Spent five nights here over new year.
This is one of the best we've been to so far, an absolutely lovely site.
Very spacious, quiet and all on level ground.
Showers were excellent and very clean as were the toilets.
Joan was lovely and very helpful. All that's missing is a playground but I understand that's on it's way.
Fantastic pub 2 minutes away which does gorgeous food, but remeber to book. Delamere frest five minutes away in the car.
Definitely on the list to return as soon as possible!

First time ever camping and what an excellent first time. Went with my husband, my 3 year old little boy and the dog! Could not fault the site. Joan was lovely and shown us to our plot (NO 4)and would do anything for you.
The toilets and showers where very clean and at a high standard. Managed to have a shower and wash and dry hair in the mornings.
Will be going back as only 16 miles up the road but ideal for a weekend break.

What a lovely site!
We visited here after personal recommendation about this site and only being half an hour away from home it was ideal.
The site has only been opened a short while and while the existing facilities are excellent more are in the pipeline. There is one amenities block which houses both male and female facilities, disabled facilities, elsan points and the office which also sells basic provisions. There are electric hook-ups to almost every pitch and the pitches are quite spacious and well signposted. There are water stands each end of the site. It is also well lit at night. The lady that greets you, Joan, is a lovely person and can't do enough for you.
The site is about 2 miles from Delamere Forest just off the A54. Just across the field there is the Fishpool Inn, you don't even have to go off the site there is a connecting gate, although would probably recommend a torch if going at night as it would be quite dark. We visited there on Saturday afternoon, being the best afternoon of the whole year, weatherwise. We sat in a very nice beer garden and although we didn't sample the food ourselves it looked fine. A bit further along the road is also the Abbey Arms. Tarporley is about 3 miles from the site with quaint little shops and a Spar and Petrol Station. Chester is about 10 miles away. There are also numerous other places to visit, like Lady Heyes Craft Centre,Oulton Park etc. Harrington's (Discover)caravans is about a mile away too.
We believe that in the future a playground is planned as well as dog and nature walks and special events are being organised, themed music nights and hog roasts, we can't wait!.
All in all, would we return? try stopping us, see you soon and well done Joan and Billy.

Just got back from our last weekend away, what a great site to end the season with! Lovely, friendly owners, coudln't do enough to help. Good size pitches and flat. Clean and modern showers and toilets.
Site was kept very well and still has much more to offer in the future when children's playground, picnic area and more showers are added next year along with a fishing pond. Will add to an already brilliant site.
Great location to visit some lovely attractions including Delamere Forest and the shire horse centre, village of Tarporley not far either. A lovely pub serving great food and drink just two minutes walk away.
Will definitely be going back next year.
Thanks to Joan and Billy for everything. Who would have thought such a great site from someone who has never been camping herself. Lol!

We managed to book in for three nights stay, during the bank holiday weekend. Our first ever camping experience, so I have no sites to make a comparison with!
We checked in at reception with Joan who was very helpful. She showed us around and took us to our plot etc. Site had only been open three weeks so everything was still sparkling and new!
The internet access is not yet up and running and there is no children's playground as the symbols suggest. However, Joan did point out where the playground will be going and there is plenty of space at the back on site in the picnic area for kids to play and run around. Our kids are 14 & 10, so old enough to be out and about, but there were plenty of younger kids around. It all felt very safe and they could be seen at all times.
No restaurant/cafe or bar on site as again the symbols suggested. There is The Fishpool pub at the end of the road though (campsite is sort of behind and to the side of it) So this could be the facilities they mean? Site is set off a main road but we weren't disturbed by any road noise.
Showerblock & toilets were lovely and sparkling and cleaned regularly. Kept running out of loo paper though as did we from sharing our own with people, lol! Make sure you take plenty!
Showers were free and had plenty of hot water. A bit hard to rinse after use as they had a fixed showerhead. They would also benefit from a small shelf/fold down bench. They had plenty of hooks for clothes etc but I had to put my toiletries bag on the floor, which meant it got quite wet! Also, if like me your balance can be a little off, being able to sit whilst dressing etc would be a great help.
Plenty of washbasins and mirrors. Also a shaving mirror and hairdryers. One of the tubes from one hairdryer seemed to go missing though.
The tiled floor was very slippy when we wore rubber soles ie: wellies, so be careful.
Washing up room had two sinks. Would benefit from a bin in there as many people had odd scraps etc that they found whilst washing up.
Two washing machines, two dryers (£1:20), ironing board & iron are in a room leading off.
Pitch- On grass and we had EHU. We did feel that we were very close to our neighbours but as said earlier it was our first camping trip and we have nothing to compare it with. It might have been average but like I said, we felt a bit cramped and were very aware (especially at night!)of any noise we made. Site asks for no noise after 11pm.
BBQ's are allowed. Quite a few people had the disposable ones. Also, someone had a campfire in a grate/container. Because of the closeness of tents and caravans it did get very smokey.
There is a farm next door where a very confused cockerel lives! So take your ear plugs if you don't want regular wake up calls, starting at 3:30am!LOL
Lots of things to do in the surrounding areas. Delamere Forest, Oulton Park (could hear the cars on the Sunday!)Shire horse centre nearby.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return here. Small site which was perfect for us. Even pitching in the rain and wind didn't put us off!
