We stayed 9 nights when we arrived we went to reception and had a warm welcome.
Our pitch was large and shelterd.
The cei bach tavern was great the food was excelent and plenty of it.
Toilets and showers very clean and we never had to que.
The beach was ok a little rocky in parts but the water quality was excelent.
In newquay itself was great plenty of giftshops
And takaways at reasonable prices.
We took a one hour boat trip to see the resident dolphins the rose out of the water less than 3feet from the boat.
Well worth the price.
An excellent site we will be coming back.
The access road is very narrow in places and could
Be a problem for people new to towing a large car-caravan combination.
The only thing that spoilt our holiday was the weather the ground under our tent was soaked and became very boggy our hosts dealt with the problem
Straight away and we were able to move to a dryer section of our large pitch.
We were offered a new pitch but because we were with friends we stayed in the same area of our large pitch.
We cannot fault cei bach in any way evey one on the seasonal pitches were friendly and welcoming.
And just hope the weather is better for you but it has,nt put us off

Stayed here 3 nights. A beautiful site, well maintained with excellent facilities. We ate at the adjacent pub on 2 nights, where there is an extensive menu at reasonable prices, although certain items were 'off' (including Soup of the Day !, on both nights !). Service was a bit chaotic and slow on the second night.
What spoilt it for us was the narrow approach roads. On the 3 days when we left the site we had to reverse down a steep winding hill to a refuge when meeting on coming traffic (on the first 2 occasions lowloaders delivering large statics to an adjacent site, with a boat trailer too, then a car on the last day). As a result will not be using this site again. Maybe we were just unlucky !

Unfortunately everyone here has said all there is to be said about this site.
It's brilliant!
The pub on site was very welcome (and not noisy at all), but we had to cut our trip short due to the tent flooding and our youngest becoming sick. Otherwsie, we were planning on extending the stay.

Great site, don't be scared of the single track lane on the way in, directions for site as described are perfect.
Great views of the beach and bay, we had the beach to ourselves most days. Had a sea kayak, no problems on the ramp down, great fishing and even dropped a lobster pot in the bay. Built a small fire on the beach one night, kids loved it. Big problem just off site is dog mess, it is everywhere, all down the ramp to the beach and on the beach. Come on locals, sort things out.
Very friendly chap running it and on site nice and clean. For site to be perfect, it needs a new shower block, lights on a timer so if it is overcast you brush your teeth with a torch
All in all its a top site, the location is a winner.

Stayed here for 3 nights had great weather. Toilets clean, showers hot and never had to queue. Great views from decked area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Beach couple of minutes walk. Van comes round in morning selling papers, milk bread and other items also local butcher came round which was handy but Llanrth only 5mins drive away with spar and same butcher or Newquay with a Costcutter and other shops. Highly recommend this site and look forward to going again.

We went on a family camping break here for the bank holiday and it was brilliant. The facilities were very clean and tidy and the showers were power showers, which I was not expecting!
The pitch was brilliant the grass was lovely ans lush. Paul and steph were very welcoming and very helpful.
The ajoining pub was brilliant the food was very good and reasonably priced.
The park was only a short stroll to the beach and a 10 minuite walk to New Quay.
The park was faultless and would definitely return in the future.

Fantastic site, lovely owners, couldn't recommend it highly enough. Everything was A1, the view, site, facilities.
One tiny gripe, please open a little shop, the site needs somewhere you can buy a paper or such like. We can understand that the site wants you to buy food from the Pub but it's not a newsagent. It was hard work finding the site and the approach had an extremely narrow road, hence why we didn't want to move off site with the Motorhome.
The Pub was lovely and the food very well presented and tasty.

