Excellent well kept site, Very busy over the Bank Holiday weekend 23rd May really packed them in but there was still just enough space.
Both toilet blocks were spotless for the entire week.
On arrival the staff could not have been more helpful and helped to get the rig into place so as to maximise the space around us.
Large play area for the kids, I would suggest asking for a spot away from this if you like a quiet evening. Also the staff were very quick to ask people to turn off music when some people forgot we don't all want to listen to their music, something I wish more sites would do.
Some slightly slopping pitches so if you need flat be sure to ask when you book if its busy.
Railway station across road allows for easy access to Weymouth, £10 for a family of 4 off peak, cheaper than driving and parking and Weymouth station is a stones throw from the beach, train will also get you to Poole and Bournemouth if you want.
Pub is next door. The meals were not the best value but maybe I'm expecting beer to still be £1 as well ;). Large garden with children's play area and a large family area including pool table.
Good walking and countryside nearby but nothing else which for us was bliss.
All in all an excellent site

I stayed here for Easter week with my wife and 3 kids. We really enjoyed staying here. It is a lovely site. The wardens were friendly and located us near the children's play area. There were lots of kids there and in the morning and evening the children all ran round together in the large play area. The site is very clean and tidy and well maintained. There is a family shower room with a baby bath and changer (key £5 deposit from reception). There were mostly caravans at the site, followed by motor caravans, then camper vans and a few tents. There is a pub next door, but it is not that nice, as people with children are segregated in a 'family room' away from the main pub. There is lots to do in the surrounding area; Lulworth Cove is very nice. The tank museum at Bovington is nearby, but a bit expensive, and not as interactive as the Fleet Air Arm museum in nearby Somerset. We definitely would like to visit this site again, and it also easy to get to (we travelled from SE London with no difficulty).

The site is well equipped and the facilities good and are all well described elsewhere. The comments relating to the number of showers etc are correct, at busy periods some waiting was required.
The site is well located for lots of local attractions. We used the pub one night to eat, basic bar menu with basket meals.
Parking for 1 car only is allowed with a small overspill car park up by reception. If you cant get in there then you have to park at the railway station over the road but this wasn't a problem.
Whilst the site ticked all the boxes for facilities and location it had a very regimented Holiday Camp feel and the staff were not very friendly though I see other comment on how well they got on. It wasn't the sort of site where I would want to stay and chillout for the day.

Just returned from this site after being able to arrange a last minute booking for the BH. First impressions were good.
The site is well maintained and flat. There is a children's playground in one corner - there are pitches very close to it which may appeal or not depending on whether you have children!
Site staff are helpful, and there is a small shop on site selling the usual useful basics. There is a fast food van that comes to the site on Sat & Wed evenings. Didn't try the food, but there was a big queue for it so obviously popular! There is a pub right by the entrance but can't comment as didn't go in.
Our pitch had plenty of room but was right next door to the facilities, which had its pros and cons. Pros are pretty obvious, especially as we are in a tent, but it was a busy location as people were constantly coming and going, and the washing up place was right nearby which created a lot of noise. There was also the night light for the facilities which shone right into our tent. The cons ended up outweighing the pros, so try to avoid pitch number 64 if you want some quiet.
There are two shower & loo blocks; each has enough loos and sinks, one ladies block has 3 showers and the other only two. The men's are about the same. We showered at 7am each morning to avoid the queues; for a campsite this size there should be a few more showers. The facilities were fine, but could benefit from a re-furb. The staff though kept them clean and tidy.
The location is fabulous. Only 20 mins away from Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove. Corfe Castle (National Trust) is very close too, as is Studland Beach (if you are not a NT member, there is an £8 car charge). All well worth visiting. Bovington Tank museum and Monkey World are right on the doorstep and there are some NT properties nearby too. There is plenty to see and do within 40 mins of the site, even when the weather is not that great.
We were very lucky to find a pitch the day before the BH, and even luckier to find that the site was a good one. We can recommend it and plan to return as there is still so much to explore in the area.

Nice c&c club site with very friendly staff, there was a small shop on site & a good information room with things like directions to supermarkets, train times etc. Two toilet/shower blocks which can get a little busy at times & a laundrey room.
We enjoyed our visit to this site, it was up to the standard of most c&c club sites. When we arrived the warden's quickly booked us in & got us sited on a nice level pitch. We soon found the Frampton arms right outside the site entrance a very nice pub serving good food, as other people have said it is a little pricey in the lounge but if you go into the bar they do a different (cheaper) menu.
The railway runs past the site & can be a little noisy with the trains sounding their horn as they go through the nearby station but no bother really! We caught the train into Bournmouth one day, there is an offer on with the tickets if more than two people are traveling but you need to book at a manned station (Wymouth) to get it, it worked out about £16.00 return for four of us so not worth taking the car.
We will return to this site when visiting Dorset again

Stayed for two weeks June/July, pitched behind top block backed against high trees which provided some welcomed shade as it was very warm and sunny the first week and most of the second week. Sue and Paul site managers were very friendly and most helpful, train noise was not a problem although it can be heard. Frampton Arms was a bit pricey for food so went to the Smugglers Arms on the way to Weymouth. Much easier to use the trains for Weymouth, Swanage, would certainly go back next year if the same staff are there.

