This campsite is in a lovely location and we arrived during a particularly wet spell, so the ground was waterlogged. The management did their best to help us find a better drained pitch. This is the first campsite I have visited in the UK with no toilet paper or hand dryers provided. We were not told this on booking or arrival ( we did just turn up, no prior booking). Facilities were spotlessly clean.

Beautiful area of Wales, modest local shop, charming Elizabethan castle a short walk away from campsite as is the glorious Oxwich beach, rich with shells, sand dunes and marshland to explore.
Facilities are okay-ish. Take toilet rolls for facilities and 20p for 7. 5 min showers (which are warm but weak during high usage times), 20p also for hot washing up water (comes through after 5 mins wait)and for clothes drier. Clothes drier is okay for modest amount of items. Level pitches few and far between, expect a gradient. No electricity hook up. Tight access for large vehicles. Fun little pool.

Lovely site spread across 3 fields. Family focused with very friendly staff. Shower facilities always clean, and reasonable 6 minute shower for 20p. The shop is approximately half a mile away, although we were under the impression it was on site. The local beach was great, but slightly further afield is Rhossili Beach (and Worms Head) which is amazing and a must see (with pub, good food great views!). Beware the climb down to the beach as it is very steep.
We found the campsite to be in a lovely spot, and residents followed requests for quiet after 11pm.
This site could benefit from freshening up the pool area and dish washing area, but I'm being picky in order to present both sides!

Facilities all as described by other reviewers, mostly clean, 20p for 7 minute shower - prevents queuing quite well, 40p to hire ice blocks - there is no facility to freeze your own, 20p for hot water at pot wash.
Sadly, unless you are prepared to spend your day guarding your pitch, when it gets busy every time you come back either the new neighbours will have pinched your parking, or the tents across from you will have made access to the toilets a minefield of guyropes with no way through which isn't great if you're bursting. This place would benefit greatly by marking out some of the pitches. The staff are very friendly but presumably they are also at least partly to blame for our pitch being invaded. We booked for two weeks and ended up wishing we could leave after 6 days!
Pool is always heaving, and bring your own toilet roll!
As more happened to upset us we spoke to the and she was wonderful. The situation was resolved immediately! I have had to adjust the stars awarded.
I would like to add though that the location is beautiful and only marked down due to the access roads being so narrow. There are obvious good and bad points to this.
Everything else has to be compared to Gwithian Farm in Cornwall and while the people are lovely and everything is good, they aren't quite at their standard due to the pitches not being marked out and no 'on-field' road or pathways so I imagine the going would be very difficult in poor weather.

Originally booked as brother was having his wedding at a nearby hotel and this was the cheaper alternative to staying at the hotel. How pleasantly surprised where we as a family. We had a swimming pool, very clean toilets, fabulous views overlooking oxwich bay, (sunrise was amazing) not too far to the shop for all your essentials, utility room with sockets to charge phone. IPads etc, 20pence for 7minutes shower, again spotlessly clean, 20p for hot water at pot wash but never needed to put any money in as there always seemed to be hot water. Children loved it here. Don't forget loo roll as not provided. Beach shop, beach, cafe, and oxwich bay hotel with outdoor dining and seating all within walking distance,
Driving distance within 10 minutes we ate at both the King Arthur hotel/restaurant (fab steak). Also ate at the gower inn pub. Was very nice only went as showing sky sports but ended up having a meal.
All in all a very clean looked after site, carol and the other 2 staff work considerably hard to ensure all guest have a good sized pitch will definitely be returning in the future

