This was our 3rd visit to Hartsholme. We had great weather and really like the campsite. It is always neat and tidy and the wardens are very helpful too. Quiet site set just on the outskirts of Lincoln city only about 5-10 mins in the car. Walking distance to a shop, post office and chippy! The country park is really nice and peaceful and relaxing, visitors to the park were respectful too and noise kept to a minimum. We had a great walk around it and the kids loved the play area. The only negative thing I have to say is the showers and toilets are very basic. Only 3 showers in the ladies and the weekend we went 1 had cold water only! All in all though we thought the site was cheap and good value for money. Its open for the Lincoln Christmas Market too and we will certainly be taking our caravan for that!

Just came back from my first camping holiday at the age of 54 and I had a great time. The site was set in a lovely position, quiet and sunny. We had a power cut on night and I must say it was dealt with very quickly. The staff are all very friendly and help full. There are wonderful walks round the park and we will certainly be going back

Visited end of May Bank Holiday weekend. Paid £9.80 per pitch plus £2.60 for EHU (this appears to be the price regardless of whether it's a bank holiday or not). Good Points: Clean toilet & washing up facilities Lovely location - in the grounds of a country park Very sheltered Close to Lincoln - about 10 mins drive Cafe in country park (by campsite entrance) open from 9am to 7pm - reasonably priced food & ice creams Bad points: Ground VERY hard under thin layer of turf - make sure to take rock pegs! Pitches too small for larger units (only just enough room for tent and car) All in all, a nice little site, with some lovely flat walks in the country park, and lots of lakes for feeding the ducks! Not for you if you require a lot of space though.

July 2005 I spent three days here, and throughly enjoyed it. The park got busy in the day as it is a tourist attraction, but the campsite was quiet even though there was a lot of people around. The childrens play area is well maintained, and there are plently of walks around the lakes. There was plenty of wildlife to see. The facilities (toilets, showers, and utility) were very clean. The camp rangers are friendly and helpful. The site was very well maintained, and lit up at night. It was also central to Lincoln city. I thought it was a little expensive, but I would definatly go back again.

July 2005 I don't think we'll be going back to this one. The site was very cramped and there was nowhere for children to play except on a very small patch of green but it was far too close to other tents and parked cars. Facilities were basic and could have been cleaner. It was certainly an overpriced site for what was available.