Visited with friends who managed to get a pitch next to us.
This is an excellent site with two blocks of facilities which were more than adequate.
The site is boring but that never bothers us as we just use it as a base for exploring the local area which in this case is brilliant.
The staff were friendly until we pitched a gazebo between our two tents - both blokes came over and told us to take it down in no uncertain terms - it was borderline rude but I think they were stressed as we did arrive at midday sun on a bank holiday weekend.
The play area is adequate but can only be seen fully from a few pitches so you need to be alert.
The site has one major redeeming factor - there is an excellent pub 10 yards from the entrance. If you go in the garden you get an excellent menu with proper kids food at very reasonanle prices. (There is an excellent restaurant inside also). The garden has good play facilities too.
They sell Ringwood beer which is always a good pint.
There is also a mainline train station opposite and its only 20 mins to Weymouth.
This site is an excellent base for exploring Dorset. It has excellent showers / loos / washing up and if you like your beer you can't go wrong. Recommended.

We had a long weekend here and I have thought long and hard about how to review this site, I have even waited ten days to see if my perceptions changed at all but they have not.
Moreton was a bit of a disappointment, not a disaster but very much underwhelming. It is a field with a couple of toilet blocks and a small 'shop' that opened occasionally.
The people were lovely, there appeared to be two couples running the place and they were friendly, even though they were very busy, and they are a credit to the C.& C.C. But they were the highlight.
The toilet blocks were functional but very over-subscribed, there were a half dozen urinals and the same number of lavatorys for 120 barbeque munching punters. You can imagine the queues in the morning and when you factor in the closure of each block for cleaning every day there was serious under capacity!
The playground was dull, according to my nine year old, and judging by the number of kids using the main drag through the site as a racetrack, she was not alone in this observation. Safe enough but just dull.
The shop barely deserves a mention and considering the complete lack of any retail outlets in Moreton maybe the site is missing a trick here. The petrol station up the road had an off licence and a few bits but if you are on foot then take sufficient shopping with you. In fact walking around here was a problem because of the lack of pavements or indeed footpaths. We eventually found the Jubilee Trail but risking life and limb with the kids on a B road that obviously had no speed enforcement was a little taxing on the nerves.
There is a pub at the entrance to the site, the Frampton Arms and judging from the racket that was booming out of there on the Saturday night, Peter Frampton must have popped in, it was a horrible noise but thankfully they do not have a late licence. We did not go in!
I have had another look in the club book and realise now that the young lady posing so enigmatically on the bench (Same young lady in the photograph for Charmouth!) is in fact enjoying the sites leisure centre because unless you have a car or are prepared to risk the railways there is nothing to do here except sit on the bench and listen to the disco music from the pub. Another minor moan would be about the complete lack of recycling facilities, everything in the bin, but this may be a local council problem.
Reading this back it looks as if we had a terrible time, we didn't, it was just that Moreton failed to excite or inspire and we will not be returning, there are far more interesting sites to be discovered!

Not the best C&CC site we've visited but it was of the usual high quality.
2 toilet blocks, both a little on the small side and one of them was unheated. Not much fun on a busy easter weekend where night time temps dropped below zero let me assure you! Shop was so small as to be pointless but you could at least get a bottle of milk and there's a decent sized shop down the road at the garage by the caravan club site.
Site managers friendly enough although got a bit frosty when one of our party was taken ill in the night and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance. The ambulance was denied access (they ignored it beleiving it to be a lte arriving van!) and had to carry equipment across to the unit.
Supermarkets etc in Dorchester. Nice tea rooms in Moreton itself about a mile and a hlaf away which serves a very good carvery sunday lunch. Train fare to Bournemouth very reasonable so take the train rather than struggle to park.
6/10 from me.

Spent a week here during half term and were impressed.
The facilities were what you would expect on a C&CC site - spotlessly clean and well maintained (only 3 showers in the ladies while we were there, as one of the blocks had been closed. Even so, we never had to queue)
Very friendly staff and the place was well laid out with spacious pitches. Good laundry room and a nice play area for the kids. Small shop on site that sold the basics - the nearest place to stock up on supplies was Dorchester - about 7 miles. There is a handy garage/shop in the village (Texaco) about half a mile from the level crossing.
Railway runs next to the site but this didn't bother us and as the trains don't run during the night, it didn't keep us awake.
Good location for visiting all the local attractions.
The only criticism would be that some people did not clean up after their animals in the dog walk area - making it most unpleasant for everyone else - thanks a lot!
Would definitely return to Moreton
