From the moment you book this site you know it’s going to be a good experience.
Hywel and Cathrin have got this campsite spot on and it probably one of the best Tranquil Touring sites there is.
Hywel or Cathrin take you to your pitch and point out where everything is, once settled in if you wonder over to reception you will receive a welcome pack with all the bits of info you require on the campsite and the surrounding area.
The pitches are nicely divided with ample space with stunning views over the Welsh Countryside.
The toilet and showers are kept impeccably clean with nice little touches like fresh flowers on the sides.
If you have a dog there is a nice enclosed field for them to exercise in to the side of the campsite.
Would we go back. Yep in a flash

Fantastic just what the doctor ordered. From arrival to departure wall to wall sunshine and peace and quiet. A lovely sized dog field / run on site. Beautifully kept toilets and showers that smelt fresh and clean all the time, even a little flower arrangement.
All these small touches make it special with proper small terry towelling to wipe your hands and then put in a wash bin to be laundered for next time. We were on a service pitch top tier and the views are amazing with fresh air in plentiful supply. Before leaving we booked again for later this year.

We spent 10 days at this little gem of a site in June. We had one of the fully serviced pitches on the top tier and it was really lovely very large pitch plenty of room for our caravan, awning and car and even our own picnic table which we made a lot of use of as the weather was gorgeous for most of the time that we were there.
Facilities were excellent (toilets and showers) and kept very clean and although we didn’t make use of them there is also a washer & dryer and washing up facilities on site. Hywel made us feel very welcome when we arrived and gave us our welcome pack and took us to our pitch he even offered to help set up the caravan if we needed it. The site also has sun parasols in the information room that you can borrow, which came in very useful because of the weather. As we were on the top tier all we had at the back of us were fields and the occasional mooing cow (bullocks in this case), so it was very very peaceful.
The site is in an ideal location being only a few miles from the M4, but there is absolutely no traffic noise whatsoever we had total peace and quiet for the whole time we were there. There is also a small Co-op in nearby Llangennach and two large supermarkets in the out of town retail sites about 3-4 miles away where you get ever you could possibly need. Because of its location the site is ideal for touring that part of South West Wales/Gower. We went out and about a lot including visiting a couple of places recommended by Hywel, but there’s still plenty more for us to see when we go back again, which we assuredly will.
The only couple of slight hiccups was the WiFi was playing up for the first week or so, but the site had a strong 4g signal so that wasn’t too much of an issue and it is free so we shouldn’t really complain. The only other problem we had was actually on arrival, because it had been raining the road leading up to the site was quite slippery and as it’s quite a steep road our Honda CRV was struggling a little to get any grip, but we’ll know where the turn in is next time so we’ll just have to remember to swing in to get a bit of a run at the slope. Would definitely recommend this lovely site and we will certainly be back again.

The owners were very helpful. Showers and toilets were immaculate, well-designed and beautifully equipped and stocked - could have been in a 5-star hotel.
Pitches on terraced rows and vary in depth so not all will take larger units. Pitch widths and separations are good. It appeared that only the upper row has grey water services. These also enjoy the best views over the countryside. A good picnic bench was provided.
The site is a short drive from the village and it would have been useful if the owners had some basic supplies on sale, such as eggs and milk.
This is a farming area and there were cattle in the fields around the site, right up to the fence adjacent to the top row of pitches. They were quite noisy early some mornings.
The dog exercise field was of adequate size but there had been problems cutting the grass (weather and poor health), making it difficult to pick up dog mess. When it was mown not all the cuttings were collected, so wet grass caught on dogs and shoes.

Management response: Thank you for the review,
This year (2018) we are offering basic supplies, milk (in glass recycled bottles) eggs, bread, cheese and butter etc. We are trying to do our bit for reducing plastic where we can.
Apologies for the grass cutting in the dog field, it had been so wet that cutting it would have caused more mud and mess! We usually cut it three times a week, so it mulches down. Cross fingers for a dryer summer this year.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and always appreciate feedback and ideas (Like the basic supplies)
We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Best wishes
Hywel and Cathrin |

What an absolute delight this place is. Right from the original booking experience, through to the checking in process. Everything was made very easy and welcoming.
When we got there, Hywel greeted us as long lost friends and made our stay an enjoyable one. He walked past every day and asked how we were getting on and stopped for a chat like we'd know him for ever.
We'd have no hesitation in going back if we were to be touring that way again. The pitch was wide and all services worked perfectly. A bit breezy on the top terrace, but the views were wonderful. The showers and toilets are the best we've seen, so clean and pleasantly fragrant.
So much to see and do around there, we could have stayed longer and still not ticked it all off. A great break, a wonderful site and lovely people.

Perfection from the moment we arrived. This site is run by the most lovely people who gave a warm welcome, including to our German Shepherd. The site is spotlessly tidy and very quiet - each pitch is private and spacious and views are to die for.
We realised we'd 'misplaced' an awning connector somewhere and so couldn't put the awning up, lo and behold the owners lent us the necessary piece without hesitation.
Facilities are 10/10 - heated, spacious, stocked with lovely products/towels and the cleanest I've seen - more like a 5* hotel than a caravan site!
We can't wait to return.

Our second stay at this lovely site, this time stayed for 5 nights. The site is just perfect for us and we only wished I lived a bit closer to visit more often. Personally, we can't fault the site, although I've no doubt Hywel and Cathrin will continue to improve it. Once again we will only say it's one of the best sites we've stayed at and look forward to our next visit.

This was our first visit to this site - on our way to a weeks stay in Pembrokeshire. Hywell met us as we drove in and showed us our pitch and even helped us unhook the caravan and get it in place! The campsite itself is spotless. Agree with all the other reviews about the facilities - can't fault them. We had use of the field behind the campsite to give our dog a good run round after our journey. No shop on site - but large shopping centres nearby so this wasn't a problem. Would thoroughly recommend this site - from the moment we arrived to when we left (and thanks again to Hywell for assisting us newbies with the caravan!) it was fautless. Keep up the good work.

One of the best sites I have been to. Everything on this adult only site was first class and really well looked after.
From the pitches to the toilets and showers first class and spotless.
Hewell was there to greet you, take you to your pitch, help you locate your caravan and give you a folder to help during your visit with the facilities and where you could visit. We were on a full service pitch, that was a large hardstanding area.
No local shops but a couple of miles down the road were two large shopping areas which would cope for all your needs.