We really enjoyed our week here. The location is fantastic and it was lovely to hear the sea all the time. Lots of return visitors there which is always a good sign. Pitches were a good size with EHU available and spread out well. We had room for our 7x3 tent and two cars and could put our table and chairs out without being cramped at all. When we go back though we will try and get a pitch which backs on to bottom hedge just for a bit more privacy.
The pub/country club was fairly reasonably priced and had a lovely decking area with views over Newquay. We ate there one night when it was raining and it was pretty good.
We rarely had to wait for showers, which were kept clean but, be careful, they did not have much room to hang clothes where they could be kept dry and ours got soaked the first time! Kids enjoyed the play area and there was an adjacent field for ball games for older kids.
The beach was only a few minutes walk and looked lovely (unfortunately there had been a storm which washed up loads of seaweed and when we were there it was all on the beach and it was a bit pongy!) I have a friend with a static in the area and this is their favourite beach.
Local area is beautiful. Newquay is a lovely place to wander around, we went out on a boat and saw dolphins which my daughter is still talking about 18 months later. Beaches such as Tresaith are within reasonable driving distance and worth a visit.
Only gripe (and a fairly minor one!) is that freezer for iceblocks was in reception area - lots of opening of freezer and searching by campers (and kids, I think) so blocks took ages to freeze and one set of ours went 'missing' on 2nd day.
Would definitely return. (when we've got a fridge!)

Stayed at Cei Bach over the New Year with 2 other families. The site had a New Years party organised so stayed for 2 nights. The club house was really friendly and full of campers who leave their caravans there and regulars. Price was £16.00 p.N.(2 adults, 2 children, hookup and dog). Facilities were excellent, but there were only 3 showers in the men's and women's, so could get busy in the summer. The site is located right on the edge of Cei Bach beach which was fabulous. My guess is that the beach is mainly used by the campers as there is little public parking. We will definitely be back in the summer. One for the diary.

Had the good fortune to visit this site for a week in July/August. Our good fortune also extended as far as the weather, which was warm & sunny throughout the week! We set off on a Saturday morning from our home in Rugby, Warwickshire, at 10am and after arriving at New Quay and taking the wrong turning forcing us to travel two miles down a single track road – not a good idea with a caravan in tow – we reached the site at 4pm. Incidentally, the returned booking confirmation does give directions to the site suggesting you avoid the first turning – our mistake! The site is set in a beautiful location overlooking Cardigan Bay & the views are breathtaking to say the least. Our first impressions of the site were that it was very clean and tidy and we were made to feel extremely welcome by the owner, Paul.
The site does slope downwards towards the sea making levelling gear, certainly on the centre field, a must. We were on pitch 33, nearest the beach, and found it be fairly level. We found the facilities on the site to be extremely clean. The toilets & showers were cleaned daily between midday & 2pm which shouldn’t cause any problems as the restaurant toilets are available for anyone who gets “caught short”!. My only criticism regarding the showers would be that you only get a couple of seconds between button pushes which makes it difficult when also trying to shower a five year old! There is a pub/restaurant on the site, which serves a really good selection of food & drink, all at reasonable prices. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times over the week and the meals were excellent. The decked patio in front of the restaurant overlooks the bay and we spent most evenings sitting there with a beer or three watching the sun go down – fantastic! There is a children’s play area right next to the decked patio, which has a couple of climbing frames and slides that kept our five year old son entertained for an hour or so allowing us to just sit there, relax and take in the views!
The beach is a two to three minute walk from the site and is a mixture of sand, pebbles and rocks. It’s also very quiet and a bit of a sun trap - we spent most afternoons down there and it was never crowded – we even had it to ourselves on one occasion!
New Quay is the nearest town to Cei Bach and is a five minute drive or a forty minute walk away. It is one of the most picturesque harbours I’ve ever visited and seems to have remained fairly unspoilt despite the amount of people visiting. Take-away fish & chips in the evening whilst sat on the harbour wall – heaven!Aberaeron is a few miles in the opposite direction and is also well worth a visit. It has a lovely harbour a good selection of shops and as in a previous review, the local butcher really does serve the thickest cut bacon I’ve ever seen!
We found Cei Bach Country Club to be an excellent campsite with an extremely friendly atmosphere and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough to anyone who is contemplating a holiday near New Quay. We will certainly be visiting again next year.
