I have been to a few caravan parks but this is the cleanest and best kept grounds I have seen. A play park right outside just through a gate that is locked at all times campers have a key. Your a 5 minute walk from the beach front and a big play area. Toilets are fab clean smell great fresh cut flowers scented soaps can't say enough about this park it's a must visit.

I've just returned from a ten day visit to Woodlands caravan site in Carnoustie and enjoyed every minute of my time there.
The site warden, Mr Ferguson, could not be more helpful and the site is definitely one of the best I have used in Scotland. The toilet and shower facilities are kept in pristine condition and it would not be possible to fault the grounds.
It is less than ten minutes walk to the high street and little more to the seafront and golf courses. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Excellent campsite with a warm welcome.
The toilets and showers were very clean with plenty of hot water and a proper hairdryer. Fridge and freezer for use as well as a kettle, toaster and microwave.
Spacious well kept grass area for tents, good drainage, and we used EHU which also gave us a tap for running water.
Beautifully kept with flower beds, access to a large park with a key that is given to you and 15 minutes from the seafront. Good local facilities including a co-op, great bakery, and a local train station
Not really a campsite for children but that is not a problem, although Carnoustie has some great things for children down on the front.
Walk around Crombie Country Park well worth a visit, St Andrew's Castle and Cathedral also very interesting
We will definitely be returning. Thank you

First time at this site didn't want to travel far so an hour's drive sounded good for a weekend away. Phoned Bill to say we may be late in arriving but got there earlier than expected. Brilliant site we were on a super pitch and it was massive. Toilets spotless and lots of facilities available. Cater well for people in tents microwave, fridge, kettle etc. They even had tea, coffee. Large selections of books and dvd's. Bill the warden very helpful. Plenty walks near by for dogs and there is a park next to park with a kids play area. Lovely beach for walking. Nice short walk to the shops where there is a coop and a wee spar and newsagents. We had lovely fish and chips from the chip shop. Will definitely be back. Nice and central for visiting the area.

I have just returned from a 6 night stay at this site. The site is beautiful and everything is very clean. The warden is friendly and helpful. During my stay I used the toilets, showers and kitchen area daily and all were immaculate. I also used the laundry area on one occasion and it had large sinks for hand washing and commercial washing machine and drier. Both the kitchen and laundry areas have lots of leaflets for nearby attractions. The kitchen area had a fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster and although I had no need of these as I use electric hook-up I am sure they would be very useful for those who travel a little lighter! The campsite is located in the town and it is a very short walk to the High St. The campsite backs on to a park which has a children's play area that is perfectly adequate although small and is accessed via a locked gate (toilet key). A ten minute walk down to the beach takes you to an excellent bigger play park - my kids are 10 and 6 and we walked to the big park every evening and on most occasions they had the park to themselves. This bigger park had a really good variety of things to play on that kept both my kids amused. Also within a 10 minute walk towards the beach was a Coop shop which was plenty big enough for our needs and a chip shop which was fab!

We visited, this site just for one night only, we wished it had been more, the site is in a good quiet location, and it only takes 10 minutes to walk down to the main street, the site is very well kept, the floral displays are beautiful, the grass is very green, and the site layout is great, the toilet block is excellent, with plenty of toilet cubicles and wash basins and plenty of hot water. The Warden is very good at his job, and obviously takes great pride in the site, and is also a mine of information, regarding eating out places, pubs, walks, cycle routes etc. There is a Park next to the site, which is accessible via a locked gate, for which you are provided with a key, keeping unwanted visitors out and also possibly keeping the campsite children in. One of the best campsites we have visited, look forward to returning soon.

We visited this site for the first time and we were impressed by the general layout.
We had booked a serviced hard standing pitch and it had ample space if you wanted to put up an awning or sit out.
The toilet block although old fashioned, was kept immaculately clean with ample showers and wash basins.
There is also a playroom to keep the kids interested
The site is around a 10 minute walk into Carnoustie town centre which has a few pubs and restaurants. It you want more choice, it it easy to get a train into Dundee.
Would we return - Yes

We always enjoy returning to this site. It's immaculate and a real credit to the Wardens. The 2015 fees are the same as 2013 at £19 (£17 concession) for a fully serviced hardstand pitch, very good value. The adjacent park is ideal for dog walks, the shore is about 15 mins walk away, the bus stop for Dundee is right outside. I especially appreciated the two huge vases of fresh flowers in the Ladies - that shows a site that will go the extra mile.

What a gorgeous site. The floral displays and wood carvings are fantastic. Our attention was drawn to 'Angus' the piper, the eagle and the thistle, someone is extremely talented.
The toilet/shower blocks and the disabled toilet are spotless with such a nice touch of individual liquid soap pumps at each sink.
There is a kitchen for all to use with a fridge/freezer and microwave.
We had the pleasure of meeting one warden Sandra who was so pleasant,
Helpful and could not do enough for you. She gave us a tour on our arrival and nothing was a bother to her. The pitches are so well kept. If you are a dog owner there is a great park right in front of the site and access can be gained from the site through a gate. It is so safe. A most enjoyable break with absolutely no hassle and an extremely pleasant warden. Well done Woodlands, we shall return. It is so easy to walk into Carnoustie for papers etc.
