We arrived on Friday late afternoon and managed to pitch up before it started raining. Nice level ground, but we did find by the weekend that we had a bit of a mud bath right outside the tent entrance. The kids play park is accessed through a side gate, which is locked around 9pm. The shower, toilet, dishwashing, laundry are all sited together, and although a wee bit dated, they are very well kept, nice and clean. There was some noise from local kids in the play park at night, but it wasn't too bad, and although it feels a bit strange to be camping next to a new housing estate, the site has a high wall and enough trees around for it not to be too obvious. A 10-15 walk takes you down to the beach and seafront with a fantastic new kids park, paddling pool and crazy golf which would suit all ages. The Carnoustie Chippy is a must if you fancy some fish n chips! Maybe not the most scenic site, but well worth a visit.

A lovely warm welcome by the warden.
Toilet block, laundry, dish washing etc all spotlessly clean and well looked after. I love having music in the toilets although forgetting my key when I was desperate was not a good move! I never noticed if there was a park but as we were next door to one I hardly think it was needed.
A good walk to the shops and Carnoustie is perhaps what would be called, sleepy. The co-op was good enough for us so no complaints. Didn't visit a pub, sorry.
I loved picking my own pitch and having the extra benches around if need be. I had forgotten my BBQ stand and was given one to use which was much better than the one I had left at home! The pitches were flat and took the rain well.
Some noise during the night but it seemed to come from the park rather than the site. Some excellent male voices singing - no football songs.
We will be back

As said before this site is enclosed in a walled garden. The toilets and shower block were kept very clean. There is a spar and a co-op plus a few take aways in the town only 10min walk away. The site itself is quite and there is a play park attached to the site entrance via a locked gate, key given at reception on arrival. No shop on site. Not much more to be said as its all been said before. Will go back again, only £17 a night for everything.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this site.
The facilities were the cleanest on any site we have ever been on. When we go away we are looking for peace and quiet and that is certainly what this site is about. Don't let the facts that you are surrounded by a primary school, housing estate and park put you off. This was a lovely quiet site.
The wardens were very friendly and always busy keeping up the standards. We normally ventured father afield so cannot comment on the local facilities. I have no criticisms of the site at all.
If you have young children then maybe this site is not for you as there is not a lot for them to do. Having said that, that is the exact reason why we loved it.

This site is contained within a walled garden and is quite sheltered with a children's play area and football pitches adjacent. This is accessed through a locked gate (key given at reception). Toilet and shower block although older in appearance will not disappoint proving to be kept very clean with lots of hot water and an added bonus of music. Site is on outskirts ot town within a new housing development but only takes a 10 minute walk into Carnoustie. There is a large Spar and Co-op which stocks everything you need. If looking for good pub food we recommend the 19th Hole staff very polite and prices reasonable. The site is quiet, clean and friendly and we will definitely visit again.

A high season pitch for only £17.00 per night with awning and hookup is hard to beat and when you add in the superb facilities it's a real steal.
As well as being free, there are so many showers that we never had to wait. The facilities would still be acceptable for a site twice as large!
The adjacent public park and play area (complete with swings, roundabouts, climbing frame, basketball net, football goals, etc.) was well used and well maintained, giving kids plenty of space to play and a variety of things to do without bothering anyone.
Several picnic benches dotted around the site is also welcome touch.
The TV room complete with pool table and vending machines was well used and the indoor dishwashing facilities were also very welcome, particularly when it rained.
It's also worth noting that entrance to the nearby high school swimming pool was open to the public and was half price with the campsite receipt, being a good way to spend a couple of hours one Saturday when the weather was a bit wet.
The site is a short walk from the local shops, pubs, banks, etc., and about 10 minutes from the sea front where there's another, much larger playpark and paddling pool.
Despite suffering torrential rain on one night in particular the site drains so well that the following morning you'd almost never have known.
As others have said despite being in town and close to houses it is very quiet. Highly recommended.

A pretty lay out to the site, it was clean, plenty of showers and toilets, a children's / games room, (handy in the really wet weather,) No shop on site but close enough to local facilities, I have no problem with anything the site had to offer, my only criticism (which is based on personal preference) the site is located very close to houses and children's park and a road and I prefer sites to be more rural, something a bit more away from it all

Without question one of the nicest campsites we have stayed at. Excellent value for money.
Toilets and showers were immaculate, plenty of flat grass and room for the pitch, and in between pitches. Tv, gamesroom, washing up and laundry facilities also.
5 minute walk into town, and beach.Bus stop right outside the front gate.
Caretaker and wife always at hand to help if needed and have done an excellent job maintaining the site.Looking forward to returning next year.

This is the second time we,ve stayed on this camp site. Lovely site on edge of Carnoustie within an old wall. Beautiful flower displays. Showers and toilets clean and showers hot and adjustable. £17.00 per night 2 adults one dog,on a pitch with water and EHU. The site was very busy but no noise late at night. There is a road runs outside but this didn't bother me and traffic dies down at night. It's not the main drag ! Lots of shops and take aways in main street. Wardens very friendly and helpful. They live on site right next to caravans in their own caravan so they are right there if there was any bother, which there wasn't. Very friendly site with everyone speaking to each other.Very clean beach. Would come again and again.

Excellent site for families. Toilets and showers were spotless. Warden was very helpful. He enjoyed a bit of friendly banter with us. There is a park just at the other side of the fence which did require a key to the gate. This keeps unwanted people from coming onto the site.
We would go back to this site and would recommend it to anyone. I would give this ite 10/10
