Stayed here as easy access to Lincoln by bus from round the corner (£3. 60 return). Set in a country park with lots of wildlife and good walks. Coop supermarket and chip shop just along the main road.
A grassed site, all with EHU with 2 tiny hard standings that would only take a small transit sized van. Not particularly well kept- grass needed cutting badly and although the toilet block was clean it was very outdated and not big enough for the site.
No facilities for the disabled even though a pitch was labelled as such or baby facilities. We arrived to find someone else's stuff on our pitch and were told that they had left them behind-in fact they had double booked the pitch but luckily we managed to sort it out between us.
They beauty of this site is in its proximity to Lincoln and we will return- hopefully the council will take on board suggestions made as this could be a cracking site with some investment.

Stay for a few days while visiting my friend at her retiring home up the road. The campsite was perfectly located.
Easy to find, and easy to access, quiet and protected. I am on my own and felt very safe. I will stay again.

Stayed here for a few days. The wardens were always very helpful and it is a nice site, but I feel the council need to update the toilet/shower block. With only 2 showers for each sex, these are simply not enough as the site has 37 pitches.
It is a quiet site and handy for Lincoln centre but its location on a really busy road, not helped by the fact that there is a level crossing to cross so this road can take a long time to drive down.
Laptops and phone do pick up a wifi signal but this requires a password. When I asked a warden about the wifi and password I was told there is no wifi available at the site. I was a little confused.

Nice clean well kept site with friendly helpful staff. The nature reserve and country park are great. More for motor homes than tents though we were the only tenters there.
A spa is a walk away and a sainsburys a short drive in the same direction. If getting ataxi to town DO NOT USE handsome cabs they charge twice as much. Use direct cars 567567 they only charged 4. 50 and that was after midnight. Handsome charges 8. 20 before 9pm!

Wonderful park - our dogs love it there. Lots of safe walks around the site. When the cafe is open they do takeaways if asked - all staff very friendly.
Yes, the showers are basic, but better than none, and are kept spotless.

Gorgeous little campsite, staff were very helpful. Fully booked when we arrived on Easter Sunday but most left on Monday and it was lovely and quiet, we had plot 29 tooked into a corner it was fab, nice big pitches and well kept grass.
Site is spotless, toilets/showers are basic but very clean. The country park itself is beautiful, lots of wildlife and walks around the lakes. We only had two nights so just enjoyed the park but Lincoln is easily accessible.
There's shops just around the corner for food etc. We noticed everything goes quiet at 4 when the public leave the park area, this was the best time for us.
We went out walking again and into the kids play area it felt as if we'd been locked in, lovely time of the day. Ended up playing football in the field at twilight, hardly anyone about. If anyone is a keen runner, take your trainers as its a Lovell route for a jog. There's a lovely cafe in the park, I'm told their food is great but we just used it for ice creams.
Just a further note, we missed the entrance, the satnav sent us passed it, we expected the entrance to the campsite to be separate to the park, but you drive through the general car park and the entrance to campsite is in the park itself.
Also I noticed a few comments about the block of flats that overlook the site, we couldn't see them on plot 29, they're no bother at all and are a handy beacon if like us you've no sense of direction when walking around the park grounds.
Will definitely book again.

Visited this site during the school holiday for two nights. Although it was pretty much full on the first night, it didn't feel crowded and wasn't noisy.
Staff were helpful and pleasant and the facilities were clean and tidy. The park is lovely and was ideal for dog walking and running. Families with children will love it.
The bus stop is a five minute walk around the corner with buses running into the City centre every ten minutes (£4 day rider ticket).
We'd certainly return

Just returned from 1 night at Hartsholme CP, initially we went to see the poppy display in Lincoln but thought we would make a night of it. Read some of the previous reviews but my worries were unfounded.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the warden who was bubbly and friendly, she provided details about the park including bus and taxi information. We were allocated pitch 16 which was large enough for our needs, yes there is a block of flats that overlooks the site but we had no problems from the occupants or noise.
It felt like we were in the country rather than the city centre, the toilet and shower blocks were clean and adequate and we would definitely return to take advantage of the walks around the park and the lakes.
For info the 66 bus into Lincoln was £2. 20 each one way, the taxi was £4. 50 one way and £7. 50 after 10:00 pm.

We stayed at this site over the BH weekend in August, myself, partner and 10yo daughter. When we booked we were told it was the Lincoln Steampunk festival that weekend but still went. The festival as an eye opener but did not impact at all on our weekend.
The site is in a nice spot located on the edge of Hartsholme Country park. The site is overlooked by a tower block but we didn't get any noise at all. We were on a pitch backing onto the park but heard very little in the way of intrusive noise from park users. The facilities were ok - we used the shower in the MH more than we would normally but my partner used the shower block and it was fine. We all commented on it being a bit odd having to 'leave' the site to use the facilities but not so much so that we'd not go again.
Lincoln is a lovely city and add to this a few thousand incredibly ornately dressed steampunks and it was a fabulous weekend. We visited Doddington Hall framshop and café - strongly recommended. We also visited the Pheasant Brewery, again strongly recommended if you like a decent ale!
Sunday we spent down by the water in Lincoln and went on a steamboat cruise - very informative. Afterwards we went to the Jolly Brewer for a couple and had the pleasure of an open mike afternoon - very chilled pub and my daughter loved it!
Definitely recommend Lincoln and the site is reasonable if not stellar.

We love this little campsite the location is brilliant nice and peaceful but close to Lincoln. It is very secure with key code on a locked gate. It is ideal for those that want to have a bit of variation, shopping site seeking and peace and quiet.
We got the local bus from just around the corner £4. 00 return into Lincoln, the bus runs until eleven o'clock at night. The campsite is very well kept. The toilet block with showers and washing up, facilities are clean and heated, with a key code. There are only ten tent pitches. The tent pitches are fairly small compared to others we have been to so if you have a larger tent it is worth mentioning when you book as they will put you on the caravan part. The park itself has a lovely very reasonable cafe for those not wanting to mess about doing their own cooking.
The park has a nature reserve with some lovely walks, there is a play area for the children and lots of space for them to run around in. The only negative for the tent area is they need a tap nearer. Please note take rock pegs for your tent as the ground is very very hard and it is almost impossible to get your normal pegs in. We will definitely be visiting this campsite again soon.
