Great location ! Facilities obviously not in use but that didn’t make any difference to us.
Two pubs really close, bus stop 50 yards away to Lyme Regis, Seaton or Sidmouth.
We loved it!

Very friendly welcome on arrival and shown straight to our allocated pitch which looked over the river. Great views of the bird life.
Level site with shower block, Loos (closed due to COVID-19) and small shop for any essentials. Pub next door and another pub 100 yards up the road. Seaton within a 15 minute walk away.
We will definitely be back.

The site was ideally located, walkable to the sea and nearby Seaton. There are also two pubs very close by the entrance both serving good food and with beer gardens which are large and attractive.
The site itself is located on the river and a few of the pitches overlook the river, but these seem to be Mainly reserved for long term customers.
The pitches are all grass, no hardstandings and the facilities on site are limited. No WiFi, no motorhome service point for waste, no services pitches very basic showers and toilets which were closed when we were there. We were informed this might be the case on booking but most other sites had opened shower and toilet blocks at this point.
Staff were ok and grass was well maintained, but the entrance turning into site is very narrow. Can only turn left into site not right.
Overall ok more because of location rather than facilities.

I’ve been visiting Axemouth campsite for more than 20 years.
It’s a fabulous site with wonderful staff and friendly guests. I first started going when my children were small. They’re all grown up now but I still go back year after year.
Highly recommended to all.

As always, the Team at Axemouth were extremely welcoming and the site beautifully maintained. Located on the River Axe, with a great variety of bird life, the views of the river and surrounding scenery are spectacular. Local pubs & restaurants, within walking distance are a bonus.
The Team have worked hard to implement safeguarding measures re: COVID-19. As the toilet & shower facilities are currently closed and we have a tent, Jeanette contacted us in advance to advise, giving us sufficient opportunity to organise our own porta potti & shower tent with Solar showers, which worked well. The chemical toilet disposal point was easy to use and hygienic.
The most relaxing two week break in years. Look forward to seeing them again next Summer & have already booked.

Love this campsite but am reluctant to give a positive review as it will then attract more visitors!
Just kidding, highly recommended.
When we visited the only facilities were drinking water and chemical toilet disposal due to COVID-19
