such as Jam Roly Poly & Spotted Dick and as for the home baked cakes yum!
If this site had direct access to the sea it would be perfect. Take provisions though as nothing is close but Stalham has Tesco & other shops and a brand new Indian restaurant which was superb also. We will return but during the school term as I think this is when the site is at it's best.

We found this site to be really peaceful and quiet. The washing and toilet facilities were kept very clean by the owners. This is a lovely base for exploring the Norfolk broads. We hired a boat in nearby wroxham and had a lovely time doing that. The children loved the beach at sea Palling. Although Sea Palling itself is run down and not to our taste. Although the campsite is lovely I'm not sure if we would stay there again as we felt it was very much geared up to older retired people. There isn't much space for children to play games and there is no playground or any facilities for them.
