Stayed for the bank holiday weekend with friends who also had a touring caravan.
Overall our experience was very positive, although we didn't venture into the club at all.
We were on the 'lower' field which is only used when the main field is full.
The pitches are way too small, we were lucky that there was nobody on the pitch next to us so we could 'spread out' but otherwise you would really struggle to fit caravan, awning & car alongside each other.
Pool is nice although why they didn't put a few changing cubicles in there i'll never know.
The people opposite us who had a lovely caravan and a brand new VW transporter with rear seats & windows told us that the lady on reception wasn't going to let them on the site with a commercial vehicle - it would 'lower the tone' of the site! This was the only evidence of the over-zealous managment we heard about over the weekend.
Would probably stay here again, but only if Rudding Park is full.

I've got to say this has to be the best campsite that we've stayed at. Pitches are large and at only £24per night for bank holiday weekend is a BARGAIN!. Site is very clean and well maintained. My girls loved the swimming pool and play area. I loved the bar, very cheap and really nice home cooked food. {7pm-9pm}, there is also a fishing lake and dog walk. The staff are nice and friendly. The toilet block was clean, 20p for the showers. The site is located close to Harrogate and perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at High Moor over Easter Bank Holiday weekend. On arrival the site looked clean and well maintained with plenty of pitches available, however, throughout the course of the weekend the site got busier and busier and the pitches are very close together with no clear pathways from the pitches to the site facilities.
The shower blocks were filthy at all times of the day as was the washing facilities and throughout the 3 days we didn't see anyone cleaning the facilities with the bins overflowing too. It costs 20p for a cold shower!
The park and the swimming pool were the best parts of the site, although they were very strict in the pool. The site website said no scooters allowed so we didn't bring our little boys scooter, however, all kids had them and were zooming around the site without anyone saying anything.
We didn't go in to the bar area as we had heard how strict they were with kids and chose to eat in Harrogate with plenty of restaurants to choose from.
Overall a disappointing site, which was overpriced and under maintained.

Stayed over bank holiday, booked late so unfortunately got put in the overflow field. Main field would have been much better as play area is over there. Showers not bad, 20p for 5 mins. Not really a child friendly site, no scooters allowed, no changing room so had to walk in pouring rain and wind to caravan dripping wet, kids not allowed to have fun in club and it didn't open til late. We ate in the caravan or went into Harrogate as good not served til 7 and kids were shattered by then. Ok in general as a base to visit the local area. Also don't follow post code they give you it takes you to the farm not the caravan site and when we rang they said they don't tell people to go there but this shouldn't be on the leaflet if wrong!

Stayed here May Bank holiday for 2 nights and found everything great. The lady on reception was extremely helpful, we were given the choice of 2 plots, either the main field or the back field. We drove round the main area to the first plot but found it very busy and crammed so choose to go onto the other field. There was only about 7/8 other caravans on there but that didn't bother us. There was an issue getting into the gate of the other field due to needing to turn 90 degree turn which was impossible with a big car and caravan but no problem we just unhitched the caravan and various people came to help which was lovely. Once we were sited we put our awning up and parked our car next to the awning. As we didn't have immediate neighbours this wasn't an issue, however if we had neighbours we wouldn't have been able to park our car next to to our caravan. To me they are only big enough for either an awning or a car and could probably do with being spaced out better. We used the club house and would recommend the food and the prices were reasonable. There was raffle and bingo on but no other entertainment. We didn't use the pool or the dog walk. We did use the showers and I didn't mind paying 20p as the pitch was £23. 50 and I'd rather pay that than £25 and ''free' showers. Granted the water did go a little cold when 3 showers were on at once! All in all a lovely weekend away and we will probably return.

Just got back after a busy bank holiday. when arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady who was very helpful. we were shown our pitch and was rather disappointed, the pitches are so small we couldn't fully open a car door and had very little privacy with the caravan next door, caravan would have been better facing the opposite direction to the children's park.
Showers were clean but had a 20p for 5 min ( more like 3) charge for hot water, which I was surprised going by the expensive nightly rate. Popular park for the kids which my kids enjoyed, good dog walk around the perimeter of the park, fishing lake which we never used so can't comment.
Now the reason I won't be returning -the club house - clean, modern, reasonably priced food NO PRAMS not sure what they want me to do with a 6 week old baby without a pram whilst wanting to order food, kids have to give up their seats by 9pm to adults even if they have been sitting there all night, no kids at the bar it's a small room so that is quiet hard. We left and never went back.
There is a shop with everyday items such as coffee, milk papers, sweets but again no prams so not very children friendly

We are just back from a four night stay at High Moor Farm Park.
The park is easy to find on the A59 Skipton road. Once you turn off the road it has a nice, wide approach road to the site so no problems here.
The reception area is nice and modern and we were dealt with in a fast and efficient manner and off we went to our pitch.
Oh dear the pitch. We were so disappointed with the pitch. The pitch is so important to us. The hardstanding pitch was made of a brick/cobble type material with grass growing over the top. It was raining quite heavy when we arrived and there was already a bit of a muddy mess developing. For £25 a night incl awning I think it is very over priced. For this type of money I would expect a hardstanding service pitch with a degree of privacy. Even the seasonal and static pitches looked as if they could do with a serious upgrade as they were looking shabby.
The toilets and showers were clean and well kept however, after paying £25 a night for nothing special I thought the 20p a shower was a bit of a cheek.
The laundry and dishwashing area are clean and well kept with lots of hotwater.
There is a clubhouse on site which was opened the Friday and Saturday nights when we were there. They do a range of meals in here which are great value for money. The mixed grill is a must if you visit. The drinks at the bar were priced well also.
There is also on site a swimming pool which is free and an amusement arcade. There is also a shop on site stocking the normal essentials.
This is a site that is unfortunately lost in time somewhere but it does have great potential if harboured correctly.
We will definitely be visiting the area again but we wont be staying again I am afraid but we will pop in for a hearty meal and a game of bingo.

Very good site. Easy to find and good access road. Level pitches surrounding a large grassed area with swings etc. In centre. Two football pitches at side of site.
Excellent facilities (pot wash laundry and even baby wash) toilets spotless.
Large free to use swimming pool and games room with arcade machines and pool tables.
Very nice club house on site with decent beer and lagers at decent prices.
Dog walks available but we did not need so cannot comment.
All in all, a very good site.

Because we have a continental caravan we had to turn the caravan around for privacy to other campers, which was not a problem apart from the plot they put us was next to the rubbish bins. Therefore there was lots of people keep walking past the caravan at all hours to put their rubbish in the bins, (to me it was not the perfect spot or the bins could do with been moved)
Showers and toilet block where kept clean.
Personally I will not visit the site again.

Visited this site on a very busy bank holiday but only booked last minute and were pleased they could give us a pitch. The toilet block was very clean and the showers were lovely and hot. Never used the shop or the swimming pool so cannot comment. Electric hook-ups fine and water and rubbish bins were well appointed. The club is fine if you like bingo which was on both times we decided to pop in for an hour. There is nothing much around in walking distance but there is a pub called the Queens Inn in Kettlesing which we walked to a couple of times but the road at the top of the site (A59) is very busy but worth the risk if you both fancy a couple of drinks otherwise the drive is only 5 minutes as the pub is lovely and the food even better. The main problem we found was that the pitches were too small if you had caravan, awning and car and on the next pitch to us they parked their car so close to our caravan so they could get in the awning with children's bikes etc. There wasn't enough space for them to open their car doors fully and as this was only the 2nd outing with our caravan this made us extremely uneasy. Would not use the site again for this reason.
