This is a quite basic site but in a superb position convenient to the village but quiet with no traffic noise. It is right next to the estuary and it is possible to walk to Seaton along the shore at lower tides. The ladies toilet block is quite new but the gents is really tired and could do with updating. The charges are reasonable and the site and management friendly. There is a small shop open in the morning. There are many permanent touring van on the site reflecting the good position and popularity of the site.

August 2004 Site was small and crowded, lots of regulars. Ladies facilities new, very nice but when busy got blocked and flooded! Gents facilities very basic compared to the Ladies. Very cheap and conviently located next door to two very nice and welcoming pubs with gardens. 5 minute cycle into Seaton along the estuary.

July 2004 Have been visiting this site for over 6-7 years and still loving it. Very simple, convenient and cheap. Ladies toilet, showers much improved. Owner still comes round every morning for his dues and opens a small shed type shop in morning. Local pubs get very busy with campers during high season. Site is not trying to be anything it's not..... great place.

July 2003 A very pretty campsite not listed in most campsite books. Two pubs are right next to this site and both have excellent and varied menus. The village Church spire and clock are visible from the site. A fallow field next to the main field is home to dozens of rabbits which can been seen running around at night.
The site is in the village of Axmouth next to the river and about 2 miles from Seaton. Dogs are welcome. Site is run by Roger who collects fees in the morning. Facilities are basic but good and a small hut is open for bread and milk. Prices are good and electric hook ups are available. Best to book pitch in busy periods as this site fills up very quickly.
