Just back from a 4 night stay. Lovely campsite overlooking the river Axe with plenty of bird life to watch.
2 fab pubs serving food within 2 minutes walk. 20 min level walk to Seaton beach and the town.
Campsite is mostly level with basic facilities but all spotlessly clean.
Plenty of hot water - maybe a little too hot in the shower!
Very friendly and helpful wardens.

What a lovely site. We booked early and were lucky to get one of the two riverside touring pitches as requested, but there are other pitches where you can see the river from inside your unit.
We had a warm welcome from Ted who told us where everything was. The site was about half full when we stayed in June and the toilets and showers were spotless.
We had wonderful views over the River Axe watching the birds, trams, changing tides and sunsets. They also have a small shop and rally feild next door.
Axemouth has two pubs and a church and it's about a one mile walk to Seaton with its pebble beach. From here you can join the coastal path for hilly walks and spectacular views in each direction.
A bit further into town there are cafes, pubs and shops including a huge Tesco. A ride on the replica vintage trams that run along the opposite bank from the site is a must with a choice of places to have lunch or a snack in Colyton.
Although the site can't have a drive over drain for motorhome grey waste, ask Ted for his water chute for the drain by the ladies loos!
We will definitely be back for an off peak season relaxing break.

This must be one of our favourite sites. We love the area, East Devon/Dorset border.
The site is right in the heart of the village with lovely views over the Axe estuary and you get some lovely sunsets. The village has two nice pubs which serve food and bus stops to Lyme Regis or Seaton.
The site has all the usual facilities. Separate toilet/ shower blocks for men and women which are kept nice and clean. A laundry, a dish wash area, drinking water and grey waste points and an Elsan point. The large field for caravans and Motorhome with EHU which is pretty level. There is another large field for tents and campervans which I don’t think has EHU and another field for exercising dogs. They do have essential items for sale in Reception and Calor gas should you run out.
The nearest supermarkets etc are in Seaton which is just a few miles away. You can drive into Seatonin about 5 minutes, get a bus or take a nice flat walk along the estuary which takes about 20-30 minutes.
The site staff are all very friendly and welcoming and helpful. We always have a very relaxing time here and always look forward to returning.

Great facilities
Nestled between 2 great pubs.
Definitely worth a visit.
Will be returning again soon.
Brilliant views of the estuary and Reed beds with wild birds.
Good for walking into Seaton to the beach and within driving distance to Beer and Sidmouth.

This was our second time staying at this lovely site and it was just as we remembered it:
Clean, spacious, great location with 2 excellent pubs within a minute's walk, and friendly staff on site (one lovely gent helped me carry my washing up to save me making two trips).
We took the paddle board and kayak this time - you can drop straight into the estuary from the campsite when the tide is high.
We were two families staying in the second field - one family in a camper with 2 adult and 2 teenagers, and one family in a tent with 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog.
The site is very dog friendly and has an excellent dog field with plenty of room to run around.
This is a good value campsite and an excellent base from which to explore the beautiful Jurassic Coast.
We will be back!

Quite simply, my favourite camping site of all time. The position of the site is idyllic, on banks of the estuary, which is full of wild birds with trams travelling along the opposite side, and surrounded by beautiful country side, nestled on the edge of a picturesque village.
We always take a trip to Axminster for a very good food market on a Thursday morning.
Also visit the Merchants Tea Room at Colyton has wonderful cream teas, etc. Then there's fish and chips at Seaton front.
The site is immaculately kept with plenty of room between pitches; the shower and toilet block are fantastic as so clean (cleaned every day) and showers are always hot and powerful. Also good washing up facilities.
There's a separate dog field for exercise which also has the most amazing views over the estuary.
The staff are always available, if required, and very friendly and helpful; there's a little shop at the office. A very secure and relaxing site.

What a lovely quiet site - well run, clean and nice hot showers.
Great price too. Entrance was a bit tight to negotiate, but well worth it.
Beautiful location - certain to return.
