A very nice little site which is well laid out. The toilet/shower block are exelent and there was always plenty of hot water. A very large super market a few minutes up the road. We had bad luck with the weather when we were hit with a thunder storm which caused a bit flooding around the tent. The owners of site were great coming out in the rain to see if everyone was alright. Problem was sorted out in no time.

Originally booked for one night at this site but ended up staying longer. Lovely site on the Great Yorkshire Showground. Staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. Shower and toilet block was immaculate, endless supply of hot water. The whole site looks brand new and hardstanding is available. Ideal for anyone with a dog as there was a large field just opposite where you could walk and exercise them (it belongs to the Yorkshire Showground). Sainsburys and a place called Fodder ( local food shop, with deli, butchery, and café) within easy walking distance. Also bus stop at Sainsburys to get you into Harrogate. Price with electric hookup was £16. 00 plus £1. 00 for the dog.

A very warm friendly welcome. Good size pitches with electric hookup. Very clean and tidy toilet block and showers. No need for a bar or restaurant on site for there is Fodders, a farm food shop next door which sells excellent local produce, with a restaurant serving good quality food. A very large Sainsburys is next door to Fodders for everything else.
A short walk across the events field is a Pub Restaurant which has an excellent 'old charm' atmosphere which again does excellent food.
We never used the bus service, but the bus stops are at the end of the road for service into Harrogate
We didn't have children with us, so not aware of what facilities near or far are available, but noted that there were no facilities on site, hence the only reason we didn't give 10/10 overall rating
As Arnie says 'We will be back!'

Stayed here for bank holiday weekend. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Site has just reopened and the toilet block was immaculate. Hardly anyone was on the site, so we had the pick of the pitches. All pitches seemed well served and the site is a great location. We walked in Harrogate with an 11 & 13 yo's. Wish we had taken our bikes. The only slight issue was the hot water temp fluctuated on a number of occasions which if the site had been busier I doubt if there would be enough hot water. Very good site overall, will defo visit again.

We spent a very relaxing five days at this site over Easter and were really lucky with the weather. The wardens here are extremely friendly and helpful and the facilities are great. The only small complaint is that there are no modesty cubicles in case you don't want a shower, just a good wash in private and a few extra hooks would be good in the showers.
To be fair, I mentioned the hooks to the warden who agreed that more were needed and explained that they were on order. He also gave us information about bus times to Harrogate (bus stop only a short walk away)and nice walks nearby. Sainsburys and the Fodder Farm shop are also close to the site, as is the Travellers Rest pub.
All in all a great site to stay at, we will be back!

Fantastic toilet shower facilities on site. Friendly welcome from staff, gave bus time tables and info on local area - even walking facilities for our dog! Sainsburys on the corner for all shopping requirements. Local pub within walking distance across the showground and we were able to get a pint with the dog - result Our children are grown up so unsure of facilities for them.

Lovely quiet site with excellent toilet facilities. Good pitches kept in tip top condition. We have just returned from this site and liked the close proximity to a lovely pub a Sainsbury super market and bus stop into Harrogate all within 10mins walk. We loved the fact that once parked we had no need to use the car again until returning home. Wardens friendly and helpful. Lovely site will definitely return

Stopped here first week of opening. Very good site and very friendly helpful staff. A lot of money has been spent here and well worth a visit. Large pitches 28ft motorhome no problem, although on some a long hook up lead will be needed. Having said that no other issues at all. Bus stop near or £8. 00 taxi in to harrogate.

We arrived on the site one day before the official re-opening. The stewards are very friendly and welcoming, the pitch we were allocated was flat and dry. The toilet block has been re-furbished and the showers were among the best we've had at any campsite.
The bus into Harrogate town centre is only a short walk away and there is an excellent farmers market shop and cafe next door. Sainsbury's is at the end of the road, so no need to take the van out once parked up.
We will definitely be returning to the site which is ideally located for Harrogate/Knaresborough towns and any shows being held at the Yorkshire Show Ground.

Great site, next to the showground. A lot of work has been carried out on the site and it will take a while for it to mature. Farmers cafe and shop (fodder) next door and Sainsburys 5min walk away. The travellers rest inn is a 10 min walk away and harrogate is 2 miles away. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Not much for kids but plenty of space to do thier own thing.
