Good size site, and very quiet as we visited early in the year. Didn't have access to the whole site but it was all very well kept.
Toilets and showers all worked well and relatively clean. I imagine this will be packed later in the year.
Good selection of activities for the kids available. Trains are close by but nothing too disturbing. Went to the pub for lunch which we can highly recommend.
Overall a great experience!

I have not been here for over 18 months give or take and since then static Tents and Hard standings have appeared which is all good but the TV reception and wifi for the area is poor to say the least.
The Main road is busy but T E Lawrence is buried a mile or two on a quiet road for the walkers and bike riders amounst us.
The Train line next door is good as you can go anywhere you want. They seem to employing new staff and they were very helpful and made the stay enjoyable.

One of our favourite sites and the only one we have visited twice. Ideally situated for this part of Dorset the site is typical for C&CC, well run with immaculate facilities, but it's what's outside the site that makes it.
At the entrance is the Frampton Arms pub, with two bars, one RAF Warmwell themed, the other railway. Good beer and food. Next door to that is Moreton train station where you can get trains to Dorchester and Weymouth one way and Poole and Bournemouth the other. There is a co-op store 15 mins walk towards Warmwell too.
First day we caught the train to Dorchester and spent the day mooching round the county town. The next day the train to Weymouth (£6ish adult return)for the Wessex folk festival. Well worth a visit.
Ps. Of note, we were on a grass only pitch at the lower end of the site this time (90) and it seemed there was only a couple of inches of top soil over hardcore. Made for frustrating time pegging out, but don't let this put you off a great site.

To Find Site:- From Dorchester leave A35 onto A352. At roundabout take B3390 towards Crossways. Go through village and site is immediately past level crossing on the right next to the pub.
The Moreton C&CC site is situated in the countryside about seven miles from Dorchester. It is open from late March to early November and accepts non-members. There are 120 pitches, some are on hardstandings and the majority on grass. Like all C&CC sites you can determine the type of pitch when booking. Those pitches which are designated electric pitches have conveniently placed points which are rated at 16 amps and use CEE17 blue connectors. Water and waste water disposal points are at either of the two toilet blocks and same is the case for chemical disposal. The actual toilet blocks are clean and functional rather than being luxurious. Both have covered, but not fully enclosed, washing up areas. There are also laundry facilities but these are at the back of Reception. For children there is a nice adventure style playground. There is site wide WiFi but the reliability of the service varied a lot. Unfortunately on some networks the mobile signal is also poor. Reception sells a few essentials and next door is a comprehensive information room. A railway line runs along one side of the site. Whilst the trains are not particularly noisy some do sound their horn as they approach the level crossing, fortunately this does not happen overnight.
This site is very convenient for touring this part of Dorset with Dorchester only being a few miles away and Weymouth and Swanage just a little further on. For those not wanting to use their own transport Moreton Station is a short distance from the campsite with regular trains to Dorchester and Weymouth in one direction and Bournemouth and Southampton in the other. For food shopping there is a general store in Crossways a short distance from the site. Major supermarkets are situated in all the major towns locally.

A very pleasant, well maintained site with friendly and helpul wardens. Shower-toilet block of high standard with plenty of elbow room in shower. Frampton Arms pub, next door, serves excellent food at reasonable prices and campers get 10% discount, dogs alowed in certain areas Including dining. We had an excellent stay. Downside: very close to a noisy railway line, TV receception poor as was mobile reception and a portable wrooter didn't work at all. Well worth a visit.

Arrived on site, felt a little uncomfortable because being new C&CC Members my membership card had not arrived, although I had my membership number and a copy of the e-mail, I was told that they really needed to see my membership card.
We had a hard standing pitch which was a nice size for our 7. 5 meter motorhome. The grass pitches were behind the hard standing and the cars used any available space between the hard standing pitches to get out onto the site road.
The toilets were clean but I think in the season 6 female showers divided between two shower blocks might result in a little queue.
The railway station is very close with a good hourly train to Weymouth or Waterloo and all stations in between. Please note that the noise of the trains is not a problem but the railway crossing itself only has half barriers so, the trains have to use there horns just before the crossing and right by the camp site.
The pub at the entrance is very nice we ate in here I need night it's was good food at reasonable prices, (take you membership card for a discount).
We would stay here again because of it close proximity to the station.

First visit to this site. Very pleased. Clean toilets, large enough showers with plenty of hot water at any time.
Level plots and we were guided to ours with no whinging about driving over the grass.
Customer reception was excellent and we were offered a paper every day. When it didn't arrive one day one of the staff drove to the local Co-op and bought one for us.
Location is excellent for the area, Lulworth Cove, Tank Museum, Monkey World, and a number of National Trust sites.
Very pleasant pub within 50yds of the gate that served very nice food.
If I have a criticism (and it isn't the fault of the site) it is that the site is adjacent to a small local railway station and level crossing. I don't know if it is common practice but every time a train approached it hooted between the hours of about 0730hrs to 2300hrs. It didn't bother us much as we're in our 60's but someone with very young children may find it a nuisance.
Definitely would visit again.

A very clean and tidy site, only a few hard standing pitches but grass areas quite firm but you will need to level up. Facilities very clean but not many showers. Laundry well equipped with outside drying area. Very close to railway station with easy access for trains on the main London to Weymouth line. I was told it was easier to get train than bus as bus stop a long walk. Park looked well equipped. I have stayed at this site before and I would stay again.

Stayed here with other half and 5yo boy for the Bournemouth Air Festival. Moreton train station being a 2 min walk away and then 40 mins to Bournemouth.
Site is well kept, clean facilities, staff very friendly. Quite a lot of pitches squeezed in the available space, but didn't have any issues. Train noise didn't bother us.
Small play area for the kids, small shop with basics plus an info room with maps, flyers and lots of menus.
Packed up a day early just to avoid the forecast torrential rain. (which was definitely the right decision). Would be happy to stay here again.
Went to have a meal at the Frampton Arms, but was quite frankly disgusted with the rude man who 'was' going to be serving us. So we quickly departed and went to the Martyrs Inn (10 min drive away) instead. Good food, nice ale, polite staff!
Also went to Weymouth, a classic British seaside town.

Very excited about this trip as it was my first ever camping trip with my partner. We arrived a little early so went straight into reception. Felt like we walked into a bad atmosphere. Didn't get much of a welcome (by now my bubble was burst all excitement lost )
Was shown to are pitch which was asked if we liked trains?? but got the impression tuff if you don't. We were pointed to pitch and left and that was it very disappointed with staff.
Moving on though. The site is very clean pitches spacious. Showers and toilet block could do with being upgraded. Dishwashing area very clean too.
The area of moreton is amazing plenty to do. Moreton tea rooms a massive must to visit when there look around the village as you will see Lawrence of Arabia grave. Also pay a vist to the church.
Trains are very regular but you will get used to them.
