We went here for our first camping trip in new tent with s family of four. The facilities were exceptionally clean. The site was lovely but simple. It was great with a 3 year old and 9 month old. Pitches were a good size and the electric hookup was great. The location was easy to find it was quite central and also near big supermarket and farm shop.

We have just returned home after 3 nights on this lovely site. We were met by very friendly & helpful wardens. Our pitch was very spacious, the facilities are very well kept & the shower was probably one of the best we have used, free & hot. Would have liked to have a private cubicle. The dog walking area is wonderful (just wish everyone would do the right & decent thing & clean up after their dogs). The road past the site could be a little noisy particularly with traffic which was accessing the show ground (the show was due a few days later so maybe this was the main reason). Didn't try Fodder but it seemed very popular. A large Sainsburys store is 5mins walk. The Travellers Rest pub is a few mins across the field opposite the site. It is a 17th century pub, lovely, & we enjoyed a lovely evening meal there. We walked into Harrogate which took about an hour. The following day we walked to Ripley, 6-7 miles, part of the way along a disused rail track, which is a lovely village selling the most gorgeous ice cream. We caught the bus back, & they run about every 20 mins, which is great.
One negative the site has a rule about dogs being on a lead at all times. Unfortunately a group of people arrived on Fri night & camped close by with their staffy, husky, boxer & x breed dogs & obviously thought that rule didn't apply to them. As the owner of 3 dogs I was not happy that they were not told to keep their dogs on leads.
Overall this is a great site for visiting many areas of this part of Yorkshire & we would definitely use it again.

This campsite is one of the best I've used. The site was very tidy. The toilets were immaculate even when the site was full.
The position of this site was very good. There was a Sainsburys just down the road and a bus stop into Harrogate. Just over the field opposite is a pub which serves very good meals. If you like walking there is a very good walk into Harrogate through parkland.

Friendly welcome, nice site and facilities. Close to good pub, supermarket and dog walking. But why mow the lawns at 3 on a bank holiday Sunday. Went right round our van, moving our stuff and right up to the van while we were eating sunday lunch. Really noisy mower couldn't hear ourselves think and had to shut windows on a hot day.

After having had many good reports of this site I finally made it and was it a good move. The site is kept in tip top condition. The pitches are spacious and level. The toilets are modern and are in pristine condition regardless of when you go in. The showers are large and well planned so that they drain away leaving a dry area for getting dressed.
On leaving the site the area is a haven for walking, particularly with dogs, with many miles of footpaths. The showground area is huge and open to explore and gain access to Harrogate. Bus stops are a five minute walk for transport to Harrogate or Leeds. Having travelled all over the country I have never seen a Red Kite until we got here. They are above you practically all the time and frequently come low and land close by.
Fodders shop and restaurant is excellent as is the Travellers Rest (10 min. Walk). The pub serves great food and real ales.
Altogether, a great site.

Me and my wife (James and Rebecca) have just returned from a fantastic two night stay in our tent at Harrogate Caravan Park! The pitch size was very spacious and the washroom facilities were outstanding (the best on any site we've used). We also found that the park staff were very helpful and knowledgeable but they weren't intrusive. They made us feel very welcome.
In terms of local facilities, there is a fantastic farm shop selling great local produce (Fodder) and Sainsburys further up the road. There are also great transport links into the centre of Harrogate if you don't wish to use your car. Finally, if you like a good old fashioned pub, I definitely recommend the local Travellers Rest Inn for great food and ales.
In summary, when returning to Harrogate, this is the number one site I'd stay at!

What a lovely site! It's well laid out, very clean and has great facilities. Each pitch is a good size and the grounds very well maintained. The staff were lovely. I turned up after dark with no booking and was made very welcome. My day had been very hard with my dog needing an emergency vet appointment on my way to Harrogate. The staff were so friendly and made sure that both myself and my dog were OK. I ended up staying an additional night. Would thoroughly recommend!

We stayed Friday & Saturday night, on arrival we went into reception and was greeted by a very friendly warden who put us on a pitch next to our friends, who had travelled north to meet us. The site was very clean with a nice clean toilet / shower blocks pot washing area, elsan disposal and laundry.
Access was easy from A1 and site was right next to yorkshire show ground so plenty going on, Harrogate town centre about 8 mile drive but local pubs close enough to walk to.
Would definitely visit again and recommend.

We visited this great site for 3 nights and had a great time, apart from the spectacular thunderstorms and torrential rain on the evenings! But it is well placed for Harrogate, which is a lovely place with lots of great shops. There is a large sainsburys a few minutes walk away, which does great meal deals including wine, for £10. There is the travellers rest pub a short walk away across the field opposite the entrance, but I cannot comment has we never got there. If you turn right out of the site there are some lovely walks to the viaduct and the golf course. The shower facilities are some of the best we've ever seen and spotlessly clean. The wardens are very friendly and helpful. The only downside I found is that because it was the school holidays there were quite a few children about, that's not the problem, it was that some of them were left to run wild almost, and not kept in check by their parents. That aside I would thoroughly recommend this site (but we'll visit during term time in the future!). The pitch fees are very reasonable and we will be back

We used this site only as an overnight stop, but we were very impressed. It is newly built (2 years) and has been designed very well. Spacious and level, but the thing which really impressed was the shower block. This bright, clean building is so well laid out that a whole football team could use it and not feel crowded. Modern non-slip flooring continues into the large shower trays, which are let into the floor, so that water doesn't spread. And lots of hooks for clothes, towels, toilet bags etc.
The site warden was welcoming and clearly proud of her site, which lived up to everything we hoped for.
