This was our first visit to this site but it will not be our last. I was aware of the site after seeing the signpost on the roundabout whilst going to Pembrey Caravan Club site previously. We stayed for three nights to attend a anniversary party in Llanelli on the Saturday. My wife and I received a very friendly welcome from the owners and nothing was too much trouble.

The pitches were large hardstandings with mowed grass in between and considering the time of year the site is still very well maintained. If you have a mover on your van it is advisable to use it to enjoy the views which are spectacular looking over towards Swansea and surrounding areas. The family are currently working on the new super pitches behind us which will be ready by 2013. The machine work, which was going on at the time of our visit did not spoil our weekend, and I am sure the site will be even better when the work is completed. Overall the site is very clean and tidy. We did not use the facilities but they looked spotless and everything about the site has a well kept feel about it.

We had a superb carvery in the Old Bridge Inn in Llangennech on Friday afternoon which is about three quarters of a mile away and within walking distance, however it is a bit of a climb back to the site.

All in all we really enjoyed our weekend and look forward to returning on a regular basis especially during the summer if we have one.

This site was brilliant and extremely good value for money.

It was a really nice quiet site but it still had easy access to A-roads/M4 for travelling around.

Our pitch was hardstanding and well spaced out. The site was constantly being maintained, cleaned, grass mowed by a very smiley chappy. They took great care of the site.

The toilet facilities were very clean and smart with luxury handwash and loo paper.

The shower rooms were massive. They were FREE and always hot no matter what time of day we used them.

There was Wi-Fi available which we used.

The staff were very friendly and told us about cycling areas and where to go.

The 'information pegoda' was great with millions of flyers, maps, and lists of restaurants, shops and emergency services etc. They even put up lists of local events and things that may be of interest (whilst we were there the owners put up a notice about the meteorite shower taking place in August whilst we were staying).

We even had our own picnic table (per caravan) and the nice chappy came round when it was sunny with a sun brolley and collected it at the end of the day.

The owners really had thought about the 'little' things which made a 'big' difference to our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better site and will return again for definitely.

Note: We did not have children with us but there was plenty of large grassy areas for kite flying/playing which we saw other children doing.

 An excellent site.

Access is very easy. 2 mins from the M4 junction 48. Very well levelled site with hardstandings. Nice touch of a picnic bench for each pitch. Excellent view over the river loughour.

2 clean and well maintained loo's and 2 new clean showers which have loads of room.

I did a fair bit of walking in the area. A fantastic glass tourist information structure with loads of info on the area is on site.

Co-op just down the road and more bigger shops and supermarkets 3 mile down the road at trostre.

Owners were very pleasent and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend this site for the Gower, Pembrey, Carmarthenshire and I will definetely be going back.

Llwynifan Farm Caravan Park just off the M4 in South Wales is an Adult only site listed in the Tranquil site and listed by the Best Of British sites.

We have visited twice to this site this year and got to agree that the site run by Hywal and Cathrin who own the the site.

They offer a warm welcome to the beautiful site with stunning view we would recommend a visit to this site but you need to book early as it soon fills up.

What a lovely site. After having our original booking at another site cancelled due to flooding 36 hours before we were due to arrive, we rang here not expecting to be able to book on as it was August Bank Holiday weekend.

They sorted us a pitch straight away, and on arrival was given a warm welcome and a choice of pitches.

We asked if it was ok to pitch a tent next to our caravan for the two teenage boys we had with us to sleep in and was told we could put it next to the van or if they wanted to sleep away from us we could put it in the field opposite us. We plumped for next to van so they could have electric for tv and xbox.

The shower block is clean and tidy, and the shower is hot and powerful, toilets are clean and have real towels to dry hands on.

The site is situated on top of a hill so the view is spectacular.

When I asked where I went to pay for my stay I was told 'When are you leaving.Monday? Oh we will catch you before then, don't worry about it'

We would definitely recommend this site for all that want to get away from it all and chill out.

Haven't had the time to explore the area as we have just arrived today but had to leave a review asap for anyone looking for a decent place to stay.

This is a brilliant CL, has hardstandings, loos and showers (one per gender in a purpose built block), great views over the estuary, is very clean and tidy and with friendly helpful owners. £10 per night, great value.

It's easy to find, only about a mile from J48 of the M4, take the main road towards Llanelli and turn right at the first roundabout. Don't take the left turn to the road called Llwynifan, the site is next left and is signed.

There are a few pubs serving food, a Co-op and Bargain Booze in Llangennech, a large Morrisions a couple of miles away towards Llanelli and a good pub called the Joiners Arms about 3 miles away. To find this, turn right in Llangennech village and left at the first traffic lights, it has cheap good food, Sky TV, pool table and Friday night entertainment.