Spent two nights here last weekend with my daughter and some friends and had a truly wonderful time.
The toilet block and showers are more than adequate and are kept clean. There aren't many showers - about 8 in total I think for the ladies, so there was some queuing time, however we just left it until a quieter time. It cost's 20 pence for 7 minutes and you can get change from reception - brilliant. Reception also rent out freezer blocks for 40 pence which were a lifesaver as ours soon thawed in the heat, and meant we kept all food and drink chilled.
As a mother to a 6 year old, with friends who had a 4 year old, this camp-site was perfect. Other campers were mainly families or couples so it was a safe haven for them and lots of fun as they all played together.
The outdoor swimming pool was a godsend especially as it was such a hot weekend. The only thing here was that it got very busy, and as it isn't a very large pool, there wasn't much room! However this was to be expected. One positive note though was that the owner of the camp site kept a watch, and was quite strict if there were too many older children running and jumping in etc. When there were little ones in the pool. I appreciated that as it did get a bit lairy at times! My only negative point here is that it doesn't open to until 10am for adults and 10. 30am for children - a nice early morning swim would've been great!
Its quite a trek from the camp site to the beach; a good 20 mins walk with little ones (probably faster with older ones) and the road is very narrow with little room for cars to pass each other. When we got there it was very busy with very little room on the soft dry sand. But this was to be expected considering the weather.
With regard to shop facilities, there is a shop and cafe near the beach, but it doesn't stock a lot, and food and booze was expensive. It was fine for snacks and ice cream, but unfortunately the alcohol was pricey! Bring plenty of your own and essentials to avoid spending too much here!
All in all though I would definitely recommend this camp site to families. Its nice and quiet at night, and very safe and friendly. Subsequently we are booked in again for this weekend.

Was booked in for 3 nights over the BH weekend. Wimped out of the first one due to the weather, arrived to find site rather soggy. Owners working hard to site people in best places and the sloping pitches at least drained quickly!
Location is a winner and pool is a bonus - good way of rinsing sand off kids after the beach!
Would go again for short breaks focused around the beach, is a bit out of the way for a longer stay - but then I get bored of beach after 2 days and want to explore more.
We were in the top field. There is a ditch that runs down the side of this that draws kids to it like moths to a flame, that was a pain but there is always somewhere for kids to go to get into mud!
The site website says no caravans or motor homes, there were a few VW campers though.
Toilets clean and plentiful.

I haven't been camping for nearly 30 years, so I chose my site carefully, and was really pleased with my choice! Oxwich Camping Park is a small friendly and well equipped site, only about 10 mins walk from the lovely sandy beach at Oxwich Bay.
There are two fields - sea views from the upper field, not from the lower one. On arrival, we were greeted by the friendly owners and given our choice of a number of pitches. Some of the field was sloping, so choose carefully.
Many of the best pitches were already taken by locals who pitch their tent there at the beginning of the school holidays and then leave it there, coming and going as they please.
It is a popular site obviously, but everyone was friendly and it was very quiet at night. It was very rainy when we were there, and the owners were very kind, offering us a tarpaulin to cover our little old tent, if we needed one. When it is rainy, they prefer you not to park on the grass, so it is slightly inconvenient not to have your car next to your tent when this happens.
The toilet block was clean, well lit and big enough for all there -but remember your toilet paper! Showers are 20p for 7 mins, but that is enough if you are organised! Warm washing up water is also 20p, but twice I managed to find free water where the person in front of me hadn't used up their allocation, probably because it is scorching hot!
There is also a laundry room with tumble dryers (not brilliant) but also a few plug sockets for hair dryers, straighteners, charging lamps, mobile phones etc. A real bonus I thought.
There is no shop on site, but there is a useful little shop, with cafe and ice cream parlour just near the beach. There is a pool on site, which I didn't use, but is heated apparently. It is not open all day and is closed I think after 5pm.
All in all, I thought it was a great little site and would definitely return if in the area.

There was a group of us (probably 6 tents), booked in advance. It is not always possible to have your car next to your tent which is a pain for us because we use the car as storage. We were allocated space in the lower field - furthest away from the loos and pool but nearest to the path to the beach. The beach is lovely when you get there but it is a good 15 minute walk along roads with no pavements. The showers and toilets are plentiful and generally clean enough; Having to remember loo roll and 20p pieces is a bit of a nuisance and if the weather is iffy it is a bit of a trek uphill to get to them. It was suitable for us as a group but I wouldn't go there for a couple holiday. Incidentally there is no option of hook up here.

Nice site in a fab location 15mins walk from Oxwich beach. Halfway down this road is a public footpath that's a great shortcut to Oxwich Castle and Greenways Leisure Park. We used Greenways as an alternative drinking hole to Oxwich Bay Hotel as we were fed up of the unavoidable wasps the hotel forces you to sit with.
Back to the site review. Nice showers (20p), clean loos (take own paper). Enough dishwashing facilities (20p). Take some 20p's!
Site sloping a bit in most places but, because of this, splendid views of the bay.
Friendly helpful staff.
Handy swimming pool for finishing off the kids if they've still got that little bit of energy left!
