We stayed at this site for 2 nights from Friday 21st April. We only live down near Crymych, but this was our first chance to get away with the caravan since moving back to Pembrokeshire in January. With 2 teenagers and 4 dogs, and such a short break (my husband is a Dairy Herd Manager and it is difficult for him to get time off at this time of year), we didn't want to drive too far. I searched on the UK Camp Site website and was attracted to Cei Bach because of its location and facilities (the restaurant meant I wouldn't have to cook!). I rang to book a pitch and was impressed with the telephone manner of the man I spoke to, and also with the prices. £17 per night for a pitch with electricity and 4 dogs is very good.
We arrived on Friday evening after spending all day getting the caravan packed. The access lane to the site was Ok because we didn't meet any other vehicles, but I dread to think what it could be like at busy times. My husband is very good at towing a long outfit, but even he would have struggled to reverse if necessary. The greeting at Reception was excellent and we were soon settled on our hardstanding pitch.
The site was wet - it had been raining all week, but the grass was still in reasonable condition. We had to borrow an extension lead because the electric point was too far away. The toilets/showers were clean, although I found my shower was only luke warm on the Sunday morning. The bar/restaurant was very good - but the food prices weren't exactly cheap. Next time I would either cook in the caravan or go back to Newquay, where there were plenty of take-aways or better value restaurants.
Newquay is only a short drive away and is a lovely little town, with lots of shops and a sandy beach. The beach at Cei Bach is excellent - clean and plenty of space (lots of dog waste bins too). Basically this is a very good campsite and we would stay there again - it was wonderful being able to walk straight down to the beach, but be careful in the narrow access lane.

We first visited Cei bach in August 2004 and enjoyed it so much we decided to return again a year later. This is a wonderful site for a family holiday. Our 6 children are begging us to return again. The owners are very friendly, helpful and worked tirelessly to keep the site clean. The toilets are cleaned twice a day. The pitches are slightly sloping. There is a ball park and games room for the older children and a revamped play area for the little ones. The country club has been extended since our first visit and serves a variety of hot meals. The site is a short distance from Newquay and within 10 miles of several very beautiful beaches, Mwnt being our favourite.
A butcher and newsagent visit most mornings of peak time and the highlight of the holiday for our kids was the Friday night visit of the "cake man". We have made lots of friends during our two visits, most of whom have been visiting the site for several years. We will definitely return again. 10/10!

June 2005 We booked a couple of nights here at the last minute. Once we got there we soon decided we wanted to stay longer, we weren't alone as many of the campers around us had done the same. Its a great site with a nice view over Cardigan Bay from most of the pitches. The toilet blocks were warm, clean and had plenty of hot water. The office stocks milk but thats it. There is a Pub, Restaurant and Games Room on site. New Quay is only a couple of miles away for basic shopping an dteh nearest major supermarkets are 20 miles away either in Aberyswyth or Cardigan. We had a great week here and will definitely use it again.

August 2004 we visited this site last year, very clean and lovely views, however if you dont like dogs dont go!In our experience we found parents were letting the children take the dogs for a walk, all around the tents we had ours peed on twice while the kids run of laughing. Also on the beach there were a few clues to dog owners who didnt really care where there dog was or what it was doing. I did mention to the owner when we left that we wouldn't be back again just because of the dogs (or should I say owners). Shame really such a grat location. Oh one last thing if you get offered pitch number 62 dont take it, it's the worst one!!

August 2003 Very nice campsite, less than 5 minutes walk to a pebble beach. Less than 5 minutes by car to New Quay. There was a pub on site that also serves food. Site seems very well organised, although the rules were a little bit Hitler like. Showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained. Don't know if it happens all times or just high season, but a man came round first thing every day selling bread, milk and newspapers. Then about 10:30(just after breakfast!), there was a butcher. Would definitely go back.

The beach i didnt find very nice but at only a few minutes drive to NEW QUAY YOU CAN'T COMPLAIN.
The site is very clean and tidy and has all services at very short distance to your tent or caravan.
The food is excellent and the entertainment first class the Karaoke nights are very professional and entertaining.

July 2003
We will definately be revisiting this site. This site has showers(free), toilets, washing up area, ironing area, laundrette, hand dryers, hair drying points, shaver points. There is a childrens ball park with goal post and a play park with slides, swings, platform area, swing bars and monkey bars. And a games room with pool table, video games and fruit machines. There is a Club House too and they can also provide home cooked meals - we didn't take advantage of this as we was on the beach such alot. We did sit outside however in the evening with a cool drink looking at the gorgeous sea views from the outdoor seating at the club house. They accept tents and caravans and we thought that it was good that it was aflat fee of £10 per night for this time of the year for up to 5 people so there was no extra to pay for my son. They allow dogs here too. They also have an ice pack freezer, to use free of charge and situated in reception. There is no shop but all I was bothered about was the great position of this site and the peacefulness. There were families and children but the site was not noisy. There is a pathway to the beach, easy access. Shops are in New Quay, approx. 1.5 miles away, but can be reached by walking across the beach when the tides out. Great scenery, sandy beaches, rock pools..............some rocky areas if walking all the way to New Quay. The site is situated right next to the beach and we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves. Almost every part of the site has a sea view. We had a great time, we swam in the sea and it is the only place so far that I have seen flat fish swimming in the waters we were in. So close they touched us! Lots of crabs too as well as other small fish! One extra cost here was £10 deposit for a toilet/shower key. We didn't find it a problem and it is reassuring for safety anyway. The toilets and showers were good, no queues, no problems at all with these. Gaynor

May 2003 A small, tidy site. Bar and restaurant on site. Shower/toilet block reasonably clean with plenty of free hot water. Pitches have a slight slope, so pitch with care. Short walk along the side of the site to a secluded beach.... lovely. Brilliant site for active kids as they can enjoy a dedicated ball game field and games room.

Apr 2003 This is a great little site - a real jem. On a field above a cliff that has a cracking beach below it. Paved ramp down to beach accessible just off site. 60ish pitches with electics etc. Nice little pub on-site with great grub. Toilets perfect. Key card to enter toilets so its site folks only.
Only negative side is the pub is going down market with karaoke evenings. Noise levels near pub are high as you would expect. Noise does however die down about 23:00 ish.
Suggest you go in the quiet season outside of bank holidays.
