Had our first camping trip to this site and thoroughly enjoyed our time here.
The site is on a hill but not too much of a problem for us although our 1 year old did sometimes struggle. The view though certainly made up for it, straight out over Cardigan Bay, fabulous! A lovely walk down to the sea was a lovely way to end the evening.
The park and the playing field were great for the children although you did have to watch where you were walking on the playing field due to inconsiderate dog owners from people visiting the beach.
All the staff were friendly and the site was quiet after dark.
Toilet and showers were generally clean but perhaps a mop and bucket would have helped for busy periods when a lot of grass was walked in and they only seemed to be checked and cleaned once a day so towards the end they would be getting quite messy.
The site was down a single country lane but this meant no traffic noise. Site is a good base to explore the area.

We have stopped at this site many times and always enjoyed it, but this Easter a problem raised its head.
Upon arrival we were asked not to use our electric heaters and to use our gas heaters instead. This is because the supply to the site needs upgrading and if too many people switch on there heaters it will trip the entire site.
The new hardstandings are very good and the bar and restaurant are also good and you are always made welcome, although the prices are a little steep.
If your planning a trip to Cei Bach you will enjoy it, the views are great, the beach is just down the path and New quay in walking distance.

We have stayed here many times. This is a fantastic site. Well run - the friendly owner's are on site and very obliging. The site has wonderful views of both mountain scenery and the sea, and is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach (a bit steep, but only a short distance), but aren't most access paths to a beach. The beach is quite pebbly in places, but there are sandy spots also.
Take your choice of spot. The grass pitches are well cut, and you've never got to go far for your water or your electric point. The free shower / toilet facilities are kept spotless (especially if we, the campers, show a little consideration for others).
Washing up facilities are available with lots of hot water. The only downside is that they are closed from 12 - 2pm. However, if you know this, you plan around it.
There's a good restaurant/pub with good quality food at reasonable prices. The children's play area is small but adequate and safe. A games room is available for the older kids. Minimum rules are applied and those that are in place simply mean everyone has a nice holiday!

Just stayed here for the half term with our three Grandchildren. We all enjoyed the experience. As everyone has commented the toilets and showers were always spotless. I did wonder whether the facilities would be sufficient during busy times but were fine whilst we were there. We didn't encounter any inconsiderate dog owners on site. All the children were safe within the camp site and plenty to keep them occupied ie. play area and large field to run their energy off. Directions to the site were spot on and even with a largish outfit is no problem provided you take care on the last bend into the site.

We stayed at this site as a group of nine of us,consisting of 3 adults and 6 children.
Lovely site and brilliant views, only downside we were on a pitch with a slight slope.
Facilities were clean, and well kept, used the laundry only one washer and one dryer, could do with more of these,as there was a queue to use them.
Had a lovely meal in the restaurant, but be prepared to wait when it is busy,as there does not seem to be enough staff at these times.
Was met by Paul the owner of the site, and he was always on hand if needed.
Would recommend this site if you want a relaxing holiday.Small play park for younger children, and large field for older ones to play football etc.
It was nice to go camping and know the children were safe, very friendly group of campers on site too.
We would have never of found the site without the aid of our sat nav as it is tucked away off a country track.

We visited this site for a week in August 2009 with 2 young children and our dog. The site was in a lovely location next to the beach.
The toilets/shower block and washing up facilities are shut for 2 hours daily for cleaning from noon to 2pm, which means you are unable to wash up at lunch times, and that by late morning these facilities are in great need of a clean as the site was quite busy. We had a nice flat pitch around the edge of the site, but beware that those in the middle were quite sloping.
We ate in the pub on site one evening, which was very nice and reasonably priced.
We thought the site was quite expensive though, having to pay in full one month in advance.

We camped here last year, it was a very good campsite with a pub, a playing ground and an arcade. 10 mins walk down to the beach. Very nice walks in the area too. Plenty of toilets and hot showers which were very clean, also a washing machine and tumble, which we used once in the 7 days we stayed there and felt that they could benefit from another one of each as there were lots of people wanting to use them. Narrow road leading up to the campsite. The pub served very nice meals and at reasonable prices too. All the staff were friendly. A van came 'round in the mornings beeping it's horn which sold various items such as bread, paper, biscuits etc
New Quay was only a short drive away with a nice beach, lovely little shops, arcades, pubs and there was also a funfair when we were there. We went on a boat out to see the dolphins and saw a couple, the children were made up. We also went to a little farm? in cardigan bay, which I'd recommend to anyone with children.
A pleasurable experience, would definitely consider camping there again.

We were given pitch 1 as it was directly opposite a children's play park and a fantastic view of the sea.
A 5 min walk to the beach from the campsite in which I would most recommend visiting as well as the nearby New Quay town and beach with gorgeous sandy beach and lovely little shops.
There are water points dotted around the site for ease of refilling so no lugging it across the site or fighting over one water point.
Showers and toilets are ever so clean and looks fairly new when we stayed.
There is a washing machine and a tumble dryer that you can use for a charge (I'd definitely recommend using a colour catcher sheet to do mixed washing as the drum is so big that you can put in a lot!) a baby bath area, iron and ironing board, two washing up sinks and all undercover.
The children's play park is nice and comfortable, my kids loved playing in there, there is also a games room behind the pub which was difficult for us to keep an eye on the kids there but so far so good.
I can't see a fault with the campsite apart from the winding roads we had to go on to get to the site but wales being wales and it lives up to it's name.
We have talked about going back there again and would definitely do.

Had a fabulous week at this site and will definitely be going back. Its a very friendly site which is run efficiently and is clean - sometimes a difficult combination to find.
Can't fault the owners who are friendly, approachable and more than helpful.
A great base for exploring the area and a must do is the Devil's Bridge and of course the dolphin spotting in New Quay itself - we saw them playing in the water and the kids were thrilled.
Only slight problem was the noise of some fellow campers but you will get inconsiderate people everywhere at some time or another and the owner dealt with it efficiently and promptly.
Even managed to get some sun! in Wales! can't be bad.

We were looking forward to this trip as we read reviews of this site and we were not disappointed in any way. There was a warm welcome on arrival at reception, we were showed our pitch and it was a good size. After we had set up we went for a meal in the club and it was very good, service was good, food good and reasonably priced.
The shower block was clean and tidy. Also when our daughter was off playing with her new found friends, she was safe in the playground and the site itself.
Cei bach is a good base for discovering Wales. Cardigan is a pretty town and there is a 24hr tesco, but there are smaller more local shops and amenities in New Quay, and Abaerearon. The beaches are very good with a wide choice from tresaith to mwnt, there will be a beach to suit all.
Overall cei bach was lovely and a well run site. Recommend to anyone and we will be visiting again
