Stayed here for 3 nights. Had a lovely friendly welcome off the owners, very helpful in telling us where everything was, nothing too much trouble for them. Lovely information place full of leaflets, books, games, DVD, to borrow. Amazing site with stunning views. Toilets what can I say amazing, spotless and very well looked after, love the little hand towels. Lovely clean park. There is somewhere to let your dog off or there is a lovely walk down by a nearby river. We drove off site to the nearby beach and had a lovely walk along the millennium coast. Plenty of retail parks in the area if need to have a spending spree and there are lots of places to eat if need be. Really enjoy our stay here. Lovely to just relax. We will return next year for sure.

As said in other reviews, this campsite is the best we've stayed at for a very long while.
The whole site from toilets to pitches is immaculately kept, and so nice to have the grass cut and collected. Hywel and Cathrin are rightly very proud of their site.
Only stayed for 3 nights but wished I could have stay for 3 weeks or more! Just did not want to come home.
Also excellent value for money.
Highly recommended, adults only site, which we prefer being the only minus point.
Many thanks for a lovely stay and look forward to a return visit sooner rather than later.

We stayed here for 5 nights to get to know our new caravan. The caravan was fantastic, not as convinced about the site as most of the other reviewers seem to be however. True, the pitches were large and spacious, and yes, they have little monogrammed flannels in the washroom, (to call them towels would be stretching it a bit), but that didn't swing it for us. We travelled to Rhossili Bay and walked on the downs which was stunning, walked on Llanelli beach near the Pembrey Country Park, and did the Trosserch Community Woodlands walk which was lovely. The village nearest the site looks more like an industrial park and so we didn't find it particularly pretty. There are only 2 showers on the site, and as mentioned previously the hairdryers are inside the cubicle. Slightly annoying when you're stood waiting for the shower and you can hear someone else drying their hair, while the shower is obviously vacant. I would also imagine that the showers become somewhat busy if the site is full. I don't think it was even half full while we stayed and I had to wait several times for both toilet and shower. There aren't many sites I would say this about, but we definitely wouldn't return here.

Management response: Thank you for your review and for the 7/10 rating, we are really pleased that your happy with your new van. We also highly rate Rhossili, Llanelli beaches and the Community woodland which is near to us.
Did you get to Llanegennech Village? it's only one small street, but does have a co-op, chemist, pubs / restaurants and a couple of take away outlets? Llangennech is our nearest village and is ideal for the daily newspaper, or an essential food requirement. You need to drive along the main road, through a section of the old MOD site to get to the village. Further down the road towards Llanelli however there are two large retail parks, Pemberton and Trostre which have a far better choice and range of shops.
We agree with you also regarding the showers, and have plans on upgrading them, we plan on installing an extra shower at the end of the 2016 season, as it stands however we are well within the ratio of showers to vans required by law. During high season when the site is full, sometimes people have to wait for a little while for a shower, especially during the morning and evening rush hour, but we have recognised this as an area for us to improve on. The hair dryers in the mean time have been moved outside the shower cubicles.
We are concerned that you had to wait for a toilet, as there are 3 toilets for the ladies, two toilets and one urinal for the gents (More than what is required) we have have never seen or been told that anyone has had to ever wait! We have Monogrammed flannels for our guests to dry their hands, instead of electric hand dryers.
We are concerned also that you felt that our park was not up to your standards, and we endeavour to ensure we maintain the highest standard of customer services possible, and that should any of our guests have issues regarding our facilities, we are available on site 24hrs 7 days per week.
Kindest regards Hywel & Cathrin |

Our first visit to this site and certainly won't be our last. Site was easy to find and the pitches were spacious. We picked a fully serviced pitch which housed caravan, awning and car with plenty of room. Each pitch had its own picnic bench which was a lovely touch and was lovely to sit out and admire the beautiful views from this tiered site. The facilities were spotless and had lovely personal touches with locally sourced soaps and personalised hand towels. The owners obviously take a great pride in this site and nothing appears to be too much trouble. There is a great dog walk on site which is ideal for morning and night rituals. Site is ideally located to tour surrounding area and there is a well stocked information hut with all local info. Lovely welcome from Cathrin on arrival and a chocolate gift was a nice welcoming touch.

We have just returned from an enjoyable 2 week stay and were very impressed with the site for the following reasons.
1. Access to the site is excellent only 2 miles from the M4 with no difficult narrow roads.
2. On arrival at site we were meet by Hywell who showed us to our pitch which was hardstanding with a fantastic view.
We found both Hywell and Cathrin very friendly and helpful over our entire stay.
3. The toilet and shower facilities were probably the best that we have had on any site that we have visited.
4. There are 2 major retail parks within a 10 minute drive and a Co-op in the village 5 minutes away.
5. The information point is well stocked with leaflets and a goodly library of books and DVDs are there for people to borrow.
Apart from some of the weather we had a lovely holiday and will probably visit again some time in the future.

My word what an absolutely fabulous site. Hywel and Catherin are so welcoming and friendly. The site is immaculate. The toilets and showers are pristine and modern. The fully serviced pitches are treble in size. Hard standing space for car caravan and awning, then same size again plot of grass with a picnic bench. The site is terraced and cleverly laid out so each plot has a scenic view.
The surrounding area. There are shops, takeaways and pubs in Llangennech
If you don't fancy the walk £6 return in a taxi. About 5mins drive away is a couple of large shopping outlets with Morrisons, Tesco and M&S and the usual.
We had trips out to Tenby, The Mumbles, Cardiff, Llandeilo, Carmarthen and Swansea. We're saving The Gower for next time. We will be back

We found the site easily and were greeted on our arrival by Hywel. Our pitch was enormous! Hard standing with its own water supply and EHU. Plenty of room for the 'van, awning and car as well. Amazing views, we could see as far as Swansea, the Gower and the Black Mountains, and all pitches had equally good views. The site was quiet, and apart from the occasional dog barking you could easily imagine you were on your own. Showers and toilet facilities were exceptional, never before have we stayed somewhere that even provides monogrammed hand towels! The information point was well stocked and there is lots to do in the area, the Wetland Wildfowl Trust centre was three miles away, Gwili railway well worth a trip for the cream tea, plenty of walks in the area, good shopping centre down the road and plenty of food shops. The Red Kite feeding station was a spur of the moment trip, but highly recommended, and next time we'll spend more time on the Gower as well. We will definitely return.

Over Many years we have stayed on hundreds of sites, some good, some not so good, But LLwynifan farm is by far the best site we have ever come across.
From the very friendly owners, where nothing is too much trouble to the 5 star quality of the whole site we did not have the slightest problem.
The owners have obviously worked very hard to achieve this standard and must be congratulated.
If its Tranquillity you want then this is the place.
We hope to return again soon

What a lovely surprise when we were shown to our pitch. A very generous hard standing area, fully serviced, and with and a large grass area between our neighbor on which is provided a picnic bench for alfresco dining. The views are to die for and the whole site is 100% perfect. The lovely touches in the communal areas equal hotel hospitality. We didn't meet Cathrin on this occasion but Hywel was lovely and very helpful regards where to visit etc. , One thing for certain is that - we will be back.
