We stayed at this site for 5 nights, having booked and picked our own serviced pitch.
On arrival we had a friendly informative reception. The pitch was very large and divided by nice shrubs.
The toilet blocks were particularly nice and modern with countryside sounds played through speakers.
The nearby village of Pooley Bridge has some shops and Cafes and a few nice pubs and is a very short walk.
The bus service is very good, which we used to Glenridding and walked 9 miles back along Ullswater and we did the same to Penrith.
All the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
We would return.

Fantastic campsite. We’ve stayed at a few sites around ullswater but this was by far the best.
Really friendly staff and pristine electric pitches and the toilet facilities are amazing.
5-10 min stroll to Pooley Bridge and ullswater lake and chippy/ breakfast/ pizza van on site certain nights.
I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.

A superb site in every way offering large pitches and a clean/modern toilet block with a 15 min downhill walk to Pooley bridge though a steep walk back to the touring area.
Was quiet at night with no noise issues and thought the lighting ok at night.
Didn't like the pubs much in Pooley bridge seemed a bit too foodie and a touch unfriendly. A good bus service from the village going to Penrith one way or Windermere the other.
Caught the weekend open top bus which was a great way to enjoy views of Ullswater.

Fantastic site and we will definitely be back. The only thing we found was that it was not well lit at night.
We unfortunately arrived in the dark due to the AA being rubbish, and it was difficult to find out pitch in the dark-they defo need more lighting to light up the pitch numbers,
But other than that-we loved it and so did our little doggy!
It would have been 10/10 were it not for the lighting issue.

This site never disappoints, some changes made to touring field which are an improvement (for caravanners), as they are adding more fully serviced pitches.
The toilet and shower facilities are 5* and there is a friendly feel on the site.
There is a 10-15 minute walk into Pooley Bridge with plenty of places to eat and drink.
All in all a fantastic base to holiday from.

Great campsite for families and couples. Not far from pooley bridge.
Pitches were spacious. Lovely views from our pitch and the best showers and toilets kept immaculately clean by Maggie and John.
Can't wait to return Jan&Ian

Can’t recommend enough. I travelled bikepacking solo and it was brilliant. Put on top field with incredible views.
Pooley bridge really close for pubs and shopping. Walks and cycle trails right from the site.
Lovely staff. Ultra clean and organised blocks.
Exactly what I needed thank you.

Fantastic site. Well laid out. Facilities excellent. Cleanest site I have ever been on.
Only 5 min walk into Pooley Bridge.
You can even buy a take away breakfast if you don't want to cook.
Will definitely be back
