We went last year for 4 days with the whole family. Nice toilets, Showers and utillity with a washer and drier, and freezer for youre ice blocks.Really nice owners as well. Theres a rocky beach which the site looks over and what a view it is to,We are off there tommorow Aug 2nd 07 for 7 days of rest and relaxation. The site is well situated for nearby towns there's Tywyn a nice little town and then there's Aberdovey with the best chippy ever. Really good site.

A lovely site in a lovely location overlooking the sea. There is a steep walk down from the campsite to the rocky beach below, with wonderful rock pools to be explored. We saw groups of climbers climbing a steep rock face further along the beach to the south and heard from kids who had caught various sea creatures in the rock pools. We could'nt see the natural swimming pool stated in the review below, even though we walked for a mile or so up the beach. The site is near to Toanfanau and we came especially to see the motorbike racing - very enjoyable even in the poor weather. The site is also near to Towyn and Aberdovey so great for beaches too. The owner is a lovely man, very friendly and the facilities are great, free use of a freezer for re freezing ice blocks, a washing machine and tumble dryer (didnt see how much it cost), chemical disposal point. Standpipe is at the main block. There are two sinks for washing up, all lovely and clean with lots of free hot water. The toilet block is very clean and well kept with showers at £1.00 each. We took our own fire basket and logs for a campfire but loads of people used the stone ones provided, just take lots of wood, the stiff sea breeze means the fires burn down quickly. A freezing but lovely stay!

Awesome site! Each pitch has a small area for camp fires and a beautiful view across the sea. There's loads of space and it doesn't seem to fill up even in summer. It's reasonably priced - it cost us £9 per night for two people and a tent. It has a decent toilet block with 2 showers. The only gripe is that is costs £1 a shower and you don't get long for your money. The village of Llangelynnin is about two miles away and has a decent pub serving local ales. Go across the road to the tea room for something to eat. They do very reasonably priced traditional Welsh dishes and you can bring your own alcohol.

This is quite possibly the best site we have ever stayed on, I shouldn't be telling you really and keep it a secret! Really friendly & helpful owners, spotless toilets, showers and great wash-up room. Two fields right on the edge of the beach with wonderful views. We saw a red kite, oyster catchers and both visits have seen dolphins (porpoises?) in the sea just as the sun starts going down. Our 3 boys have a wonderful time especially because you can have a campfire (piles of rocks ready at every pitch-take any wood you've got!) Rocky beach but with lovely rock pools with shrimps and anenomes. Hardly used any gas to cook as we did most things on the campfire! Nearest village is about a mile away, a bus stops on the main road to take you to barmouth. We took lots of everything so we didn't have to move! Fine with dogs, must be on a lead as there are sheep wandering around. Allowed on the beach where your ok to let them off.

What a beautiful campsite. It is situated next to the ocean with fantastic sea views from every point. You can choose to camp metres from the sea or on a cliff top. Take binoculars for dolphin watching!
The site is a hidden treasure and is usually discovered quite by accident as the entrance is on a very steep bend and is easily missed. The facilities are fine - clean shower/toilet blocks, and a wash room containing a small freezer for use by all.
When the tide is out you can explore the rocky beach and if you walk south along the beach you will discover a natural swimming pool in the rocks - perfect. Friendly owners, reasonable prices and a dream place to stay. Fantastic.
