An excellent, spotlessly clean and friendly, in a great location.
Perfectly placed for local points of interest, including City of Chester and Delamere Forest among many others.
Showers / toilets exceptional.
Pitches are excellent, level and very well maintained.
Play area for children is safe and well positioned.
Owner is very friendly and accommodating. We booked last minute on day of arrival for 2 pitches ( family birthday), and were provided with adjacent pitches.
We live only a few miles away, but will be visiting much more in the future as we enjoyed everything about the site.
All our children and their friends thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Friendly, relaxing camp site, 'everything' very well maintained. Clean warm toilet/shower block with very hot showers, (we are not known for always getting up early but the showers were always hot!) and hairdryers. Joan who looks after the site is very nice and always willing to help and the owner was happy to chat and informed us that he had built the reception and facilities building himself and that he now has planning permission to build an extension to the shower/toilet block.
The pitches have plenty of room (a winnibago arrived while we were there and fitted easily onto a pitch!) the children's play area was a good size with plenty for the kids to play on and room to kick a ball around, (the entrance to it was a bit close to the campsite entrance, although the gate to the area could be closed to stop young children running out).
The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with plenty of places to visit with the children and we would definitely return to the campsite next time we visit the area.

Stayed 4 nights with 2 children.
The positives: the toilet block. Lovely, new and very clean. Very hot showers with changing area and lots of hooks for your clothes.
The pub behind - Fishpool Inn. Will travel to go there again - fab!
Owners very friendly and welcoming.
Negatives: A no rules on site - bit relaxed for me, cars parked wherever, no wardens, slightly scruffy (grass not cut), play area next to main road and right by the entrance to site (shame as there is a large space for 'Picnic Area' which was never used occupying perfect spot for play area!). I know its a recently opened site and the owners are trying.
It seems to be mainly a weekenders site. OK for a short, quiet stop off but we are unlikely to return.

Site exceptionally clean. Toilets immaculate. Well maintained pitches. Overall a superb site but lacking things to do and see on there, which doesn't reflect why a very high tariff per night is required.
Road to get to pub which is close by can be dangerous because of no pavement. Dog walk was nice and kept very clean. Staff were helpful enough showing us our pitch and giving us info for local amenities. If its quiet camping you require then this is the perfect site

1) Very large pitches for EHU
2) Ideal location for Delamere
3) No fuss site, no rules enforced
4) Very modern toilet / shower block however, if you shower after 8.30am, no hot water and it dribbles out of the head. You then have to wait until midday to wait for it to warm up.
5) They need wooden slats when you exit the shower, floor muddy and soaking wet.
Would go back though, just have to time shower better.

Great site, toilets and showers are the cleanest I have seen. This was our second time here, just overnight and only the two of us (plus dog) and it is a great place to relax, a dog walk area, it is quiet without being too quiet.
Lovely pub with a local brew well worth the short walk:), did not have a meal but believe it is good. The first time was with the family in three tents all put together and the kids loved the site and so did their children:).
Nice play area and the owners very friendly and helpful. In all it is only 35 minutes from home and a excellent place to end the week, if we get the chance to stay longer we definitely will.

Lovely campsite with possibly the cleanest showers and loos I've ever seen. Very tidy pitches with good water and electric facilities and the site is dog friendly.
Only draw back is that none of the pubs nearby would allow our dog in. We had to sit outside. OK if it's not too cold and dark.
Nearby Delamere Forest was beautiful and well worth the walk.

My family 2 adults 3 children visited site for a long bank hol weekend. This is the first time we have been to this site which many people have recommended. When booking site I did think it was a little overpriced but upon arrival staff were very friendly showing us to our pitch etc. , site is very well maintained. This is a very nice site shower and toilet facilities are excellent, fantastic safe site for children to play due to one-way traffic system and the wood area to the back of site for the kids to climb trees and make friends. Overall although still think a little pricey I would recommend we had a lovely chilled weekend visiting Delamere Forrest for walks in the days and we had great weather.

Just back from a week at this beautifully kept site. Toilets and showers kept very clean and constant hot water. Joan was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. A nice secure children's play area.
Ideal location for touring the area or walking in the surrounding Delamere forest. Plenty of pubs serving good reasonably priced food. Will certainly return when next in the area.

Just got back from 3 nights at this lovely campsite. Can't fault it for the money (£15.00 pn). Lovely and quiet (being below the flightpath for Manchester Airport was no problem to us)this site has lovely level grass pitches, spotless modern facilities and was a pleasure to stay at. Although we don't have any children, I did notice that the kids playground looked modern and well equipped.
Reception staff were very friendly, showed us to our pitch then left us to it. On arrival on Thursday there was only one other tent there and no caravans. On Friday after returning from a day out we found the site more than half full. Even more people arrived on Saturday, just for one night out. From the accents we overheard, the site seems really popular with locals.
There are lots of things to do locally from cycling in Delamere Forest to shopping at Cheshire Oaks. We spent a lovely couple of hours at Port Sunlight, went into Liverpool, went to Manchester Airport to view planes and went to Marple nr Stockport to walk along the 16 locks of the canal.
Would not have any hesitation staying here again.
