Want to Manor Farm over August Bank Holiday. The site has some good facility's but could do with some simple things done to make it a very good site. On arrival it was 'Pick what pitch you want out of those three over there' and that was it, no instructions on where anything was, when anything was open or what was in the area! Shop on site never seemed to be open. It was a bit tight on the pitch and you didn't have much room but as it was the bank holiday and quite busy it might be better another time.
Good location, near shops, takeaway and beach. Easy to find. Bus stop right outside site if you want to go to Lyme Regis. Good kids playground, takeaway on site ok (better one in town) and clubhouse had different things on over weekend.
Toilets got dirty at end of the day and some of the showers in the women's block didn't have locks on the doors.
Didn't use pool or leisure centre but it looked ok.
Would have given it better rating if the staff had been more helpful on arrival and easier to find.

What a wonderful site in a wonderful location. We have been coming here as s family for three years and cannot find fault. Great facilities, welcoming staff and amazing entertainment. They provide ample wash facilities along with a laundrette all of a high standard. The pool provides indoor luxury with the benefits of a retractable roof for those hot summer days, and when your feeling energetic they have a superb well equipped gym, all of this run by pleasant competent staff. Not forgetting the coffee shop run by the master of coffee makers. Fabulous! Now onto the entertainment. What a wonderful array of weekly activities ranging from bingo, family night ( a great one for the kids ), horse racing, karaoke the list goes on plus some fab live acts and tribute nights. This is truly a site I cannot fault and will be returning too next year and we can't wait. Thank you Manor Farm see you next year.

The booking process was very easy and pleasant. Robin (the owner) was very helpful and did not get confused by the sheer number of us (4 tent pitches with and without EHU and a cottage). There was also another group joining us (5 tents and a campervan) who booked separately.
Upon arrival it was confusing as to where we needed to book in (this could be better signposted). As there are no marked pitches on the fields it is a 'free for all' where you pitch. There are plenty of fields to pitch up on and by the looks the farthest away fields were empty.
The middle toilet/laundry/shower block consisted of:-
Washing up room with five sinks and drainers, tumble dryer (cost about £3-£4 to dry towels, jeans etc. ) and washing machine (which was not working while we were there) this was closed between 9pm and 7am.
Ladies toilets with 6 toilets and 3 sinks - the soap and toilet paper was replenished at the end of the day and lightly cleaned. Even though it was not dirty I have used cleaner facilities and a nice feature would be a step for the little ones so they can reach the sink.
Ladies shower block with sinks, 5 showers (one which just dripped water) and a toilet. The showers were a good size where you could hang your clothes up without them getting wet and plenty of room to get dressed. Again they were not dirty but could have been cleaner and a nice addition would be a mop or something to scrap the water down the drain once finished. These were also locked between 9pm and 8am.
Mens were on the other side. I assume all blocks were the same.
We used the swimming pool on a few occasions and it was a nice pool. There was no jumping allowed, no water pistols, no balls.
We went to the bar/entertainment lounge one night and had a good time.
The area is lovely and there is a pub in the town, pharmacy, shop, market. Everything you could need is in close driving distance including Morrisons and Tesco. There is also plenty to do and we were never bored.

Spent 10 nights camping early July 2015. It is a great location - 10 mins walk from the beach, 2 pubs, butcher/baker/post office/ general store/mini supermarket in village 5 min walk away. The bus stop for route from Weymouth to Lyme Regis and beyond is just outside site entrance. We tend to just like a nice location but the facilities ie club, pool, play area looked good although we didn't use them. A lot of the camping field is on a bit (or lot) of a hill. We were early season so top field not open. We opted for a flatter pitch which there are a few areas and not too close to all the caravans - the compromise was a) the road noise - but ok especially at night and after a few days you don't notice it so much and b) a 5 min walk to toilet block as the other one nearest us wasn't open apart from Fri-Sun when bit busier - but again after a day it became the norm. We felt that the many many positives outweigh the couple of negatives. We would definitely camp there again. The staff were very friendly and relaxed. One issue the first day my husband noticed no hand cleaner in the toilet dispenser and in one toilet when flushed it was blocked - seemed the pan was cracked (read some comments about this before leaving) - but when I told the owner he thanked me for telling him and to be fair it was all fixed by the following day.

Stayed 3 nights. Was a bit confusing where to go to book In As its low season and we were there Wednesday to Saturday the main shower and toilets were not open but we were told the disabled toilet / shower was open for us. I was seriously shocked ! If I was disabled and was expected to use that I'd be very upset. As it was we did use it as there was no alternative but normally I shower daily but only used it once! I took photos to back up but it was all rusty, nasty fittings, floor looked dirty but think that was limescale really really upset got any disabled patrons
But the site itself looked nice. Again as low season no entertainments, bar etc open but then we wouldn't have stayed as we don't like the whole 'clubhouse' experience
We had a level hard standing pitch
A short walk down to the beach and a couple of nice pubs to eat in, the royal oak and the George.
A lot of the town seems to shut on a Tuesday and wednesday in winter.
Fish & chip shop is only open Thursday, Friday & Saturday but we had the nicest fish and chips I had for a very long time.

