Lovely site. The managers were all very friendly and helpful to me, especially when I had a small accident and cut my finger. They patched me up, drove me to the doctors and even came to check if something needed fixing on my caravan (I'd caught my finger in the door-handle). My children found the trains highly entertaining and the park is fine, more equipment than the standard swing & slide found at other C&CC sites. I was given a choice of pitches, all seemed to be of a good size and I didn't find the road or train-track noisy. I live in a quiet village so would notice if the noise was loud! The parent shower room was great and all the facilities were kept spotless, with fresh flowers in the ladies (can't comment on the gents!). All the attractions have been mentioned before, there is also a forestry commission wood just further up the road for some good walks. Will definitely return to this site.

This site and the wardens are first class. Site always clean and tidy, as are the toilet and shower facilities. Wardens are always welcoming and friendly, lovely site also good pub at entrance to site and good rail links into Weymouth and surrounding areas. Does get busy in summer would advise booking in peak times

The site is situated right next to a pub and Moreton station. Apart from the odd bell ringing for the level crossing the closeness of the station is not a problem. In fact it is very useful for visiting the local area e.g. Dorchester, Weymouth etc. The campsite staff are very friendly. The site itself is not that large, and is very clean and quiet. There are only 3 showers for the ladies but this did not seem to cause a problem. It does have a parent and child room which was fantastic. The site shop was a bit useless, and although there is a small garage / shop nearby the nearest big shop is in Dorchester (5 miles). Fish and chips on Wed and Sat are fab!

Spent a week at this site with friends - upon arrival we were all a bit disappointed with the the way the units were all packed together although the 6m rule was observed that left no space between. The play park and ball areas were both small, and as previous comments have mentioned one set of ladies toilets only had two showers, my husband also said he had to queue every day for a shower unless he got over there at 6.30 in the morning! One warden in particular didnot seem very happy and needed to make up his mind where exactly he wanted us to park our car. Lovely area though and lots of places to visit such as Swanage and Durlston Couuntry Park and the Blue Pool (lovely cream tea!). Would visit the area again but would probably not return to this site.

I was impressed by this site, we were met by friendly staff on entry and it was spotlessly clean, the kids loved the play park and would spend hours in there. The 2 toilet blocks seemed to be small with only 3 shower rooms in each but they were never that busy. It was a quiet and relaxing site, the only disturbance was the nearby level crossing which sounded like a school bell and the road which only the bikers and boy racers seemed to use as it was very straight, this isn't a busy road however. Right next door there's a nice pub with huge beer garden with play area for the kids and with the train station being within walking distance, Weymouth and other towns were only a few minutes away. A great location for those who leave a bit of peace and also like to leave their cars and use public transport.

This is one of our favourite sites. Beautifully kept and sparklingly clean, only downside is the wardens can get a bit stressed out at times (but who can't).
The Pub next door has exactly the same staff (bar & restaurant) today as when we first visited 6years ago and that speaks volumes. OK it's a tad pricey but the quality is superb.
The trip into Weymouth by train is an adventure in itself and Weymouth is the quintessential English seaside resort, slightly blousey by now, but can still turn an atractive site.
Surrounding attractions to name just a few are:- Weymouth:- Shopping;exploring the Nothe Fort;Boat trip to Portland Harbour;River walks;Golden sands. Bovington Tank Museum; Wool Monkey Sanctuary; Abbotsbury Swanery; Wareham Riverside Wharf; Lawrence of Arabia's Home; etc. Etc. Etc.
If quality is more important than price (without going overboard) then this is a superb site and base.

Just come back from a weeks visit. What a lovely site right next to the local pub and restaurant and 100 yards away from the railway station. 2 toilet blocks with free showers and 2 weekly visits from a fish and chip van. Plenty of things to do in the area including Monkey World and Bovington Tank museum. Very close to Dorchester and Weymouth. Well recommended
