What a gem, the amenities are basic but clean and adequate, the beauty of this camp is it's location. Situated in a country park the pitches are great.
I have never been to a more cycle friendly City as Lincoln, you have to take your bike it is so useful. I have to go back here for a longer stay, there is much to do.
If you visit this site and want to use the local bus, have a word with very friendly warden, it may save you a long walk.
The pitch was great, plenty of room and distance from next pitch and nicely shaded.

Stayed here over the late May Bank Holiday weekend. An absolutely fantastic site, hidden away in a well run Council Country Park.
The toilets and showers were always clean and warm, locked with a key code to keep out general public. We went prepared with our Delta pegs and boy did we need them!
The Park itself is huge and the play area is great our kids loved it. There are lots of rabbits, owl's cuckoos and other wildlife in the park which makes it an interesting place to look around.
The bus service from the site into Lincoln is well worth it (bus timetable available from the Site warden) If we ever go back to Lincoln we will stay here.

Excellent location set within a country park. Facilities are excellent and clean, showers are warm and inviting.
The play area for the kids is a small walk into the park but is huge and well maintained, the kids loved it! The pitches are large, the ground was fine for us soft enough and not muddy when we were there but we did have excellent weather!
It is in an ideal location for visiting lincoln, which is a hidden gem in my eyes. I never knew what was there but I was happily surprised. The kids loved it too. The castle is spectacular and so is the cathedral. There's a couple of cracking cake shop too.
The site is close to a morrisisons and there is a spar just around the corner! Everyone on the site was really friendly and the kids made loads of friends.
The lady who looks after the site is so friendly, there's a little rangers shop with activities for the kids and a cafe for a sneaky morning bacon on toast!
Really enjoyed it and best of all it is the cheapest site anywhere for a large group - Bank holiday weekend £42 for nine people for three nights! Awesome

Keep going back to this site, we love it.
This last weekend was not so good. Nothing wrong with the site, Helen the warden as attentive as ever but, Friday night uncontrolled little girls, We love them when they are good but not screaming round at 11pm.
Saturday. Family gathering. Three caravans full of adults and children. Sole idea, to drink as much beer as they could. Nothing wrong there if they can hold their drink. They didn't and when a complaint was made to the warden they turned nasty.
Never mind, the site is still lovely and we will go back.

Great site staff are very friendly and helpful. Shower block is lovely and clean. There is a cafe on site that does a great breakfast for £3.90 It was very windy while we were there, but its so sheltered the tent never moved. There is a nice park for the children and lots of space to run around. Everything you would need is within walking distance a co-op and fish shop. Heed this warning please take insect repellent as you are near the lake, but don't let this put you off we will be going again. You can only use gas bbqs on this site! This isn't mentioned on the website but there are signs up at the site so don't get caught out!

The site is attached to a beautiful park and is run by the local council.
The warden was very friendly and helpful. She had allocated us one of the larger pitches for our huge tent (Maryland XL), but as the pitch wasn't large enough, she quickly moved us to another spot nearby. (Obviously, not something that can be done if the site is very busy)
The EHU on the pitch we had been allocated wasn't working, but the warden called the council and the problem was sorted within the hour. The pitches are clearly marked out, with tent (non electric) parking away from the tent area.
Had read previous reviews and thankfully took rock and delta pegs. On speaking to the warden, we found out that the site is built on a former quarry - which might explain the rocky ground.
Despite being slightly overlooked by the tower block the site was quiet. There was a little activity in the park in the evening, but they seemed to respect the campsite.
The facilities were always clean and smelt newly decorated. They are locked with a keycode to ensure they were only available to campers.
The showers seemed OK with plentiful hot water and were free. The utility room was two sinks for washing clothes and two for washing up - a little basic but more than ample for the size of site - given that the majority of site was primarily used by motorhomes and caravans.
The site doesn't have any shops itself but has two mini supermarkets within 10 minutes walk away and is about 10 minute drive from Lincoln.
My children enjoyed the play area in the park itself and the park is well worth exploring. Didn't get chance to visit the cafe on this visit, but having been to the park before I can recommend the food - just make sure you take your appetite!
Overall, we would happily return to the site soon.

Visited this site for the Waddington air show loved the stay, just a few minutes away from the show ground, shower block only small but plenty of hot water for showering/washing, block was always very clean.
The cafe is well worth a visit, before you go for breakfast make sure you are hungry, the breakfast they dish up is fit for a king.
The pitches are very good and well marked out, if you arrive and the warden is not on duty look at reception door the details of who is on what pitches will be there, get set up, then you can go and pay when they are open.
You will find all the staff very very helpful indeed.
The park area is just great for a good walk

A really useful campsite, friendly helpful wardens, 2 mini supermarket shops / post office and bus within a very short walk, and acres and acres of walks to enjoy, many of which are suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Free maps available. The campsite is not large, and tents are accommodated in the end field. The showers and toilets can get a bit busy but a key code means they are only used by the campers. There are also toilets by the cafe which can be used. The cafe is dog friendly which is good if you want to stop after a walk. We had a great stay.

This is a nice sheltered site run by Lincoln city council. The pitches are well spaced and marked out. The only problem is there is only about 2/3 inches of soft ground until you hit solid stone, so be prepared to buy new pegs after camping here! It drains really well, we had 2 hours of a really heavy thunderstorm, leaving very deep puddles, even had a frog in the tent, but within a couple of hours the ground was fine.
The campsite is in the country park, which has miles of lovely walks and a big kids play area. There is a small cafe on site that does breakfasts, fast food etc. Very reasonably priced as well. The showers and toilets are clean and quite good standard. They were broken into on the Friday night by youths and a mess was made, pulling toilet rolls of the wall etc. The very friendly staff came round first thing to see if we had seen or heard anything.
Nice location, good value, will probably be back.

Easy to find with a very friendly lady in charge.
We had hardstanding though the ground was so hard it didn't really matter.
All facilities are basic but clean. This is only a three star site so luxury it is not.
The park can be full of youngsters in the late evening but they normally disperse. I must say that there is nothing to stop them walking onto the site but they didn't.
The block of flats overlooking the site are pretty shabby but you forget they're there after a while.
Great cafe on site. Ladies working inside should be on stage! Full English great.
Great location. Five minutes walk around the corner you'll find the bus stop taking you into Lincoln city centre and a little further on are two food stores plus a fish and chip shop.
Where's Hartsholme Hall? It's been demolished but the grounds are well worth exploring.