I didn't anticipate the facilities would be this basic for our weekend visit to this locality, but it was the 3rd week in January. The only shower was unusable, but if you paid an additional £4, you could use the Char Valley Fitness Club facilities. I can just imagine this camp site in the summer, a hive of activity.
It was a perfect weekend for weather, and I was impressed with the situation of the site having easy access to the beach, and only a couple of miles for the visit to Lyme Regis. The DEFRA injection of £19. 5m for the sea wall and promenade was really impressive, we'll have to return next year to see how the shrubs and tree's have grown as they have some way to go before their established. It was a great relaxing weekend break and slept like a log.

OK site, very crowded and varying quality of pitches, we were put in the swimming pool car park effectively! The warden is a character and wont check you in if its his lunchtime. He flys around on a buggy and will seriously hurt a child at some point. It was clean but only site where the showers are closed at 9pm! The shop and takeaway were ok too. Good location for the coast as near main A road to get to lots of places.

This is a very nice site. The toilet and show facilities are clean and tidy and there is a children's playground and also a swimming pool. There is also a bar which offers entertainment at the weekend and also bingo. The site is quite extensive and offers a variety of pitches. There are also quite a number of permanent touring vans on site who have made the most of their plots by adding little gardens, lights and various garden ornaments. If you go around at night it's like a miniature Blackpool.
We had two fabulous weeks here no doubt helped by the fantastic weather.
The park is situated in the small village of Charmouth around three miles from Lyme Regis. It has a couple of pubs, butchers, bakers (no candlestick makers!), post office, chip shop, restaurant and various other shops so you are well catered for. It's a 10 minute walk from the beach where you can find two small cafes plus a fossil shop and museum.
The only downside to the park is it's proximity to the main road running through Dorset. Depending on where you are on the site depends on how much you can here it. We were near the toilet block so although we were aware of it, it didn't cause us any problems but I can see that somebody camping in the top field might have a different view.
All in all we had a great time and would definitely return.

A nice locational site and first impressions are good. HOWEVER, no basic information about the site is given upon arrival. Even the lady in reception wasn't able to tell us where the waste drainage was! We eventually discovered it on the side of the actual reception building! Our pitch was waterlogged and after a day of dry weather became smelly. Due to stale puddled water in the grass because of poor drainage. The shower block closes ridiculously early at 9pm! There are far too many seasonal pitches, where several of the occupants gather together and are very loud and noisy until gone 1am! When asked politely if they could quieten down the noise (we were concerned they would wake up our children and we were having difficulty getting to sleep ourselves). We were met with the response of 'We're on holiday and we can do what we want. Our children are still up so what's the big deal?' We were then met with hostile stares at every opportunity the following day! And their kids then went on to bully ours in the playground. Remember, this is the occupants of several seasonal pitches, not just one! We did consider complaining to the site management, but then saw one of the site workers socialising with the group for most of the day, so they are obviously friends or family of the site owners! I guess this explains why none of the management of this family run site, monitor the noise levels from their seasonal pitches! Would we return? No!

We stayed at this site for 1 week and are seasoned campers, although this was our first stay at a 'Holiday Park'.
Positives:
Family run, staff polite and attentive.
Swimming pool facilities were excellent and although no lifeguard present, the pool is watched by member of staff to ensure toddler pool is for toddlers only!
The club house is good size for the site. Bar was reasonably priced, pool table, a few arcade machines etc located within.
Entertainment was reasonably good - certainly raised a smile!
The toilet & shower blocks appear to be relatively new - say 2 years.
Children's play area was well used!
Negatives
The toilet and shower blocks are cleaned once a day - but personally felt that the quality of cleaning could be improved, floors in particular around urinals.
Some of the tent pitches are on slopes - get used to it in Dorset!
There are no pitch allocations and felt that our neighbours were a little too close for comfort, that was somewhat surprising given that the site was not fully booked at the time.
Agree with previous comments about the on site shop - but kids loved getting their sweets there!
Laudertte facilities were not working within the camping area - no signage to report this and at £4 a load thought it was a bit steep, but the facilities in the main block were excellent.
Charmouth itself is very pleasent and would strongly recommend the fish and chip restaurant on the high street and the 'George' pub nearby. Post office, off licence and 'Hidden' bakery are all within 10 min walk from the site.
The beach is about 15 min walk and worth a visit for fossil hunting etc.
Regular bus service to Lyme Regis (£10 for a family rover return ticket) - bus stop opposite the campsite entrance and worth it to avoid the parking chaos in Lyme (unless you get there really early)
Overall a good site.
